Yeah I feel like doing a big water change once it’s been full could cause the silicone to release and the windows to fall out. I would strongly encourage building a permanent frame around the glass
@alexpellman8637 I am curious how you will build the permanent frame around the glass without breaking the seal of the aquarium (pond wield or fiber glass) ?
Cleveland, great build brother I'm hoping you don't regret putting a support for the glass, most put 2x3 on top of 2x4 then it has a lip to sit on just make sure you give plenty of time for the silicone to dry everything else you have definitely made it bullet proof if it leaks this will be the place, fingers crossed, btw are u from VA
Epic mate! It’s not a pile of wood and glass anymore. You should be proud of yourself. I’ve got nothing but faith that the water test will be fine. 👍🏻🏴
This ain’t no UA-cam start camera off camera on snap finger done. This real official progress great work and truly appreciate you taking us on the journey Cleveland props to The Fish Corner .
@ you already know to be honest I look up to the fact of how you handle things good or bad when it comes to situations. I’ve been watching since that big tank leaked in the apartment and how you took care of that and many other things props up you are a true teacher of many things on here whether you notice or not . Intelligent information and craftsmanship from building stuff all that good stuff man by the way happy Sunday may god welcome you many blessings G .
All is well, I hope the same for you. I’ve been working on finalizing the build. I want it ready for water in the next video. Thank you for checking in, you stay blessed as well.
I would seal the exposed wood that’s outside the tank before u button it up . Even tho water stays inside u will constantly have water getting onto it and in time can cause an issue. Either hit it with a coat or 2 of redguard or ur pond shield. Great work . 👍
Dude my hat really goes off to bro to accomplish a massive plywood tank by yourself isa huge achievement not only do you love huge fish tanks but it is entirely different when you build from your own two hands I’m proud of you plus the fish room you built it really is awesome and you should be very proud bro also I hope you and your family have a beautiful thanksgiving
Thank you Bro! I really appreciate your support and feedback! I’m definitely proud of what I’ve accomplished! Learning hands on is exciting and scary but once the lesson is learned, it can be a lifelong valuable instrument! Grateful to share it with you all! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours bro!
Will the silicone alone be enough to support the weight of the glass being that the glass will be "floating" as opposed to being supported at the bottom? Hope that question makes sense.
Been following this build since the first one. Love the commitment, definitely anxious to see the finished product. Will you show us how you set up the filtration as well?
Oh man I wish you the best but this is just my opinion I think you should have built in a lip to fit the glass in to hold it into place. I'm scared that over time that glass will slide down and cause a major disaster for you. Gravity is a mother and that glass is heavy. I'm one to just error on the side of caution. You want a bullet proof aquarium. But I truly hope I'm wrong and that it doesn't give you issues down the road. So I pray that it hold well.
I think I’m going to blame my self on that @fish corner cuz I notice that in a few videos when u was putting on the fiberglass that u got no where to put the glass on but I didn’t want you to think that I was smart r anything but I should’ve said something and make sure u sand where the glass is going to be so the silicone have somewhere to hold on to

@TheFishCorner tempering glass doesn't increase the strength that much. It's more for safety. You also have to factor in being rammed by large fish. Good luck, Bruh.
Yayyy! Great work Cleveland! It looks amazing! I am so proud of your determination, dedication, and hard work! You can tell that you planned and prepared a lot to construct this masterpiece! 🙌🏽🐠🫶🏽
Looking good might want more support up top maybe 6 total support braces.
Thank you. And yep. I agree. That was the plan.
I hope those windows stay up on the long run since there is nothing that’s gonna hold the windows in place but silicone.

@@KathouQC I would’ve installed a 2x4 for the glass to sit on before doing the fiberglass and pond shield

Can’t even say how much I’m enjoying this journey with you. Go Cleveland !
Thank you. I appreciate it.

I planned on it. And thank you! 🫡
WOW my brother been following the built and man you have the the skills to take on this project, amazing!
Thank you Bro! 🫡
I can see the final trim being a nice carbon fiber 3mm sheet in a really nice dark tone color!!!!!!!!!
That does sound good. 🤔
Looks sooo good Cleveland. You did a great job on your fust plywood tank. Leak test going to be an adrenaline rush.
Thanks Tim! That’s a fact! I’m definitely going to fill it in sections. That way if there’s a leak, I’ll catch it right away.
Beast mode 💪💪 looking 🔥🔥
Thank you.

Great job hope everything is good but u do a great job on all your tanks thanks for the content
Thank you. 👊🏾
Very impressive.
Thank you.
The 1300 gallon is looking good Bro. Very impressive! Now I'm thinking of building a large plywood tank myself.
Thank you! You definitely should!
Been looking forward to adding the glass. Awesome
Thank you. I couldn’t wait to reach this part of the build.
when you’re water proofing your top bracings, will you also water proof something to put under your glass? will it be held up solely by silicone?
Will the silicone alone be enough to support the weight of the glass being that the glass will be "floating" as opposed to being supported at the bottom? Hope that question makes sense.
@jaysmith5736 true I saw that
Almost ready getting it done nice😂😂😂❤❤
Thanks Daniel! Almost there!
Man fam it's looking great you did one HELL of a job be safe and enjoy your weekend
Thank you bro! You have a great weekend too!
You should paint the outside of the wood like silver color
🤔
that looks amazing thanks for the how to videos
Thank you for your support!
Lookin sweet bro! Itchin to see the final product👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you Clay! 👊🏾
this beast looks amazing ! 🔥🔥 congrats on this achievement getting closer to the final product 💪🏾 inspiring bro
Thank you Bro! Definitely getting close!
Been following this build since the first one. Love the commitment, definitely anxious to see the finished product. Will you show us how you set up the filtration as well?
Thank you! And yea, I’m using the trash can sumps.
Looks good! I can't wait until the end of the build
Thank you! 👊🏾
Nice bro can’t wait to see the first fish going in
Thank you, I agree! 👊🏾
LOOKING GREAT
Thank you.
Great Job Clee........
Thank you.
Wowwwwww well done bro 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!
nice work
Thank you!
Just my thoughts you should have had a lip for the glass to sit in for support best of luck good stuff brotha
I chose not to put one. I’ve seen it done successfully both ways. If it’s going to fail bruh, that lip will not prevent it.
Coming Along good brother love it
Thanks Bro, I appreciate it! 🫡
1300 gallons of waters going to be fun to keep clean! I struggle with my 800g saltwater tank with water changes imagine me going bigger 😂 much lov
lol. Think 1300g gonna be a lot.. the 3000g is going to be crazy then. lol
@ haha I feel it but saltwater just different!
@ That’s true. 😅
Looks good!
Thanks Bro!
Man this is amazing
Thank you!
Nice video!! Where did you get the glass from? Was it local or did you have to order online?
Thank you! I bought it locally.
💪🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 🔥
Thank you Bro! 👊🏾
major progress! will you be scuba diving in there to clean it? lol
Hopefully not. lol.
What type of filtration are you using?
The trash can sumps.
Looking good. Im just disappointed it's gonna be saltwater😢😅
lol. It’ll be freshwater for a while. The big fish from the 800 will be going in there while I build the 3000g.

same thing I was thinking, hopefully he builds a lip
I think I’m going to blame my self on that @fish corner cuz I notice that in a few videos when u was putting on the fiberglass that u got no where to put the glass on but I didn’t want you to think that I was smart r anything but I should’ve said something and make sure u sand where the glass is going to be so the silicone have somewhere to hold on to

LETS GOOOOOO 💪🏽🫡
🦾🦾
Elephant in the room
🐘
whats the monthly bill?
Why? You ready to pay it?
I would pay you to do me one. And build an aviary
I appreciate that Rob! 🫡
Epic fail incoming. 1/2 inch glass is not thick enough for the depth of your tank.
1/2in plate glass no, 1/2 in tempered is 100% thick enough.
@TheFishCorner tempering glass doesn't increase the strength that much. It's more for safety. You also have to factor in being rammed by large fish. Good luck, Bruh.
