  • This a explainer video on how to remove the heat sink from my previous video: • Vizio TV Turns On, But...
This explainer goes into detail on how to remove heat sink, clean the area, remove thermal paste from heat sink and affected chip, prepare the fixed chip with upgraded materials and to reassemble to install back into the TV.
This video was highly requested by the community and wanted to help everyone by providing an in-depth how to video.
This heat sink removal is applicable for these TV models: M75-C1, M65-C1, M50-C1, M49-C1, M43-C1 (possibly other models too)

Very helpful video...well done and instructive. Any chance you can add a link for the "low melt solder" you coat the mounting pins with early in the video?

@IDeviceRepairOrlando I own a vizio p65-e1, I wanna say it's 2017/18 model. It's going on 7 years old now. In the past 3 years however, iv had to pull the main process board and bake in oven. Iv had to do this 3 time per year now, every 4months. It's "working" untill it's not. Iv consider measuring and cut open the back plastic cover to install two smaller fans. One directly on top the main heat sink pushing external cool air and the other fan maybe 10inch above parallel exhausting. Probably have them powered on their own and just plugged up to wall hopfully🤷🏻‍♂️. Dose this sound at all worth a shot? Can't find a replacement board and this appears to be the least expensive route at the time. Any input or suggestions?
