I'm so frustrated to report that Airgami is actually going out of business. I'm happy to report though that I've found two suitable replacements for those of us interested in breathability: the Moldex 4600 Airwave and the 3M VFlex. Don't take it from me alone: Aaron Collins (aka Mask Nerd) tested and recommended these both among his top masks of 2023. A caveat: Moldex masks don't fit everyone. The M/L size of the 4600 fits me AMAZINGLY - I have a long face and high nose bridge. The 3M VFlex probably fits more people, but isn't as aesthetically pleasing. I still love it though. Check out Aaron Collins channel if you want more recommendations.
Informative video. Love your voice and delivery. Great demonstration of the Airgami mask. Very important content as the COVID-19 pandemic isn't over and we need to protect ourselves and those around us from transmission of the SARS-NCOV-2 virus. Masks do work!
Thank you for this video. I wear a FFP3 (in a classic N95 design) with a foam nose bridge and I get a tight seal by using the ear loops hook. I'm intrigued to try the airgami. It looks very promising and it comes in a variety of colors which is cool. A small correction: aerosols is the main mode of transmission of airborne pathogens.
Glad you found it useful! FFP3s are sleek and comfortable - my girlfriend likes those. I personally prefer the undyed (white) airgami - I wonder if the dyed ones give off VOCs. Anyway, good luck!
thank you Alex! answring your questions: i do wear mask in public places and in city. most irritating things for my airways are - perfume, cigaret smoke and exhaust gases. unfortunately still didn't find mask yet that would fully help me. apart comfort of wearing, there is another issue - most of types of masks/ filters don't filter perfume molecules.... still researching for the solution on this topic. if it is anyhow relevant - i have allergic asthma. and many allergies.
Have heard of the Airgami. Recently picked up a case of Moldex Airwave 4600 N95. They are also slightly pleated with EZ air resistance, except they have a horrible rubbery scent I can’t get used to. I pretty just use duckbills from 3M, Gerson, and Kimtech.
I’ve been meaning to try the Airwave 4600 so that’s good to know about the rubbery smell. Update: if I air out the Airwave for a day or so, the smell dissipates fairly quickly. I recommend airing out new masks before wearing. The 3M VFlex (duckbill) also has a smell initially.
This is a great video! I came here for an informative review after seeing Airgami will be ramping down production! 😢 i love the way these look! My husband has a longer face and high nose bridge -- this mask gives me hope!! Are there any other standouts for that face shape in your opinion? Thanks again, I'll be ordering! 😷
Thanks for watching 🙂 Where do you see that they’re ramping down production? I couldn’t find anything about that on any of their socials or their site. As far other masks that fit a longer face, I know there are others, but I haven’t tried any. Aaron Collins (aka Mask Nerd) tests a bunch - I think he knows some!
What are other masks you recommend? It’s not easy to find one that doesn’t stink - literally 😂 I’ve noticed several brands now have a rubbery flexible nose bridge. The fumes on that are super strong to me.
I feel your pain with the odor! I use the 3M VFlex. Great metal nose bridge. Amazing breathability. Top notch efficiency. It had only a slight odor at first that went away after I took it out of the package and let it air out for a day.
The search results for "what to do if you can't breath in a mask / if you hate wearing a mask" are absolutely disgusting, magnified by amount of views this video has, especially with the obviously intelligent creator of this video. Anyways... I Thank you Sir.
Thank you. Agreed about the search results. Unfortunately, we live in a world in which most people just don't know how to think logically and flexibly. This video has nothing to do with politics or morality. It's simply about devices that filter particulate, and are easy to breathe through. It's ridiculous to me how much extra baggage people layer over such a benign and useful subject.

Thanks, interesting. City air is very irritating to me too! I think P100 masks should capture VOCs.

Make us a less expensive option please
Hahah maybe someday 🙂
It seems that they end production
10/7/2024 - Airgami production is closed. Airgami is no longer available anywhere. Oh Well.
I have a pinned comment on this video discussing other options. Hope that helps!

So sad i saw this after they closed 😭
That would have been neat in 2020 or 2021. Breathability never was an issue for me, though.
I respect that. Thanks for watching anyway!
