I just recently upgraded from the Pixel 6a to the 7a and I'm really liking it. Coming from the Pixel 6 Pro, my favorite thing about it is the smaller size. It fits way better in my pocket and retains all the functionality.
Píxel 7a is a massive upgrade to the pixel 6a. For instance, the pixel 7a has a brighter and more colorful OLED display that goes up to 1070 nits of brightness, it has 90hz refresh rate, it has 8GB Of ram, Bluetooth 5.3, full aluminum framing, it has a 64mp Sony IMX 787 with a much wider depth of Field, it has 13mp Sony IMX 712 ultra wide sensor also with a much wider depth of Field and it has a 13mp Sony IMX 712 front camera that also has a much wider depth of Field than the pixel 6a. On top of that the pixel 7a front camera can record in 4k vs the 1080 video recording on the front camera of the pixel 6a. Just as mentioned in the video the 7a does have wireless charging which the 6a lacks. Also when it comes to camera features, the 7a has more camera features than the pixel 6a. Another feature the pixel 7a has is face unlock which again the pixel 6a lacks which explains why the 7a got a $50 price increase due to all the upgrades it has received. Overall i Think the 7a is the better choice because it does offer way more than the 6a. All of the above features i mentioned, the 6a doesn't even have but the 6a is a good choice for people who dont want to have that premium experience that the 7a offers.
Well you forget something. Pixel 7a is way better on gaming too. Tensor g2 soc doesnt overheating like the old tensor g1 soc. Pixel 7a is an overall better phone than pixel 6a. My pixel 6a sometines after almost 1 hour of gaming, used to turn off because of high temperature. With my 7a there are not problems like these...
Not really. My 6a has way more problems like these. After an hour of gaming it usually shutdown because of high temps. On my 7a i can play for hours without overheating problems. And the worst thing on 6a is when you play online games. It turn off connections after some time and you cant even play with it.

The 7a bezel is larger than the 6a. According to the GSMarena. The 6a has a 82.6% screen to body ratio, the 7a is 80%. A trivial difference.
I'm with you. Not enough of a jump in features for the price. But when the price drops... except if you already have the 6a that is.

Agreed 6a looks to be a better option/deal even in 2023.
Would you recommend a pixel 6a (new) for $350 or a pixel 7a (refurbished) for $399?
Pixel 6a Looks better for me
I think the 7a looks better.
Sexy 6a !
