I was thinking the same thing. How wonderful it would be if the new owners could be in touch with the original owner and reassure that Timmy is doing well and loved again.

Maybe he wasn't as shy as much as he was missing his owner, wondering where they were and why he was not there with them. They mourn just like we do. He has such a sweet meow.
You are so correct, animals are not given the credit they deserve, I have a cat who needed a home he lived outside for 2 years, very shy and so appreciative of me bringing him to my house, he cries when I leave, my Grandson told me , please tell Orangie you will come back, he cries when you leave, I look at him and tell him I promise I will come back, he is okay then, if he is sleeping and discovers me gone he cries until I get home 🤗😺
You are correct. Took over my mothers two cats, when she passed away 5 years ago. One 11 and the other 9 years old now. can still tell that they miss their "mom" from time to time.

Every orange tabby I have met has been very nice and affectionate.
Oh and how I can attest to that, having had 5 over the years. All great fun, tiny bit bonkers, great talkers and purrers. Sooo affectionate. The very last of mine, Roger, is buried in the garden in his favourite sunny spot. Poor sad, confused Timmy is so lucky to have found his absolute perfect forever home, with the kindest, sweetest couple. Good onya. I took over care of my late father's senior kitty cat, Sam (17 at the time) when I lost my dad and was blessed to have had him for nearly three years until his passing. There'e nothing like the love from a senior kitty and the joy and privilege of being able to provide them a loving safe home. ❤

🥰 older Tom cats are just adorable big squishy marshmallows. I adopted an older street Tom cat. He was struggling in the rescue center. growling and swiping. I got him home. Within 24 hours he was a purring fluff ball asking for belly rubs and making air biscuits.

Timmy is perfect ... such a lovely boy! I have a soft spot for orange tabbies. I found an orange tabby that had been abandoned and she had just given birth to five beautiful kittens. I found homes for the kittens when they were ready to be adopted and the mom stayed with me for the rest of her life. I loved Marmie so much. ❤ 😺 ❤

I wish they would allow more animals into homes for older people. It’s therapeutic to pet an animal and give more meaning to people who are old. This cat is so loving and kind and I’m happy he found such a loving home and caring people. Don’t get me wrong about that. I’d wish there were more volunteers that would help older people in homes who have pets. It must be awful when they say you have to move to a home for older people and then they take away the animal that you love. It breaks my heart. 😢

Can you take him to visit his previous owner?? You can easily see the cat is grieving! 😢 I bet with a little digging to find out where the owner went, you could take the cat to see them, and then it would make sense to the cat that he wasn't abandoned and his first owner didn't die. It would also bring peace to the owner that the cat is now loved. ❤
