He couldn’t get up for the session in the morning because he was up at Ventana’s (bar at the top of the hotel) drinking all night with fans. I know because I was there.
Priceless!! 40 YEARS later someone is terrific enough to post this incomparable little gem!! Thank you, thank you is not adequate to express gratitude. Isn’t it wonderful to see how close knit and happy the entire group was and how fantastic a fan audience. Can understand now why Patrick Troughton is still credited with being the favorite doctor of the Doctors. Thank you , thank you, thank you.
Oh man that Salamander question to Troughton has to be the biggest "what if" i would have loved to see him make another appearance as that character. At least Salamander showed up again in a comic
I grew up in the Pertwee era and love Troughtons stories. It's great seeing them interacting together. Two well established Actors knowing how to play to the audience..REAL entertainers
Thank you so much for uploading this. Seeing Troughton and Pertwee ribbing together is awesome; they clearly are fond enough of each other to pretend like they're enemies while riding on each other's jokes like old chums.
It’s surprising how Jon and Pat are always talking and making remarks to each other. But when Tom and Jon are in the same room they do not talk to each other
I shot these videos in 1983 using 3/4" video gear from my local cable access station. After 40 years, thinking about the DW 60th anniversary, I decided to have them transfered to mp4 and I uprez-ed them to HD for the youtube channel. I regret the poor quality but I am very happy that I have had the chance sharing these with you all.
@@jmyjoekokomo It's lovely to be able to see them. A shame they're so compressed though. What tape format were they in? There's a project online called vhs-decode which uses a thing called a Domesday Duplicator and RF taps to record the raw signal from the tapes and decode them completely digitally. I've gotten pretty good results from it from Video8 tapes and VHS ua-cam.com/video/stQ3RLCyeOA/v-deo.html
Do pertwee and Davidson were my least favourite of the classic era. I have tried but can never really get into them. Davidson did have a great audio big finish drama called spare parts though. Pertwee was mostly stuck on earth and that kind of turns me off that era. Also the master was cool but featured way too much
Absolute classic banter between 2 and 3. Loved it
Lovely video thanks.
Sad that Peter Davison is the only one on the panel still with us.😢

Feel sad and happy watching this. All these lovely folk are no longer with us very sad .
I love the Troughton-Pertwee banter. It's amazing. XD
"sit down you scruffy old tramp!" 🤣
Thank you for the upload! It's great to have access to these videos, especially the history around the show.

I bet Colin baker’s first episode sounded exciting at the time 😂
As someone who had been a fan of the show as a child, Peter Davison must have been having the time of his life here.

Thank you for uploading this piece of Who history

Troughton was on fine form that day
Tom Baker and Peter Davidson were my Doctors! Peter Davidson had the best hair!

Hi, where did you get these videos from? I'd love to help preserve them in better quality

Thank you for the tip HJ! I will definitely check this out!
Best Who episode for 2024!
Thanks for sharing this with us.
Today I have been mostly eating spuds
No Tom?
Just like the original Five Doctors! How quaint.
No, he wasn't in the 5 doctors
Someone clearly doesn't get the joke ^😅
He turned up later in the day
You can always tell it's an American audience as they can't stop screaming while applauding.
Gives it away all the time that.
