Vindaloo is actually a Portuguese dish made up of pork marinated in wine and garlic. The best part about the recipe is that it has multiple variants. In this video, Maria Goretti prepares Mutton Vindaloo. Maria Goretti is making Mutton Vindaloo for you in a traditional way. Ingredients used in preparing Mutton Vindaloo:
· 1 kg Mutton
· 6 tbsp Vindaloo Masala
· 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
· 2 Onions ( Finely Sliced )
· Salt as per requirement
· Coriander Leaves
How to make Mutton Vindaloo:
1. Marinate 1 kg of mutton with 6 tbsp of East Indian Vindaloo Masala and keep it for atleast 3 hours. To grab the recipe of East Indian Vindaloo Masala, Click Here :goo.gl/QHyWqW
2.Pour 3 tbsp of vegetableoil in the pan and add finely sliced onion into it and fry it for 7 minutes.
3.Add the marinated mutton to it and allow it to cook for 25 minutes. Also add required amount of water, salt and oil to it.
4.Finally Garnish it with some fresh coriander leaves.

Hi Maria, the east Indian vindaloo masala is perfect, but u need to do a little correction , the pieces are not mutton shanks they are mutton ribs or chops. Well shanks are the leg part below the knees of veal, buffalo , happy cooking Maria

You have not mentioned what went into the masala you .marinated the mutton in.
Maria, shanks are the lower part of the leg of the animal just before you get to the hoof, and is always cut transversely. The pieces you have in your recipe are what we call chops which are part of the ribs. Vicky is right.

How many whistles do you need if you are cooking pork in a pressure cooker??
Mandar Wagholikar avoid pressure cooking pork, it tends to turn the fat and rind rubbery. Ideal to braise pork i.e. bring to boil quickly and then simmer for a minimum of 45 minutes and upto 75 minutes depending on the tenderness desired. Stir every 15 minutes. The meat and fat stays firm yet tender .
