I too am afraid of compacta but its sooo adorable. I purchased a varigated one a few weeks ago, treated it with systemic and spray down with neem oil weekly. I also don't have it placed to close to my other plants. I plan on watching her like a hawk!!
Many thanks for this fun nursery tour. All their plants look so healthy and their prices are good! Yes, get the Hoya Compacta ! Like you I was concerned that it would be difficult to treat if it got pests. One of mine got a mild case of mealy bugs but two simple and quick treatments took care of the mealies . It has stayed mealy bug free for close to three years. You stay on top of your plant care and you are constantly assessing their condition so you will be able to help this Hoya thrive. Both the green and the variegated Compacta have been slow growers for me, however, I don’t mind. They are both lovely. Happy growing! 👌🪴🥰
I would get a variegated compacta and I would get one at a decent size since they grow so slowly. I use systemic in my hoyas and FINALLY got rid of mealies!
Yeah, I've heard that brand (joy something?) at Home depot is making up names to known species. I don't know why, but they're trying to put their own spin on things instead of listing the species.
Yeah, apparently that brand at Home Depot (leaf joy?) Is making their own names for known species. The plants are existing, known species, the " new names" are part of marketing likely
16.09 and 16.21 there was a really beautiful pink stemmed aglaonema. I think they were the same variety but different sizes. I love aglaonema they're so beautiful.
What would you get if you were with me?

Good idea to consistently test and monitor. Hope she grows well for you 😊
I wish we had this big a selection of Hoyas in Mississippi. Love it!
I think they’re definitely becoming more common and popular. It just might make its way to you.

From what I know the adrift is the Rosita
💡Ah! I thought they looked quite similar. 😊

@@Toadlily647 correct.
Nice Hoyas! I just wish our big box doors in the Midwest got such great selections!❤
I hope it improves. 🙂 thanks for watching 🪴
Beautiful plants.
I agree 😊
The one you called an elliptica is a fitchii
Yes I realized it’s not an elliptica. We’re also realizing that the growing might be putting new names on the plants. 😅
Wow, what a wonderful nursery of choices of Hoya!
I agree! They’ve got a great selection!
Please linger by the aglaonema a bit next 😊
Super helpful! Thank you for letting me know. 😉
I was wondering what that pink stemmed one was.
What was the time stamp?

@saramonder ah Yes. It was the Aglaonema Pink Siam. I’ll go slower over Aglaonema next time 😉
Variegated
😉thanks for your vote! 🪴
Proven Winners has renamed a bunch of Hoya varieties so they can patent them and make it illegal to propagate and sell….
😲What? I really hope not ☹️
