- In this video, we compare the new 2024 Honda Motocompacto to the original Honda Motocompo. The Honda Motocompo folding scooter was released in 1981 and was made to go in the back of the Honda City kei car. Its mission was to get you from your parking spot to your final destination in the busy urban streets of Tokyo. Produced from 1981-1983, it was one of the most popular scooters Honda ever made and has become an iconic modern day retro classic. It was never released in the United States.
In 2024 Honda released the spiritual successor to the Motocompo in the form of the new Honda Motocompacto! This sleek electric scooter is a modern-day take on the original and, thankfully, did make its way to America! In This episode, we put them to the test in a full comparison to see which one comes out on top!
