    Thanks for the video. With your help I was able to narrow my
    D650I-B2's problem to the T-Con Board. I also Dremmeled out the IR
    window to make a better connection with the remote from a further
    distance. The hardest part of the fix was separating the back from the
    TV! yeesh! That thing was stubborn! Thanks!

      What was your tv doing? Mine is having issues as well

    I have a model E320i-A0
    Needed to crack into it because of the power button wearing out and breaking from its mounting.
    Unlike yours here the IR stuff is entirely mounted on the front/right(other lower corner from the IR sensor) and levering up gently with a flathead to pop it gently loose and then you shouldn't have issues getting into the back after...
    Rather than glue they appear to have used plastic catches so I'd reccomend taking it slow and gentle.

    The makeshift TV stand you had it on I can see why it fell and cracked the panel.

    Mine is way harder to remove than yours. I'm done for tonight but should I try and remove first from the bottom or the top? I have all screws removed but still will not come apart.

    OMG! Thank you! I blew the speakers on my VIZIO M60 and needed help removing the back to replace the speakers. Your video was priceless. Additionally, The back had built in clips I couldn’t see so it was harder to detach the bottom edge. While lifting the top edge of the TV back I could see A vary narrow gap around the bottom edge that wouldn’t release. I pressed a flat head screw driver in that gap while gently raising the back. Pressing the screwdriver released the built in clips and caused the rest of the TV back to release.

      So grateful we were able to help. Thanks so much for the feedback as well as the extra tips to help remove the back casing. Hope you were able to get your speakers working great.

      Little late I know but I would have just output the sound through a small stereo or computer. I don't even use my tv speakers.

    • @robertalopez1263
      @robertalopez1263 3 роки тому +1

      I agree. Thank you. Especially since I typically run the sound through an amplifier and external speakers (Blowing the TV speakers was a fluke event). However, I knew that if I ever wanted to buy a new TV, at the very least, I would want to give this TV to someone to use and I wanted to make it easy for that person to just plug and play. The speakers were only $13 each, if I remember correctly, which allows me to keep it out of a landfill a little longer, and allow someone else to get use out of it. Thank you. Much appreciated.

    My vision E420i-A0 is way harder to remove the back panel. I think it’s glued on like someone else said. I can’t just wiggle it off after removing all the screws. Just FYI for anyone else having issues.

    • @ALGH2101
      @ALGH2101 5 років тому +2

      Benjamin Vincent Yea I used a thin flat head and looked for areas I could slowly pry it open with little by little working my way down every 10in or so. When I say pry I mean nudge it a little then move down and nudge a little and continue or go back if it worked better in a certain area. Made small marks on plastic but very minor and I could have been a little more careful. Just take ur time with it and don’t do try to pry it with the flathead near the buttons or inferred sensor.

    Now, I've found that one of the problems with these sets is the grounding screws come lose from temperature expansion. do you know what size they are. Panasonic fixed their sets with lock washers. What size are the screws for the washers? I'm thinking internal tooth star washers.

      From everything I've read over the past few months trying to fix my flickering D43-F1 Vizio TV, T-Con board components or cable is usually the culprit for something like this happening. Mine is also pretty inconsistent and difficult to make it do it on command, but I plan on buying a T-Con board and cables shortly/taking apart my TV and checking for blown capacitors

    I bet i'm not the only one here trying to look at this back panel because the POWER CORD fell out....HORRIBLE design flaw but what a remarkable TV the Vizio is. Ive owned it since 2013. I got my 60" back then it was on sell for $999. Here we are at the end of 2021 and i've NEVER had any issues with the tv. I bet this was before they started using much cheaper parts in the newer TV's. I know plenty of people who have had to replacement multiple TV's and i still have my same one. The picture quality is AMAZING especially considered its age.

      @@justin3441 TV's are cheap enough, if it's the LED's I would just get a new TV. If it is my LED's that's what I plan to do. Changing out the LED's are not worth the time or effort in my opinion.

    • @justin3441
      @justin3441 3 роки тому

      I mean if you're willing to test the LEDs then you need to take screen off anyway, so you're half way done. Just need to plug in and put back together. Most replacements LEDs are 30-60$ vs atleast 300-400$ for a new one, that might have same problem in few years. I'm definitely fixing mine, I'm to cheap I've fixed a few. just need part number lol if you were in st Louis I'd come and get yours if you were trying to get rid of it
