A lot of people are upset because Zach set up boundaries with a toxic parent. There’s nothing wrong with having boundaries especially since he is now an adult.

I actually feel Amy should of worked out the deal with Zach as the house was already set up for little people. Zach and his family should of gotten it. But she choose to sell it back to Matt. I think th house situation shouldn't of included all the stuff that was the extra stuff. That should of automatically went to all the kids. He is being damn selfish with that many acres. Such a shame
Yes. He did the same with Jeremy & Audrey a couple of years ago then he tried to have them buy it together and all live in the same house. When the twins nixed that idea Jeremy asked for a specific area to build a family home while Zach's family lives in the house because it's already set for little people. Matt also nixed this too, Jeremy said he and Zach will work together as they always did but Matt didn't go for it. After the run around from Matt for a couple of years Jeremy just said eff it, then MATT did the same to Zach.
@@valeriedouthitt Yeah, but Matt owns the house and she said she has numerous regrets because Matt said he was going to sell to kids so she only asked for a small portion of the value of the farm. According to her, the plan was to gift part of the farm to them so they could afford it with the caveat the other kids could build their own home there at some point. She's pissed at Matt for how he's treating his kids, she said if he followed through with what was planned then Jacob would also have a home on the land.

The other two was done with the farm , so when the other 2 that were interested , things didn’t go right for them . If you watched the show Matt didn’t treat Amy with her part of the farm , that’s why it took so long for her to sale her share . Was very painful for her . Matt was cold putting pressure on her , with Caryn by his side both making snide remarks , both laughing at what was said . About Amy taking her time . All the while pushing her . He has always been controlling , wanting things his way . Zack saw it first hand all of his life . He wasn’t going to let his Dad control him any longer with Caryn adding her comments ( from what was said on the show . They are better off from the farm as Matt would still try & tell Zack what to do or not to do . Living so close & seeing how Zack ran things the way he wanted . Zack was able to buy different homes so obviously he did work days of his life . So when you say he was lazy , that’s not true .

Exactly. Maybe Amy should have included the same clause in her divorce like Karen husband did. Matt is NOT allowed to have any discussion or decisions regarding her children, like Amy has said if I knew then what I know now I would've changed a lot of things.

I guess you all forgot about how Amy treated Matt through all those years. She undermined his authorities with the kids, he couldn’t discipline them Amy would get mad and belittle him in front of his kids all the time! Quite frankly I believe Matt has it right when he says his kids feel entitled. Matt had a right to put the big house up and reject his kids offer. He was looking for some help on his farm, he is not a spring rooster anymore and is a bit disabled he needs help! Might as well sell it to strangers he can get more for the property than he would get from the kids. This season was a pain to watch, all Zach & Tori did was complain, and keep the kids from their grandparents. As far as Caryn, she’s good for Matt at least she likes to spend time with him even bought a stroller for him so she could take him along on hikes. We don’t know what really happened in those meetings with his kids, so why make statements she’s trying to ruin the family. All I see is love for Matt’s family, she truly cares for them! Amy keeps putting coals on the fire fueling Zach & Tories about losing the house. I dread to see next season, I wonder, when it’s going to get out that Chris is Gay, lol! Remember it’s a reality show but it’s also scripted to get viewers going

At this point I'm like wtf? Does Matt understand that he's the reason why NO ONE feels comfortable on the farm. He is the sole reason for this whole dynamic. He cheated on his family and created a new one. Now that Zach wants to be his own man you're upset with that? "Take a break, they walked away" KARENNNN, how bout you take a damn break and walk away yourself. You don't extend an olive branch to someone who isn't asking for that. All Matt's kids just want to be accepted by their dad. Yet, after all he's done, he still can't find it in him to let his children live.

It seems to me that Karen doesn’t understand that that is Zach’s Dad, they they may not have been on the best terms at this time, but he will always be his dad. Not to mention she is clearly the one that has fueled a lot of these issues in the first place.
Let’s not forget tho that when Amy first announced her engagement they weren’t on board with that at all and then Matt and Caryn were good for all the get together and babysitting !

I wholeheartedly agree that Karen helped to destroy their family! I knew Matt was cheating on Amy years ago when they took those family trips, and he always made an excuse to leave early. To cover his tail, he made it a point to blame Amy for choosing trips that were too difficult for him to enjoy. Duh, every trip will have its challenges due to his condition. When it was revealed on the show that he was dating Karen and that she worked for them for years, I realized she was the one he was cheating with during that time. I feel Matt is so lonely with all the family not being on the farm. I would love to see Matt get his ducks in a road. Zach tried to buy the farm. Even though they are hurt, they grandchildren don't understand the tension they are feeling. I had to put on a happy face and act like nothing was wrong for my children. It's hard but needed. The little ones become adults and eventually learn situations like this. Zach and Tory are excellent parents.

Jeremy and Zach both wanted to buy the farm. Their father turned both of their offers down. Karen had too much say-so in the sale. Both brothers moved on to buy their own homes with land to farm and build projects.

We are doing a fall trip from California to the Oregon coast and planned on going to the Roloff farm on our way to Cannon Beach.I’ve admired Zack and Tori for a long time but with them no longer being involved with farm I really don’t care to visit.We will pass on this adventure. Wishing Zack and his family nothing but happiness and a Fabulous life in Washington.
Zach should speak out that he isn't happy with the sale of the farm. His wife sounds like she hates his father. Puts Zach in a very bad place.

Tori is the one who will be busy caring for the health ailments of her 3 dwarf children with Achondroplasia. Jackson’s upper and lower legs, ankles ad foot bones are completely out of alignment and disfigured right now. And as Zack ages he’ll likely require care. He didn’t have the stamina to pack up his house for moving. Tori complains about doing all the heavy lifting because Zack can’t do it. That guy can’t run a farm. Sorry, It appears he can barely run his house.

I think there’s more we just don’t know. As a farm family, my husband and I have gone round and round with our estate planner trying to be equally fair to our 3 kids concerning our farm. We have no intention to ‘sell’ to them….but if 1 has stayed and worked hard while 2 more go on different career paths, do you leave them more? Above all, we want no fighting or resentment. Maybe it’s how producers present the show, but none seem to work all day every day

Matt was always a toxic parent in my opinion. He is selfish, self absorbed, proud, egotistical, for a little person. He cares little or nothing for his family, it’s either his way or the highway!
Distancing yourself from your toxic parent is beyond hard, but worth it.

Just watched a rerun of season 10 episode 19 when the twins turned 20. Interesting to see Matt and Amy’s frustration with attitudes and talking of selling the farm even back then. Sad to know now why Jacob was moody and withdrawn. I always enjoyed this show and still do. It was the first reality show I watched regarding little people and respected the format and education. A little peek into their lives. Thanks for sharing, Matt and Amy!

Looks like Tori & Zach had done very little before movers got there! Zach was taking clothes out of drawers last minute and then Tori comes in complaining! Let someone take the kids and dog and get busy!!! I would never let movers pack all the little stuff. Ridiculous!

Family counseling is beneficial in these situations and dynamics. There are strong personalities, frustration, hurt, and appropriate boundaries. Matt, recognize your part in this, accept it before its too late. It's important to give appropriately to your children, even now when adults, and while you can still have a healthy and happy relationship with them, and your grandchildren. You have a strong will, exercise it for the good of your family.
