People are _sooooooooo_ opionated, and fearful, and negative and ... about _Finnegans Wake,_ and theyve never even *tried to read it!* It's just unfair, and theyre wrong. Believe me: we'll have "lots of fun ..." I see you have the Michael Katz translation of _The Bros K._ I need to get mine, soon, too! Good one, Roy 🎉
What a year you are vaguely planning, Roy! I hope Dr. Jennie will continue with her poetry Thursdays, if she is inclined to carry on the tradition. Really enjoyed watching and hearing both of you this year. ❤️📚
I love the diversity of things you read, Roy. It's something I aspire to myself. 😛 I remember seeing the Sweet Valley High books around when I was younger but didn't have any interest at the time. Now that I know there's a werewolf sequence, my interest is piqued. 👀 That wooden "book box" is really neat. I'd stick books in it for my TBR (and then probably forget about them, but that's my problem, not the box 🤣). Hope your next reading year goes well and you enjoy all the classics. I think Finnegans Wake is a little too much for me at this point in time, but I look forward to following your progress with it. Happy Christmas to you both! 🥰
I'm in my 40s now and haven't read Sweet Valley High since the 90s. I used to read them as a teenager starting from Sweet Valley Twins because they were easy enough for me (English is not my native language). Good ol days! Among those in your list, I'd probably read Dostoevsky (but I might grab a Sweet Valley book if I see one in a thrift book store for nostalgia's sake)
Talking of things you said you'd do, what about the Fantasycon book haul, not to mention the things I sent you. There's stuff there that have rarely, if ever been seen on booktube. Not that I'm nagging. I mean, would I?😆
Blimey. If you find yourself in London for any of the “in London”, do let us know. There is an horrifically overpriced “Shaft” book, “Good-bye Mr Shaft”, set in London…
Cheers and Happy Holidays, Roy!
@@occultdetective Thanks man
Nice blend of classics and pulp. 😀
Ohhh! Ann Sheridan! Right up my alley!
SVH FTW!
Unfeasible!
I wonder if your 2025 TBR is like some of my reading plans: sometimes they aren't so different from a Superman Imaginary Tale. Good luck!

In six years on Booktube, I never thought I’d see a video talking about Finnegan’s Wake and Sweet Valley High! 💛
@@booksimnotreading Light and shade!
Good luck with your 2025 plans! They sound like they're going to be a lot of fun!
@@AbiofPellinor Thanks!
Dostoevsky and Sweet Valley High. I love it!
@@colonelmustardinthelibrary Variety is the spice of life!
Excellent plans for 2025 Roy. You definitely have your work cut out for you. Enjoy!
@fiberartsyreads Thanks Crystal
I love that the pulp is hidden away from unsuspecting visitors 😆

Impressive plans. Perhaps books for the same age group as Sweet Valley High, I am reading some Goosebumps books

I hope you'll be involved with Holmes is Where the Heart Is in February, Roy. I'm not sure yet if we'll keep the same prompts or change them up a bit.
@@MysteryandMayhem-gr7nn I hope so too! It was great last year.

I think FW is the using the words from Scabble boards to create a story. Of course, I have never read it.
