I was a scene kid when I was a preteen, and I used to unironically like Blood On The Dancefloor. I still have normie taste but even for my standards BOTDF made unfathomably awful music. Their best song “bewitched” is a guilty pleasure at best, and everything else is unlistenable and creepy.
The melody to Bewitched is pretty generic standard scene stuff. But the music video completely changed the way I perceived the song. Its this whole other level of obnoxiousness and shitty cringe acting that even thinking about it now makes me annoyed. One of my good high school friends really loved them though so, one man's trash and what not.

You could dig up some pretty pathetic-sounding albums or singles from 25+ years ago, but it's so much easier to find shitty music from more recent years because we're actually there when it's being released, and the internet allows things to be very accessible.

I love how the first third of this video is just bad pop music, and the last third is just genuinely horrible people making music.
I was a scene kid when I was a preteen, and I used to unironically like Blood On The Dancefloor. I still have normie taste but even for my standards BOTDF made unfathomably awful music. Their best song “bewitched” is a guilty pleasure at best, and everything else is unlistenable and creepy.
The melody to Bewitched is pretty generic standard scene stuff. But the music video completely changed the way I perceived the song.
