When I seen the smirk on caryns face while Matt was talking about Zach I figured she was happy they were fighting and she gets what she has set out to do and that is to push everyone around him away.

Control and greed has pushed Zac away. It's sad that Matt would rather sell the property then having his family there.
Spoiled Zach isn’t getting the free ride and the sourness of that reality had him running away . This might be best thing for spoiled kids is to move and GET A JOB ! Not a reality show of you doing NOTHING ! Meanwhile Matt and Caryn are both still working and their other 3 kids are all working !

Cha Cha Cha! What a thing! She's his caretaker and not his lover and she has undue influence over him...I was hard on Amy for quite sometime even though I was in a relationship with someone that could never coast and enjoy the success of reaching a goal bc they were already on to the next sight/site!. The level of high anxiety and throwing caution to the wind is hard to live with...it's not necessarily a bad thing and it's not necessarily a good thing...Cha is coming in at an angle that is not necessarily hers but it may be The Coward of The County put her up to...he needs backup bc he can't stand up! Matt should have offered the kids acreage when each child got married or reached a certain age and Amy should have retained at least 10 acres. Now he's building Cha Cha's palace! This is all a business transaction btwn the 2 of them...I suspect Matt must be quite jealous Of the passion Amy and Chris have and he probably wishes he isn't being isolated from them, his kids and the Grands by Misses Cha Cha! It's hard to watch knowing he isn't even getting a lil something something! HaH! Everytime they talk about the future or getting married they don't even believe what they are saying!!!! Matt's gonna be a lonely old fella if he doesn't fix it with his kids....maybe they will soon and this is all a plot line in the show...hmmm But there's still ChaChaChaHaHaH!!!!
Matt is so controlling and money hungry, even with his own son. That is very sad. Zach's Mom is wonderful and supportive of her son. I do hope everything works out.
With a property with so much history I don't why Matt doesn't want to compromise

Lol I'd let my kids stay wherever on my property for free as long as they take care of their own shit like food and maintenance. The father is greedy and wants money and control.
Sure if you have 1 kid , you do know there is 3 others ? That makes Zach greedy for expecting that favouritism over his siblings . We have 5 kids and our youngest , 23, owns 4 houses and buying 2 more . All kids were given the same amount of assistance and start in life . 3 ran with it and 1 works very little just like Zach and he also expects more but doesn’t want to work . Sound familiar ?

If I'm old and retired and am financially set why do I need more?
@@xronann Not sure where you got that . The kids didn’t own any property and if that’s true then giving them property for Nothing ,then buying means he gave them money and AMY gave them NOTHING ! You get that right ! We can give our kids all a free ride if you feel that helps them…which it never does ! I have 3 sons and 1 daughter . 3 worked after University and 1 has never held a job very long . 2 sons took over one of the family business and would have not liked the lazy one getting it at all . The 2 know have about 45 employees and many subcontractors. And one still does nothing . We gave him a house and had to pay his taxes twice ! Then we stopped and our Daughter bought his house and now has 3 houses . The lazy , has nothing and still looking for handouts ! Your view has very limited knowledge.

Not even close to true . We just had one . We have 5 kids and 3 of them bought the family construction company of 35 years and paid out the other 2 who didn’t want it . Only one of the kids never worked ,and always wanted just money . I see him and Zach as very similar . He hasn’t worked in many ears and the others always have . Our youngest in early 20’s owns 4 houses and looking at 2 more . He is a third owner with his 2 other siblings .
Caryn got rid of the family, now she will look for a chance to take Matt to the cleaners, and he derseves that. I think she plays the game better then he realises.

I feel so bad because Zach is going to miss his family home so badly but I think they'll thrive with less drama
The only thing I am agree with Zach is that Karin has nothing to do in there, and she should just back off and shut up in this.

Matt has to remember he did not physically do the work on the farm, he hired people to do it.
So sad that it has come to this, it's the grandchildren that miss out here. Unfortunately, Matt is a controlling man and wants all his own way all of the time. Caryn has pushed him further down that rabbit hole and all the kids have left because of his selfish ways, shame on him. Im glad Zach is a strong man and will be able to give his children the freedom that they deserve. Im also happy for Amy and her life now.

A father that’s responsible and knows how much it’s costs to maintain a farm that size. You just get given property because you’re the persons child. He’s a grown adult and if he can’t afford it, then he doesn’t get it. It’s as simple as that

Family and money....
I don't know how much Zach was offering but just from what Zach said here he knew it wasn't enough. Going into this Zach and Tori were of the mind set that as Matt is their children's grandpa he will let them have the property no matter how much they offered and there would be no negotiation. Where as, as a business man Matt would know how much it takes to run the farm and after all the negotiations him and Ami had to go through to sort the property would also know the value and maybe even be concerned that Zach and Tori wouldn't be able to afford the upkeep of the farm and could end up losing it.
I also think when it comes to something like selling a large chunk of property like this it would of been better to get a neutral third party involved to negotiate instead of as a family get together where they each had ideas of how they wanted it to work and neither seemed to negotiate or make concessions, which is what happens in contract negotiations.
It was never going to be simple it was hard when Matt and Ami had to split the property and still keep everything going took quite a while to sort everything out. I think Zach was hoping they would have one discussion his dad would give him everything he wanted and that would be that.
Listening to Zach, you realuze that he is a very level headed grown man.
Caryn cheated and lied to Amy .. she had her plans for many years for her kids to end up with everything Amy worked for . 30 years she also built up that property .. Yep Caryns won the lot .. 🤬

I think it's quite extreme for them to just pack up and move away because the deal didn't work out. Almost feels like a revenge. Now with the family over an hour away, they can't be involved in the grandkids' lives as much anymore. So this influences everyone, including the kids. Hopefully it wasn't a drastic decision, made in a heat of the moment...
It was the smartest healthiest thing to do. Matt is selfish and toxic and caryn is a GROSSSS person. The other siblings are had enough so Zachary just did what was always going to happen. Matt has been controlling Zachary all these years with the farm and then he demands these disgusting housing market prices from his SON. nope. Bye bye. People this is a story line for a show that has run out of ideas. So they have taken the toxic route made Matt look like the bad guy taken to product placement (Sonic) and basically taken a nice show to just another reality train wreck. Say what you want about any of them but using the grandkids against Matt is as low class as you can get.

I've never liked the Father. Watching the show years ago, you could see he was greedy, selfish, and obnoxious. Zach and Tori have a beautiful house, and they're doing great with their family. Matt Roloff is going to die a lonely, old man. His pooch next to him is just a money hungry so and so. Amy looks much happier with Chris. Matt is going to miss seeing his son and his grandkids. But, honestly, no surprises with the way Matt acts and the decisions he makes. It's sad, it really is.
Zach and Tori are getting exactly what they deserve from Matt and gold digger Karen. He was not showing support to his mother at all. They were not feeling Ami’s life being turned upside down. But he wanted to rush her so he could buy the house and things just back fired on him. Tori was like Ami should move on they were totally on Matt and Karen side and going against his mother. Boy boy look how things turned out. He’s a little jerk like his dad . Ami is such a sweet person.

Ya cannot fight ur parents for what they worked hard to get the assets that they have. Zach seems to be bullying his dad to do what he (Zach) wants - hopefully this is just reading from a script. If Zach cannot afford to buy the farm at Matt's price - then move on. Zach seems to think he could work/run the farm like his father - he should have been working with his dad for years so that he learns about the operation of the farm. Farm needs employees - can Zach manage a farm?! He was a soccer coach and Tori a teacher - give up that soccer job and go work for a salary with dad instead of fighting him on sm for what is his - Amy had nothing to do with the farm - but Caryn does so she is an asset to Matt and family wants Matt to dump her...really?!
I’m surprised so many people are saying. Zach is not entitled to the farm, none of the children are. It’s his fathers and if his dad says that what they were offering wasn’t enough and Zach didn’t have his big boy pants on and fairly negotiate.. then that’s not Matt’s problem. Instead he tucked a tantrum about a property that wasn’t even his to start with.
I think Matt is absolutely right. He has built up the farm, and despite his health problems, he has been a warrior. Sorry, but Zach has always been lazy, and maybe everything is just falling apart?

You can't control someone if loving, caring people are around so now he's isolated. He could have worked out a payment plan with his kids.if he wanted...he trained Zach and Jeremy to work on the farm and how to maintain it plus I'm sure there are many people working that the lens doesn't capture that keep the place , equipment, business running. Matt has many businesses outside the farm, assets, stocks, products, real estate and so on. It's just strange that this land and life he cultivated and loved that he would want it to not be in the hands of the other Roloffs that loved as he does....anyways he has 70 plus acres left...It's all suspect to me.
