We were pretty sure we wanted this for our home (recommended by other RVer YTers) but then I see your review and it was the final straw. Getting it!
Looks like a good option to try out on our next RV. We love our upgraded mattress from Mattress Insider, it is really comfortable. Our mattress was $810 with a 5% discount, but we have a Murphy Bed layout and had to have our bed hinged at 50% length so we could convert from bed to couch, etc. We love our mattress, however, my wife would like it a little firmer. I think it is just great, I don't like the 50% hinge but it is an artifact of the floorplan layout. You can feel the hinge with your hip if you slide down in bed a little. The original mattress that came with our Lance was a coil spring mattress at 6 inches and our new mattress is 14 inches which means we have to be Charles Atlas to lift and lower the hinge part. The gell mattress is so much cooler than the original coil spring mattress. I am glad there are several great RV mattress sources out there and I will try RV Mattress out after we get our new motorhome ordered.

This is related to both channels in general, not to this specific video. I love watching the channels, and I also love that you guys keep it real. Thank you for being honest about price points, trade-offs, and all!
That said, something I've noticed a lot in your videos is a preference toward TV watching as an "indoor" activity. No doubt many feel the same. However, I think you are missing a couple things.
First, many people use tablets or other mobile devices for media consumption (TV, movies, streaming, etc.), and often watch different things. This lessens the priority for a TV and/or a decent place to watch something together. Meaning, any additional seating beyond the table can be more flexible.
Second, many people like to play games (board games, card games, etc.), or to gather around a table in general. Such folks would probably prefer greater priority on a decent table and table seating, than on other seating.
Taking both of these two points into account, having a couch directly across from the table would make for both a better dining experience when there are more than 4 people, and also for better a gaming experience because more people around the play area.
Anyway, moving forward I hope your critique of table and seating options is less TV-centric and takes some of these other things into account.
Another, sort-of related thing that I also wanted touch on, is the U-shaped dinette. I completely fail to understand why additional seating space that can't really be used because of a lack of leg room is a good trade off to table space. And you can't eat all crowded around a table like that. I think it's just completely useless. Give me a longer traditional table with bench-style seating please - that will be much more useful.
Last, I think you are being too generous on some of these kitchens. The only counter space cannot be the sink with a cover on it. Also, the sink should not be right next to the cooktop. Please start knocking manufacturers for both inadequate counter space, and not having at least 12" of counter space between the sink and cooktop.

I went to the foam store and bought a big thick piece for my bed. I love it and it’s very cheap.
Best advice I ever heard was order the same brand and series mattress you sleep on at home for your RV. several years and 3 RVs later i still order the same mattress for home and RV No adjusting to a diffrent bed everytime I go camping.

Hey Matt & Andrea! As usual, a fan-freakin'-tastic video! We're going to buy our dream Jayco 27U but the RV King Bed has to be folded (70x80) for slide to be closed. It's not a deal breaker for us but the mattress is very important. We will use your link but we need one of these fab mattresses to fold. Does Brooklinen offer this or do you know who does? Or, do you have any tips other than buying a 29MV 😃?

We have a Brooklyn signature hybrid for home a full size king and you’re absolutely right it is probably one of the best mattresses I’ve ever had definitely well worth the money

Well I guess as soon as I settle down and decide which RV for Matt to get me my deal I will need to get one. Maybe even two for the non paying customers ie grandkids
Unfortunately RVMattress does not make custom shaped RV mattresses. I have a corner cut bed and when I reached out to them they were not helpful. When I asked, they didn’t even know any other manufacturers who make custom mattresses. I’ve since done my own search and found a couple.

I had a 21QB that had a corner cut? bed.. I just got a regular queen and it fit just fine.
@@geocacherny7030 i have a 20CB and I measured my mattress. unfortunately the corner would get in the way of the bathroom door. These smaller units are so tight.
@@barbaram4487 hmm.. I'm thinking mine was custom made slightly shorter so it didn't hang over as much on the curved side.
"I might have said that wrong but pretty sure I got the pronunciation right"...lol...we just bought our 1st RV 1 week ago and got the Aurora too. Being 6'3 and 250, we got the firm and it has been good so far. May soften a tad over time. But loving it so far. Manufacturers could save themselves and us some $ by not even putting those crappy 4" things into all.

@@Phuong_Nguyen_ We didn't experience it being mega-firm, then softening over time. I'm sooo glad we got the firm though and not the regular.
@@dougvr I seen another review where a guy only weighed 173 pounds and the medium sank way too much. I really hope that’s not quality control issue.
@@Phuong_Nguyen_ its such a subjective thing so hard to even define terms as "soft, firm", etc. I juay know for us the firm already seems a tad soft for me, so I was glad we went with the firm. You can always swap it for a different firmness according to their policies. We love the quality so far!
Our Emblem came with a great mattress, as did our Phaeton. But for that much money, you expect a good mattress.
Can the mattress be exchange out in RV bed lift?

I would LOVE to buy a Brooklyn Mattress but sadly, our Thor Chateau 27R has to have a mattress that folds up before bringing in the slide. Does anyone know if the Brooklyn Mattresses can be bent/folded during travel or would/could that damage the structure of the mattress in the long run?
