As an asian person I genuinely felt a real connection to boa. I'm not Chinese but I have had a complicated relationship with my mother and also had a strong relationship with her and food. It felt really genuine in the conflict of changing cultures between two generations.
Bao is about how even though your children hurt you and grow up, stopping them from living their lives is even more painful. That's what I got from it....
this is one of the few movies I've had time to watch and I'm so glad there's a review for it! Its so hysterical to relive... that short film again with your commentary
I must've grown up on some messed up stuff, because not only did Bao not bother me I enjoyed it. Also, all the kids in the audience at my showing loved it as well.
Maybe it’s just my love of The Incredibles blinding my judgement, but I LOVED The Incredibles 2. I was so excited I wanted to cry before, during, and after. The ambassadors were also supposed to be from other countries, coming together to endorse supers coming out of hiding. And Jack Jack is supposed to be a “Jack of all trades” with his powers, and Edna (I think) mentions that babies may have multiple powers, so that’s why he’s all over the place.
Ali Rose i unsubscribed them for this review. Hahahahahahaha... i thought they were deep movie critics but they're actually just shallow with smarter mouths. The 2nd incredibles was great. It had its fallbacks but so did the first one. Its imperfectly perfect for me.
For a movie which took 14 years ... you’d think the plot would be much deeper - like if it was gonna be this basic then why not have it set 14 years or even one or two years after I’ve heard there was two script - one about AI & one about Superhero’s being like celebrities
Oh, god. The son left with the fiancée and the mom was very lonely and resented about it so she fantasized about her son being with her again. So when he comes back and gives her food as a sorry and they cry is a “sorry, mum I dun fuckdup.” So he comes back for some reason and they make dumplings. THE END. It was lovely and I cried so let me be.
Please tell me you're doing another 200 celebration where you do a rank of the worst and the worst/best movies of the last 100 like you did for when you got to 100. In case you're wondering, I care and I'm here for it.
I just realized one of my major issues with this movie, aside from it not being about the Incredibles fighting crime together. It doesn't ever really get as real as the first one. Now before I say this, yes it's a cartoon fictional world and I know it's suppose to be silly. But what I love so much about the first one is that despite Syndrome being cooky and silly, his motivation behind his crime and threats felt very real. One of my favorite scenes in the first movie is when Elastigirl sits down with Dash and Violet saying "These people will kill you if they get the chance" and then seeing that yeah, these guards aren't fucking around they're trying to kill those kids. I never felt that way with this one. Even if there were peoples lives at stake it always felt canned. It never got as raw as, oh my god Syndrome isn't going to stop chasing Mr. Incredible until he thinks he's dead or jesus that guard is taunting a girl in her teens while looking for her in the water so that he can shoot her.
With reference to Bao it was a reflection of how integral (and special) food is in Asian culture, especially dumplings (think about the extensive time and effort they put into making them and how they vary within the various Asian cultures). I think this really came to a head when she cooked the large meal and he just left. The dad wasn’t present in the short because he was working (he is the breadwinner while she raises Bao)...honestly it made perfect sense to me once I saw Bao wasn’t a dumpling but rather her actual child
okay all i have to say is bao made me cry. i immediately understood what it was about, even not being asian/knowing a lot about asian culture. yes, it’s about asian culture with parents and them being protective and not wanting their kids to grow up, but it’s also universally about mothers and fathers watching their child grow away from them as they get older. the reason the child was a dumpling was because he was her fragile baby. she took care of him when he got beat up, along with the regular things like she spent time with him. she watched over him all his life and then seeing him not want to spend time with her anymore was heartbreaking- for most mothers, i’m assuming. even when he got older, she still saw him as a fragile dumpling. and of course, that wasn’t real life. she had woken up from a dream, or was daydreaming or maybe just thinking about how he grew up so fast. it was metaphorical and a very good analogy. and then of course the heartbreak of losing your child to not only somebody else, but also almost losing them to a new culture that they’ve grown up in, and eventually coming to terms and accepting that he’s grown up and being open minded about him exploring a new culture, as well as staying with his traditions.
serious question; Why was everyone surprised that jack jack had powers when in the first one the whole reason that the bad guy is killed is because of jack jacks powers? THE FAMILY WAS RIGHT UNDERNEATH HIM! also jack jack had a suit made for him in the first movie so the entire Edna mode part was only used so they can make a short about that night.
Jack jack and syndrome were hundreds of feet in the air, where aircrafts are allowed. I’m sure you can’t pick out all the details of an airplane let alone a tiny baby. Also, jack jack wasn’t at Edna’s for a suit. Mr incredible went to her because he needed a babysitter. It was only because Edna found out he had powers that she was inspired to create a better suit for him that could control his erratic behavior.
she only made enhancements for some of the powers we know of. like his flammability, goblin transformation, and dimensional travel. other powers like his lazer eyes, multiplication, and giant form havent been worked on yet. edna did the most she could with the small time she had with jack jack.
My problem with this movie...they spent 20 minutes on the goddamn Undertaker and in the end THEY NEVER EVEN CAUGHT HIM!! I'm like "what is this Tom Foolery, movie?!" *edit, I wrote Undertaker instead of Underminer 😂THAT'S how goddamn forgettable this pseudo villain was*
Same here about Bao, I thought the mother was a teenage boy. But I understand the Asian community really resonated with this so I was quiet and tried to get it, not everything’s gotta be about white people and what we can understand and I’m fine with that.
Avarly telling us about Bao is one of my favourite moments of all moviebitches also yep the sister did feel like she was in a Dreamworks character and as soon as she appeared I knew she was the baddie
Would this movie have been better if they had the twist of the brother being the villain, not the sister? Cause, like you said, she seemed pretty villainy from the start - weird outfits, constantly sounding bizarre and drunk - and the guy seemed to only have their best interests at heart, so would it have been more exciting if they made the nice guy the villain and the weird person not complicit?? Oh, wait, they basically already did that with Big Hero 6, nevermind, just go watch Big Hero 6...
If they were going to start right after The Incredibles 1, I think the boy that Violet liked should have learned about the family's secret identities, but he's brought into the family, sort of like Marilyn Munster, as the non-Incredible tag-along who is somehow involved in all of their adventures? Instead, this was just....Incredibles? All of the voice actors were so noticeably older than they were portrayed. You could practically hear everyone's dentures slipping.
eh, the tech makes sense if you compare it to superhero movies in a contemporary setting. like, if we can get Iron Man’s entire suit of armour folding out of a little button on his hand, heroes in 1962 can have tiny cameras and a cool motorbike.
I had wildly different thoughts than ya’ll this time lmao... I loved Bao! It made me cry, it was funny, and I never want to watch it again And Incredibles 2, I found it to be a really fun ride all the way through! I thought the sister being the villain was semi surprising, because I really expected it to be the brother? Not sure why, but in the reveal scene, I just wanted to shout “GET OUT OF THE HOUSE” at Elastagirl, because the sister was giving bad vibes at that point
Okay yes that moment in Bao was shocking, but overall I thought it was a really touching story about a Mom struggling to cope with her son leaving the nest and leaving behind his traditions. That moment when the son sat with his mom on the bed made me cry. Really one of the more moving Pixar shorts I’ve seen tbh
I've heard Bao's symbolism resonates a lot better with asian people; To my understanding it touches on the importance of food in asian culture but mostly Empty Nest Syndrome, with the scene of her son leaving home and she becoming so desperate and so scared of being alone she represses him.
I liked this movie but I hated that I waited 14 years for it. It didn’t seem worth the long wait but it was great to watch. I did have several questions at the end
I have a mild form of epilepsy and I had friends warn me about scenes all while trying to avoid major spoilers. Like, they’d tell me, “when Elastigirl enters the old apartment, there’s a bunch of flashing lights in the fight scene”, or something like that so I knew what to look out for but I didn’t know specifically what was up with the plot, so I just closed my eyes during those parts. And that kinda sucked bc I really wanted to watch those action scenes, but the flashing lights were way more frequent than I thought they’d be. But it wasn’t too bad for me in the end, as I’d much rather be safe than sorry. Plus I went with my sister so she just told me straight up when the flashing lights started/ended. I missed like a collective maybe 5-10 minutes of the film’s action scenes, but I still had an enjoyable time I guess? I do agree about the plot holes and weird stuff that didn’t make sense story wise, but I loved the animation and fun character moments, though in the end I do prefer the first one. I think a third film could potentially work if they make a really fantastic script, and I was really digging your idea of Violet going to college, Jack Jack learning to talk and starting daycare or something, or some potential twist villain who works with both superheroes and supervillains (though tbh I really am disliking Disney & Pixar’s latest twist villains. I just don’t feel the impact anymore. What happened to the days of Ursula, Scar, Syndrome, like actual villains?? hellooooo???)
Also sorry if this ramble made absolutely no coherent sense lmao. It’s 2am & I have mono, so the brain fog/fatigue combo is a _bitch_ to deal with at the moment, among other things. *yAy me*
I was so excited for this review! Overall I enjoyed the video and loved you guys kiking about the movie. I only disagree about some major points you hit on. For one, I guess you didn't have this impression when watching the first Incredibles, but the Underminer was like a huge cliffhanger for a lot of people. I never saw it as like "oh and then they live their life fighting crime". I always saw it as like "oh shit is this the new villain for the next movie?". So I think there were a decent amount of people that were expecting it to pick up at that Underminer fight. For two, the reason Bob had this "1960's I have to provide for my family" mentality, was because the movie takes place in the 1960s haha. So this makes perfect sense that Bob would think this way. It would actually make less sense and be more of a preachy message if Bob was like "women can do anything men can do!". What's the point of using the 60's motif without utilizing some real social issues that existed in the 60s? Thirdly the point of the movie was this idea of does society need to rely on "superheroes" or should they rely on themselves. That was what that story of the parent's death was getting at. I feel like you were too concerned with the semantics around it haha. Finally the sister's motivation made perfect sense to me and didn't seem confusing at all. The brother took the route of idolizing superheroes after a traumatic event and the sister went the opposite route of demonizing them. She couldn't "do nothing" because her brother was trying to recreate their image. The brother being evil also seemed like an obvious red herring to me. I was happy the movie subverting people's expectations with the twist that the brother was ignorant to it the whole time. I think the brother being evil as well would have been more obvious and generic.
This is how the plot should have gone in my opinion: First of all her name should have been the screensaviour rather than slaver and her motive should have been to take over everyones minds so no crime can take place. As you said devtech adverts everywhere for their new tech of contact lenses that record everything (a quick mention to their product when they’re having that first conversation with mr incredible, frozone and elastigirl). Then rather than the stupid train and ambassador thing some of the new heroes such as banshee, brick and reflux are villains and elastigirl, frozone and bob have to go to separate ones to try to stop them. When elastigirl stops banshee she says something like “I never get why you guys do this” and banshees head 180 turns eyes all green and says “the screensaviour will have their way” In her head she’s the saviour stopping all crime ever again because the superheroes aren’t good enough. I feel like this movie was dumbed down an awful lot probably for children when really it should have been made for older teens who grew up watching the incredibles
I get what they were going for with Bao, but when she ate the dumpling and his clothes/glasses all I could think about is how that must have been really hard to swallow... not to mention that she's been walking around with it for days? Weeks? Months? Years? so it would be rotten and she definitely had to see a doctor after eating that.... Unless it was a dream, but they didn't set that up at all and even at the end it didn't seem like she woke up, it seemed as if she was awake the entire time
I love your videos! Thank you for the great content! I think it's sad that a majority of people who watched Bao were so distracted with the "weirdness" the plot that they missed the message. Even as someone who is not Asian, I thought the story was extremely interesting, relatable, and meaningful.
I think it's hilarious that you thought the mom in Bao was a teenage boy. When she came out, I instantly knew she was a middle-aged Chinese woman. Many of my mom's middle-aged friends have that short bob probably because of the influence of HK stars like Anita Mui, Sandra Ng, Susanna Kwan, and Lydia Shum. For me, it really resonated because as a first generation Chinese immigrant, you learn English and that becomes your main language where your parents stick to Chinese. And one of the best and only ways to connect is through food when you can't communicate through conventional language.
I took a school excursion to see this movie and was put in charge of the 6-year-olds....then end of Bao had them bawling and we had to leave the cinema until I got them calmed done. A few of them eve tried to talk to their food before lunch juuuuust to be safe
In Bao, the dumpling isn't actually really a thing! It's supposed to represent her son that she feels like she's losing. The dumpling wasn't ever really alive. Her kid just happens to look like a dumpling and was something that she made with love. People not understanding such a simple message drives me nuts.
Cody Scott I understood that at the end. But the women I for real thought was a teenage boy the whole time. I thought it was about a boy who didnt wanna lose his friend.
bao, personally for me, was really quite beautiful. as an asian american i completely understood all of it and i felt that in my soul :/ its definitely sort of strange and might be hard for everyone to understand, but its a really cool look on the empty nest syndrome that many asian american familys face and i got it right away
The mother of the writer of Bao used to tell her that she wished she could put her back in her stomach so she would always know where she was and could protect her at all times. Bao was a away to show how over bearing a mom might seem when really its out of love.
1] i actually liked how they dealt with bob needing to be the breadwinner and him growing through that, and i understand its outdated but the social pressure for males to be successful still exists, so i appriated the storyline of him coming to terms 2] it was obvious she was the villain her name was evelyn devour aka evil endeavor 3] i wish that the betrayl to her brother was even to a higher level, like i wanted him to be hynotized and be the physical screenslaver, but he have no idea, and like it was his sister the whole time, i just wished they put an effort in trying to make it seem like the brother and plot twist its his sister
Oh God this was such a misfire. In what world does a kids film need to last over two hours and feature so many long, boring conversations about marketing? Why was the villain so utterly dour and lacking in flamboyance? They literally didn't give her a single interesting quirk, she was just in a bad mood the whole movie - as was basically everyone? Toy Story 3 and Inside Out had adult-friendly themes, but they still balanced them out with loads of fun visual gags. Aside from the Jack Jack scenes, this was so talky, preachy and dour. I really can't imagine how kids would get much out of it. (Great review though).
The way you kept saying "Devcon" kept on reminding me of Monique Heart's slurred "Drag Con" during the snatch game. I kept waiting for her to crack up behind you!!!
well for the word bao, baozi is chinese for steamed dumpling but baobei or baobao is a term of endearment for children. i guess that metaphor doesnt translate so well if ur not familiar with chinese. also as a teacher in china i see how much parents do and sacrifice to provide the best life for their kids by moving or sending their kids abroad for their education, and how sometimes that creates emotional distances as their kids grow up in a place where the traditions and customs are different to their own. n i think that this applies to the realtionship between alot of immigrant parents and their first generation kids in america. and the people ive talked to about it here in china relate deeply to the message.
Watching this finally after getting a chance to watch the movie. I’m glad you guys reviewed the Pixar Short too. The viewing I went to had an Epilepsy warning in the beginning ⚠️
I watched the trailer for this movie and immediately thought that the CEO guy would end up being the villain and I’m almost disappointed he wasn’t?????
About Bao, I also found it very disturbing. Even after we found out it's all a dream, the fact that she ate her "son" is still messed up. That's some Greek mythology kind of shit for me. In the case of The Incredibles 2, I felt like it was the plot of the first one but with a "girl power" message. It had good moments but in the end, it fell flat and it could've been so much better. Still an enjoyable movie tho.
I don't know, I felt like Void was a pretty solid representation of a crazed fangirl meeting her idol? I liked her. Also, though a Frozone Honey movie is all I've ever asked for soooo
I liked Bao... I got it pretty early on that she considered her son her little dumpling and when she saw that he wasn't her little dumpling anymore she got upset about it. lol idk
We didn’t get that weird cast introduction opener before the movie in Australia! I’m both happy and sad that I missed it. Also BAO was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen 😂 still brought me to tears though. Love you guys ❤️
@21:58 - Ryan Murphy saw this and said "THAT is how I will make my very serious shows" Also yaas (either) Goofy Movie or Emperor's New Groove because I can't tell which that is but either way I'm here for a retro review.
You guys keep talking about being confused, so I'm not sure you got it. -It had to pick up where the old one left off because the central conceit is that superheroes are outlawed. If it was 15 years in the future, how would they explain that law getting repealed? -You think that the Screenslaver is going to be a marketing scheme by the brother and sister, but it's not. That's why it's clever. -Where and when? America, 1960-ish, but with futuristic technology. Retro style, future tech. Pretty obvious. -Gender politics. Yeah... it's supposed to be uncomfortable. The evolving role of men and women is an allegory of the evolving role of superheroes in society, and vice versa. Also kinda the point of this movie. -The dialogue wasn't perfect, but I could always keep up with it. I'm not sure why you guys couldn't. -I did have the same idea that there should've been super villains. I didn't like the sister alone as the evil person. That was my only big problem with the movie. -Cameras on the suits does come up. That's literally how elastagirl finds out the sister is the screenslaver. -And the point of the dad was that he relied too much on superheroes instead of thinking for himself. So that's why the sister wanted to keep them outlawed. So then in the end, they unconditionally make superheroes legal again, and it's supposed to make you think. In short, are you two high?
Griffin Jenkins yesssss i needed this. Im just really frustrated at this review right now cause i had high expectations from them but this review was purely disappointing. They are confused by things which they could just try to understand.
Honestly my only gripe with this film was that the Jack Jack fighting the raccoon screen lasted about 19 minutes too long. It exceeded my expectations though coming off the kind of awkward fight with The Underminer.
When I saw “Bao” it in theaters, everyone in the theaters was either sadden or confused when the lady ate the dumpling son. I remember bursting into laughter because I was not expecting it. Also I may have been under the influence which didn’t help my cause. Yeah, good times!
As an asian person I genuinely felt a real connection to boa. I'm not Chinese but I have had a complicated relationship with my mother and also had a strong relationship with her and food. It felt really genuine in the conflict of changing cultures between two generations.
Can we talk about how the underminer escapes and is never seen in the movie again.
Avaryl, I love how you always show receipts for your references.
The only thing i could think all throughout this review was "Being Elasto-Mom is hahd. You gotta make lunches, then the baby is on fire..."
Bao is about how even though your children hurt you and grow up, stopping them from living their lives is even more painful. That's what I got from it....
this is one of the few movies I've had time to watch and I'm so glad there's a review for it! Its so hysterical to relive... that short film again with your commentary
We love you Lee.. icon
Was Void such a lesbian character. She was really into Elastic girl and I’m here for it
Alexander Hernandez oh you KNOW shes a lesbian
Fiona Wait screenslaver was also a slave for that pussy
I must've grown up on some messed up stuff, because not only did Bao not bother me I enjoyed it. Also, all the kids in the audience at my showing loved it as well.
Can we talk about the fact that villain's name is literally Evelyn Deavor! "Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome to the stage Miss Evelyn Deavor!"
I'm 23 but Bao literally traumatized my inner 7-year-old 😂😂
avaryl's disgust with the sentient dumpling is hilarious lol
Bao is the best Pixar short in ages. I can't believe you didn't get it.
Griffin Jenkins they are white

Yes, two consecutive reviews of the incredibles. C'mon content!
I cried at the end of Bao lol. I wish the movie made me feel half of what I felt through that short.
I just realized one of my major issues with this movie, aside from it not being about the Incredibles fighting crime together.

OMG I love "The Brave Little Toaster". That movie taught me what the word 'organic' meant as a little kid.
okay all i have to say is bao made me cry. i immediately understood what it was about, even not being asian/knowing a lot about asian culture. yes, it’s about asian culture with parents and them being protective and not wanting their kids to grow up, but it’s also universally about mothers and fathers watching their child grow away from them as they get older. the reason the child was a dumpling was because he was her fragile baby. she took care of him when he got beat up, along with the regular things like she spent time with him. she watched over him all his life and then seeing him not want to spend time with her anymore was heartbreaking- for most mothers, i’m assuming. even when he got older, she still saw him as a fragile dumpling. and of course, that wasn’t real life. she had woken up from a dream, or was daydreaming or maybe just thinking about how he grew up so fast. it was metaphorical and a very good analogy. and then of course the heartbreak of losing your child to not only somebody else, but also almost losing them to a new culture that they’ve grown up in, and eventually coming to terms and accepting that he’s grown up and being open minded about him exploring a new culture, as well as staying with his traditions.

The queen of life and everything Edna Mode is my favourite character of any movie ever.

It is set in the 60s. But like James Bond tech 60s. Anyways. The best thing about this movie is Jack Jack's story line.
My favorite part of watching Bao was the dad in the front row with his wife and two kids who shouted "What the f*ck!" at the end of it.
DW McKinney creepiest.thing.ever.

Is it weird that I got the story of Bao right away..?
I liked the movie a lot when I saw it, but y'all made me rethink it and realize that it was kind of a mess :/
eh, the tech makes sense if you compare it to superhero movies in a contemporary setting. like, if we can get Iron Man’s entire suit of armour folding out of a little button on his hand, heroes in 1962 can have tiny cameras and a cool motorbike.
I loved the short before the movie!! It even got me to cry...
Also, it's the first pixar short directed by a woman and is based on her mother.
Old. Husband. Sperm. Problem.
Im hoping you guys do another celebration for episode 200! I love that episode.
I had wildly different thoughts than ya’ll this time lmao... I loved Bao! It made me cry, it was funny, and I never want to watch it again

*yAy me*
Bao is more symbolism and a bit of analogies.
The review was not done. Did not talk about how Fabulous Jack Jack is. and other things
Agreed!
Andrew's piracy warning sounded like drunk Carol Channing 😂
Please retro review the Goofy Movie!!!
This is how the plot should have gone in my opinion:
First of all her name should have been the screensaviour rather than slaver and her motive should have been to take over everyones minds so no crime can take place.
When elastigirl stops banshee she says something like “I never get why you guys do this” and banshees head 180 turns eyes all green and says “the screensaviour will have their way”
In her head she’s the saviour stopping all crime ever again because the superheroes aren’t good enough.
Unless it was a dream, but they didn't set that up at all and even at the end it didn't seem like she woke up, it seemed as if she was awake the entire time
Yes i knew i wasn’t the only one who thought the animation on the sister was so off
Did no one else get the sexual tension between Elasticgirl and Evelyn???
Dude...!
I love your videos! Thank you for the great content! I think it's sad that a majority of people who watched Bao were so distracted with the "weirdness" the plot that they missed the message. Even as someone who is not Asian, I thought the story was extremely interesting, relatable, and meaningful.
Avaryl saying "woke" needs to be my ringtone right away
Yes, like I wish it was just a sound bite at the end of every video.
I’m sorry you didn’t understand Bao. As a kid who grew up in such a situation, I got it right away
Jack Jack is the "Jack of all trades"
FankMatthew13 i was wondering if anyone pointed this out
I took a school excursion to see this movie and was put in charge of the 6-year-olds....then end of Bao had them bawling and we had to leave the cinema until I got them calmed done.
Cos theyre white
bao, personally for me, was really quite beautiful. as an asian american i completely understood all of it and i felt that in my soul :/ its definitely sort of strange and might be hard for everyone to understand, but its a really cool look on the empty nest syndrome that many asian american familys face and i got it right away
The mother of the writer of Bao used to tell her that she wished she could put her back in her stomach so she would always know where she was and could protect her at all times. Bao was a away to show how over bearing a mom might seem when really its out of love.
The raccoon scene was honestly one of the best I have ever seen in a animated movie😱😂🤣😵
“Why are you undermining your wife” ...and my mind went: “Behold! The Underminer!”
The Bao short is literally saying that her son will always be her little dumpling...... so emotionally confusing
"he's going to flashy thingy him" bahaha love you
This is the first time I watch in day one release of you guys, and I'm here for the ride
1] i actually liked how they dealt with bob needing to be the breadwinner and him growing through that, and i understand its outdated but the social pressure for males to be successful still exists, so i appriated the storyline of him coming to terms 2] it was obvious she was the villain her name was evelyn devour aka evil endeavor 3] i wish that the betrayl to her brother was even to a higher level, like i wanted him to be hynotized and be the physical screenslaver, but he have no idea, and like it was his sister the whole time, i just wished they put an effort in trying to make it seem like the brother and plot twist its his sister
was waiting the whole time for y'all to say something about how they changed the character design for the boy violet liked and you didn't!
I love that at 38:09 Andrew's plot fixes is just the plot of Captain America Civil War.
This is hilarious, the first thing I thought of when I saw the short was I can't wait to hear what movie bitches has to say about this insanity. lol.
Mr. Mom 100% retro review it! Michael Keaton is an absolute gem of a man in that movie.
That Pixar short confused and scared me! I audibly screamed when she ate the son
The short movie is very much an orientalist relatable allegory ~
The only thing about contacts controlling them instead of the super obvious goggles is how they would get taken off in the final act
Watching this finally after getting a chance to watch the movie. I’m glad you guys reviewed the Pixar Short too. The viewing I went to had an Epilepsy warning in the beginning ⚠️
In the first movie, the newspaper says it takes place in 1962.
Bao was equal parts heart-warming and terrifying. I can only imagine how a child would feel.
I don't know, I felt like Void was a pretty solid representation of a crazed fangirl meeting her idol? I liked her. Also, though a Frozone Honey movie is all I've ever asked for soooo
The bodycamera comes up again. They came up on the news and if it weren't for it, Elastigirl wouldn't figure out the villain's plan.
They didn’t put an epilepsy warning for The First Purge and it was upsetting. But they did do the contacts idea y’all mentioned!
seasons change, time passes by as the weeks become the months become the years
Ohhh I love this drink.
Apparently it’s set in 1970 since elastigirl went missing in 1955 and it’s been 15 years since that
I liked Bao... I got it pretty early on that she considered her son her little dumpling and when she saw that he wasn't her little dumpling anymore she got upset about it. lol idk
Peepin' that Berri Açaí. I love that drink.
We didn’t get that weird cast introduction opener before the movie in Australia! I’m both happy and sad that I missed it.
Also BAO was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen 😂 still brought me to tears though.
Love you guys ❤️
@21:58 - Ryan Murphy saw this and said "THAT is how I will make my very serious shows"
Also yaas (either) Goofy Movie or Emperor's New Groove because I can't tell which that is but either way I'm here for a retro review.
I love how Andrew got a refill halfway through the review xD
You should Retro Review (my favorite) 90s Disney movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Underappreciated gem.
We can’t have any kids movie with out political statements y’all know that
I watched something that said that Honey was gonna be a super
