My Muse S says I get basically NO deep sleep (0-30 minutes) which is different from any other other sleep tracker I've ever used. I'm wondering if they constant Bluetooth communication all night is disrupting my deep sleep or if this is accurate. If it's accurate this is really something I need to deal with, but the only other person I know who has used it also was told they didn't get any deep sleep so I'm suspicious. Does yours tell you that you get deep sleep?
I use the apps SleepWatch and AutoSleep on my Apple watch/iPhone to track my sleep. How do they compare to the sleep data from the Muse 2? I have a Muse 2 but haven’t used it for sleep tracking since I get similar data from the apps.
@@Eackard I found the section of the Muse app that records and displays the tracked brainwave frequencies during sleep. SleepWatch and AutoSleep can't do this at all.
Awesome video! This inspires me to get the Muse headband as my Dreem 2 is slowly falling apart. But with the Muse will I need to have bluetooth on all night on my phone? Do you know if they plan on changing that?
Hey Cody! Thanks for that great video. I was using the whoop before (stopped as they had problems with android bluetooth connections), still using the oura ring (2nd generation) for sleep tracking. At the moment I would like to learn more about EEG and I was wondering if you would help me a bit with my choice. The MN8 headset from emotiv OR the muse s. Which one do you think would be better? I am not really into meditation, I just wanna see my brain waves. If it can track my sleep that is fine, but does not have to. I was looking for Mendi, but can't order it to Thailand where I live.
I owned a muse but battery life and comfy is a real issue since I will yank it off during my unconscious sleeping, most of the time! And something on my full head and ears does make me more difficult to go to sleep! So for brainwave-based sleep monitoring I think muse can come up a better mechanical structure to place electrical on your forehead. Now it's a beneficial side effect of meditation device! No they are use Apple Watch to check my sleep which I don't think is accurate enough, and I need to put my iPhone into sleep mode to start recording! But at least I get something ! I have taken a sleeping pill with high dosage for 20 years . The dosage oh went up along the years! No it's of charge is larger than the recommendation dosage! So that's why I shift my interest from meditation to sleep monitoring for my muse (headband)
Yes I had to get used to it as well. And had to charge every night or the battery life wouldn't make it through the night. I will have to compare to Apple Watch. Thanks for the comment!
The muse headband is not the golden standard, but you are implying in this video that it is. Its is not on the level of an PSG and your link and discount to muse over the timespan of 6 years lets me conclude this is not an objective review nor is it scientific. This is also a pattern with other videos, this is at best anecdotal evidence and at worst misinformation.

woah this is so cool
Thanks yeah I thought the data was really interesting
3:39 you're wearing your WHOOP backwards hehe the text should be readable & facing you
Great video. I haven't being using my Muse S Gen 2 for sleep tracking. But now I am inspired to do so.

You mentioned Muse brain age info, but the video linked is about Mendi. Could you add the Muse brain age info in the comments?
Thanks Lissal, the Muse Brain age video will be available next week
Please make a video where you compare the muse sleep stage graph with oura and whoop, so we can see if the stages overlap.
5:33 shoutout!!! ok last comment haha
BOOM
05:55 With my 8 hour my bed would do the same thing on saying, "you got a great night of sleep." Will look at the app and say don't gas light me. lol
Would love to see a sleep architecture graph from each device compared.
There's a channel in UA-cam the quantified scientists, he graphs devices sleep accuracy.
Yes, I've seen some of his stuff before? Do you prefer his data focus (without vblog) or was the vblog style of this video fun as well?
I like both!

Muse S does the sleep tracking. I will have to compare to Apple watch and iPhone!
You say that SleepWatch and AutoSleep in your apple watch has very similar sleep tracking compared with Muse 2?

@@maraschaeffer3010 But the sleep stages in AW apps are very similar to muse s? true?
@@maraschaeffer3010 Also brainwave frequencies during sleep make you know if the brain closes or not is it true?
I'm really hoping to see what you think of the soon to be released Bia Sleep Mask!

Silly question is this data private or does it all get uploaded.
Did you use Oura Ring Gen 2 or Gen 3?
In my experience, the Dreem 2 is still the best sleep quality tracker, but not available anymore for customers, except in India.

Out of interest which did you choose?
@@mikeinsomerset I used the MN8
@@motivationmore7025 how did you find it for monitoring sleep states - cheers

A sleep headband leaving stains is kind of inexcusable lol
8:30 'Without any restorative deep sleep'.
You had 56 min of deep sleep!!
Why do you say otherwise??
