Hell yeah Brother
I just got out of work and the masonry trade is prolly one of the hardest trade lol
How so is it hard?
I start my pre apprenticeship school year tomorrow, covid screwed us we should have started in may but now we have a 14 week program before we go out to work. Hope this works out for me, here in Ontario the pre apprentice year is free so that was a good incentive as well. Hope I like this, I worked outdoors doing landscaping/grounds keeping on a golf course for 7 years, mostly did the more labour-us work then sitting on a mower so I’m confident there.
In what school in Tario did ya go to? so far all I can find is Fanshaw, It's a little out of the way may lean towards plumbing. Tired of shit mall jobs and lame factory work that has no point to it.
best job in the world
Honest question. I start a apprenticeship next month. Would you say its also good in terms of compensation/pay? After my apprenticeship?
depends where you live. I know for here in canada theres not a lot of people doing Mason work (bricklaying etc). So theres a high demand for it, in which good pay.

No. I've done it 4 30 years and I regret starting. If you do. Get use to living cash. The first time you take a loan will be the last time. It rains for months at a time then turns to snow. I've lived on my car and begged for food while never missing a days work. But get sent home the slightest sprinkle of rain. You be sorry if you do.
Troy Miller where did you do mason work?
im a mason run my own rig make over 1000 a day great money man up and make it happen
How many bricks you lay in an hour?

@@JobTalks thank you, I'll take a look at this
What about cement masons
"no heavy lifting" until you get to build 70 lb. split-face block walls all day long, 5 to 6 days a week. . ha ha.
Yea this guy seems like he's talking more about bricks and smaller blocks when he says u don't have to be strong and not 12 inch block
Is this hard work I mean I'm a slow learning math and writing.?????
very hard work but you’ll enjoy the pain after awhile 😅
you get used to the work after a month or two, and all you really need to get down is the measuring
I’m a girl about to graduate high school is this for me
Do your research and decide for yourself. That's what I'm doing since I'm thinking about doing this too.
