I have a black 2012 Boxster spyder with the manual 6 speed gearbox and in my opinion that's what makes the car whole. Gives it an authentic Porsche feel switching through the gears yourself, nothing better.
Thank you for your review. The front is completely different to the standard Boxster S of the time. The car comes standard with a manual 6 speed gearbox. The one you are driving weight quite a bit more because it has the optional PDK sequential box.
its funny the driver was saying that due to the break in the bad weather in SA that the roads were really busy whilst cruising at a 50 / 60 mph! come to london and the home counties and witness the joy in drivers faces when they finally manage to engage 2nd gear after an hour crawling in traffic!
For me, in a car that is not crazy fast and is a weekend, sunny day jaunt car, it would be more engaging to have the manual. In the faster Porsches or daily driver, I would go with the DCG.
i'm surprised that 180 some odd pounds makes such a difference. makes one tempted to toss out the passenger seat and a couple engine covers, the stereo, amp, speakers and AC compressor (no to mention those leaden door handles) on the standard boxster and see how well it performs.
Anyone thinks this will be a future classic?

Le toit se retire et se remet très facilement, faut juste pas être manchot 😂c'est une Porsche qui se mérite

the air vents are required for air intake and cooling. no way around it with the
design of the car.
