I love how all the actors who play the Doctor are so similar to him. They really do cast special people for that role (re: the video with the little girl asking about the Weeping Angels).
Can everyone stop comparing Matt and David! Keep in mind that these are two different actors and they have different ways of potraying the Doctor. It wouldn't be called regeneration without a different face and a different personality behind it. The both of them has done brilliant jobs of potraying the character so let's all not forget it.
1:09 Matt: like Amy Pond is WAY cooler then Karen. (BTW: that's a lie) Everyone: WWWOOOOAAAHHH and/or oooooooohhh But seriously!!!!!!! Karen is amazing, plus Nebula? Hello! And I kind of love her anyway. Before I was a fangirl, I really liked actors and didn't really understand liking a female actress. Until Liv Tyler (Arwen) and Karen came along.
If anybody makes it to the Comic-con and gets the chance to ask a question, we need to ask Steven Moffat whether or not he feeds on the fear of small children. I think it is a legitimate concern, given the past two seasons.
Not that I know much about this fandom or anything, but... Why would prefering Matt over David be a bad thing, especially when mentioned under Matt-related video? I would imagine it`s exactly the opposite, that David is both more popular and (little) overrated Doctor and thus people would be more bothered about some fans prefering David over Matt than Matt over David. Or were you precisely talking how those David-fans would go "Fuck you!"? Still find that kinda odd, they`re not the majority.
@RegenerationStorm The BAFTA website lists all past noms, and no CE / DT there for TV Actor when they were the Doctor -- I actually checked it because I wanted to see the Doctor Who noms -- no dice =/ They've won other awards though :)
Even if the show's popularity in America waned, I don't think that would spell disaster. Doctor Who is a British show first and foremost, and as long as it's popular in Britain, I think it'll stay.
I really didn't like this Doctor until seeing The Day of the Moon. It was at a certain point during that episode where I said "All right. Matt Smith is great." It took me a while to adjust. 3 and a half seasons of a serious, selfless, sort of funny (in that "it's funny because he's serious" sort of way) Doctor that wants to always save everyone, to a Doctor that's always funny and silly, and really feels more alien than any other Doctor, and has his moments of seriousness.
@htgnef indeed - DW is the modern tv equivalent of fairy tales collected by The Brothers Grimm (which is a great pun in English, but not, I believe, in German!)
@htgnef I'm guessing you're quite new to Dr Who; fear is an integral part of the programme. 40 years ago, my brother and I would be behind the sofa with our hands over our ears just because of the music (which has now been toned down a lot...) In the 1980s, the series went completely downhill when the BBC insisted it should play for laughs as children's entertainment rather than 'scare your pants off' family viewing...
um i'm not really sure what your saying... i was just trying to make a joke how a lot of people can't believe i love matt smiths doctor more even though i started with david
Those 102 people didnt check you were right. I did. Now im not saying you are completely wrong. Because you arent. Im just saying, get your points specfic. He didnt get nominated for a -Overall BAFTA- He got nominated for a scottish BAFTA. Thats not every year. Its just once.
@amakat16 well, I sure HOPE that David Tennant is better than a door mat ;) but I love Matt and David equally. They have different quirks, and different things to bring to the table. Being obsessive over one person isn't good. This kind of thing has happened 11 times. And its going to happen again and again and again. So I'd say get use to it, fanboy (or idiot fangirl) and learn to love the doctor, not the actor. He's still the same guy, with a different face. Go cry in a corner. Have a nice day
i'm 110% convinced matt smith is the doctor and no one will convince me otherwise
Zara T agreed my friend
Zara T I agree if the doctor was real it definitely would be him but eventually he would regenerate
Yep.
I was so upset when Tennant left, but now i love Matt to death and he's LEAVING. The feels, they hurt....
reading this and hav the same feeling about capaldi leaving
in a couple of years we will feel the same way about the Thirteenth Doctor leaving...
Changed your mind yet?
@@PolinaCedric well...this aged well

I think Matt Smith is the best of the new series. He's just the embodiment of every Doctor, it's believable that he's been through so much.

But Karen is sweeter than Amy.
He got nominated for a bafta?! Blessss him!:')
2:15 - 2:18 Karen is fixing her lip-gloss.

This brings me such joy to learn
Ouch - Beth doesn't seem too pleased about someone talking about Matt's Bafta nomination

That is actually what it does look like
Even if the show's popularity in America waned, I don't think that would spell disaster. Doctor Who is a British show first and foremost, and as long as it's popular in Britain, I think it'll stay.
THANK YOU. Wonderfully stated.
David won a Welsh BAFTA; I don't really know the difference- he was amazing either way.
Both my favorite Doctors wear bow ties.
There should be a dr who lego game...just saying
Lego Dimensions pretty much is a Doctor Who lego game- just with some extra stuff thrown in.
Nick Hurley coz with LEGO video games also comes with sets
YESSSSS

@0GallifreyGirl0 David's never been nominated for a BAFTA. No Doctor was nominated until Matt. No Doctor's won yet.

Gebrüder Grimm, not really.
One dislike. Those who say Doctor Who sucks-notice that. And to that one man-or woman-who did-why?
everyone forgets Chris..
Denabella I'm sad he left early
Karen appears to be giving Piers the finger and she stops when she notices the camera on her.
go matt love you
@RegenerationStorm no.. I think David WON the National Television Award every year though... not sure =P
:46 haha hes so embarrassed! love!
@ImmortalSparrow Yeah, David won the NTA 3 years in a row, but not a Bafta award
lol matt went from getting shit on to being praised
American WHOVIAN here

@RegenerationStorm Tennant was never nominated for a BAFTA.
@worthingSarah Then maybe all of the previous Doctor Who writers have fed on the fear of small children...
I can see The Doctor and Matt Smith being bros.
awww :) that's so sweet :D
nope. Same with me,mate.
didn't Matt get nominated. but David was the one who actually got nominated and won a few times over?
um i'm not really sure what your saying... i was just trying to make a joke how a lot of people can't believe i love matt smiths doctor more even though i started with david

@amakat16 both are good
Can you not, please.
huh, well then ;D
but yeah that is in america. Britian did give birth to The Doctor though >:D
but yes i know what you mean.
Yes he won a welsh BAFTA and nominated for a Scottish BAFTA. Now stop comparing. And next time get your facts right.
I started with David but highly prefer Matt, fuck me right?
And he STILL doesn't get the credit he deserves from these Tennent fanboys!
BAFTA!!!
this is how i know he'll make a great husband
lol
;D

Yeah, but BAFTA has a higher rank than the National Television Award
How jealous are the screenwriters? It's at least a three.
Nah Guys!! Tennant will always be the Doctor!! better than mat!!
