0:230:23 Deborah, I enjoyed your video immensely. I am new at diamond paintings. I happen to have this 30 x 60 and it is so wrinkled up. I’ve only done a few diamond paintings. It is very addictive. I really like your sense of humor and I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Hi Deborah, so good to hear from you again. Hope your husband gets better fast. I iron mine a little differently. I set the iron on wool and place a damp tea towel on the back of the painting. I move quickly but press hard. It works like a dream for me!
@Andrea Kovach Hello!! Thank you for the well wishes for hubby... he needs them. Oh...I did try a damp "towel" but I used a bath towel... not a tea towel. Maybe that makes the difference. You need to put a video up for us all! : ) Thanks for joining the live stream... it was so fun having everyone join in. D. ❤
So good to see you again Deborah. I will definitely use your tips for ironing canvases. Recently, I have had problems with the unglued areas puckering. Your canvas looked great! I hope you and your family get to feeling better soon!
@Ann Boggs Thank you, Ann! Yes... that stretching and puckering around the edges really becomes an ugly situation...it was driving me crazy. Thank you for the well wishes. Can't wait to get back to weekly videos for you all!! D. ❤
@Dawn Hessell You're welcome! Glad you caught the vid and found it helpful! The puckers and stretching were driving me crazy!! Thanks for watching and commenting! D. 😉❤
@Sheila Watts Thank you so much for the compliments! Yes I really like trying different ways of doing things. It's fun! We are ALMOST there, health wise, so many thanks. D. ❤
Hi Deborah! Glad I came across your video and learned something new! I just finished my FIRST Diamond painting and also was nice to see how you used the green tray to straighten the drills! YAY! 2 things I learned new! I was also looking for the link for the Christmas Tree jewelry but didn't see it. Can you help please! And thank you again! Julie :)
@Heidi Simonds Hello there! Thank you so much for joining the live stream the other week and yes... I realize that YOU were the one who suggested cover minders for the Christmas Tree Pendant!! lol I will give you a shoutout in the next video. : ) Thanks for the well wishes for Hubby... we are seeing improvements. D.❤
I first roll the canvas the opposite way. Leave a few minutes. Then dry iron on really low. Gradually increasing the temp after each pass. I love the diamond drill stuff with bigger pieces, like half pearls and so on. Usually for kids. But easier on the eyes! Enjoyed your video.
So glad I found this video. Thanks for doing this. I got a diamond painting in that has some really bad deep wrinkles and the canvas is a stiff type, not the softer canvases I've had. The wrinkles are so bad that heavy college text books aren't helping at all. 😊 At least now I know just what to do to fix my canvas!
Good Video! Just out of curiosity, I wonder if you can use the heat and then take the edge of an old credit card and smooth them out instead of fingers. That method is used for smoothing window tint, it might work for that too. Try that experiment sometime on one of your videos.
Do you have any suggestions for a wavy canvas that's completed? After this video, I'll never be starting a canvas that isn't flat. Thank you for sharing your tips.
I'm late to see this video, but awesome idea that I'm getting ready to try. I didn't see any links below for the jewelry making items, though. Can you place the links in your reply, please?
Could you please share what is your medical issues? I have neuropathy in my legs ,knee down, and in my hands and I’m type 2 diabetes’s. If I don’t set with my legs propped up, other wise my legs will give out on me when I try to walk, and they are very painful, I really have to keep the swelling down or it’s so miserable. 😖
Rather than ironing, get a piece of mat board the same size as your finished artwork (you may need to trim off the white boarders of what they send you). Spray one side of the mat board with 3M spray glue, evenly and consistently across the entire board taking several strokes across. Carefully affix your artwork on the glue side of the mat board, using your fingers to smooth out any wrinkles. You will have a wrinkle free surface to work on and not need to worry about the heat affecting the piece.
Worked perfectly for me. Thank you!!!
Thank you so very much. It worked perfectly.

Thank YOU Deborah! This really works!
Great video. Have a great day
Thanks for making this video! It’s very helpful and I will be sure to come back and let you know how it works out.
Thanks for the dry iron ironing video. I was getting the puckers in my canvass when I ironed them with steam. The dry iron works much better.
@Dawn Hessell You're welcome! Glad you caught the vid and found it helpful! The puckers and stretching were driving me crazy!! Thanks for watching and commenting! D. 😉❤
just found you. Thank you so much for an informative Video. I am in Australia and definitely will try your method out thank you so much.
I just finished that coffee time diamond painting the other day
Low heat made my painting warp and et deep wrinkles 😮
U can get the diamond art stuff on temu. Even the sealer glue. U can also use hairspray. Not the pump
Great video! I think you’ve worked it all out for us! Hope hubby gets better ASAP x
@Sheila Watts Thank you so much for the compliments! Yes I really like trying different ways of doing things. It's fun! We are ALMOST there, health wise, so many thanks. D. ❤

You could always seal the diamonds after you put them on. That way, they won't fall out!!
How would you this if you dont have an iron? Any tips?
Im done whit The seahorse 2 ❤️
@Helen Mellqvist Excellent! Oh I hope you LOVE IT and keep it forever! D. ❤
@@deborahdoesdiamonds5738 No I Will give it away to one Who loves green 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Thank you for your video. Very helpful. But I'm a beginner. What do I do if I already put the diamonds down and I need to iron it?😢
@paulaodonnell7794 you can't you will melt the drills
The iron looks like a skillet. Can you explain how hot it gets even though there is no fire? How fast can u warm up a tortilla?
Can this be done with dp canvas that uses double sided tape instead of poured glue?
I have a partial diamond painting ,… no success at getting creases out …. Help

Hope he gets better he probrably does by now. Its 2024 in march. Covid still going around. Sending love from Buffalo
You never recommended a temp setting
She did at the beginning
I've tried ironing the canvas with a cool iron and ruined 2 paintings so I've gone back to putting them under a heavy weight for a couple of days.
Just ruined one ☹️
Try putting a dry thin towel on canvas before ironing
Stop talking so much.
