If you're an Uber or Lyft driver this next story is a prime example of why you should have a gun on you while you're literally picking up strangers in your car.
Uber's Policies don't supersede the law. So if you're allowed to carry a firearm based on the laws in your state and or city, the worst uber or Lyft can do is fire you, and if you're an Uber or Lyft driver in Philadelphia the chances of you needing a gun to protect yourself from carjackings are increasing because the carjackings in Philadelphia are through the roof.
In 2019: there were 225 carjackings.
In 2020 there were 409 carjackings.
And in 2021 there were 720 carjackings.
At the end of the day, the only person responsible for your safety is you.
If something happens to you, Lyft won't be there, Uber won't be there, so do yourself a favor and go buy a gun, learn to use it safely, and get training.

I applaud this gentleman for ignoring Uber/Lyft policy- he is a subcontractor, not an employee. Personal safety always comes first.
On God! Nothing else matters.
Bingooo
I always tell people are as gas station employees if you want to carry then carry, if firearms are allowed in the store by the customers then you're not committing a crime the worst that happens is you get fired after saving your life in which case good riddance!
As a sub contractor I often have this issue. Apartment manager of a remodel we're doing doesn't like when we carry. But a disgruntled ex who comes into the place to hurt anyone they see, or a general crazy person, doesn't care about their feelings of carrying.
My vehicle isn’t Uber or Lyfts property so their policy is moot. The policy also is for the passengers but I’m not going to go through someone’s bags. This is also a reason I will kick someone out if I get the feeling they have drugs or paraphernalia on them. My fear is god forbid a traffic stop/dui checkpoint and police smell weed or whatever the passenger dumps the drugs in the backseat and kicks it under the front seats.
This citizen should be given an award He also likely saved lives stopping these hardened criminals. Good job.
Hardened criminals!! I think not! Bullets easily stopped them! If the where hardened he would have needed AP rounds! =P haha
Agree! Who knows the Pos might have ran over people or shoot civilians while fleeing. Respect for this driver.
💯
They aren’t hardened. They are weak lowlife cowards who don’t deserve life.
I was born & raised in North Philly & I still live here, YOU MUST BE ARMED TO SURVIVE. PERIOD POINT BLANK!!
When are you leaving ? I live not far from Harrisburg but that's not much better..
"The felon does not fear police and he fears neither judge nor jury, therefore, what he must be taught to fear is his victim"...Lt. Col. Jeff Cooper, USMC, firearms expert, author, conservative. The first responder is you.
I love them Devil Dogs. The Worlds 911.
Hell yeah!!
Philly cops are corrupted, just like their voting system
BINGO.
and in this case, the victim should fear the murder charge...
He is very smart, he didn't pull his weapon right off the bat. He got his passenger out of harms way first, then took care of business! Props to this man
Yes sir, he knew what he was doing, you have to wait your turn.
You always have to wait your turn to counter ambush.
1 of the 4 basic firearm safety rules are to be aware of what's beyond your target. Self defense classes with a handgun will also stress that you're responsible for every shot that comes out of your firearm.
Being anti-gun doesn’t make you a better person, it makes you a better target. - Colion Noir

Score another win for the 2d Amendment! Forget what Lyft says, he's a private contractor & Lyft won't lift a finger if you're hurt or killed on the job!
Lyft will absolutely lift a finger! They'll hire a new driver.
The last company I worked at wanted me to get certified to work in Philly in my line of work. Told them I wanted nothing to do with Philly in any shape or form since we're not allowed to arm ourselves. Some guys would still carry a knife on them but honestly, fuck philadelphia
Good job, man! He had a conceal carry and he protected himself. Protect yourself and others!
He pointedly protected his passenger as well!
Crazy to think he had to get a “Conceal Carry permission slip” for a constitutional right that everyone has already
@@mauserman8mm1 That's why I hate the term "constitutional carry state". There's no such thing as a "constitutional carry state" because this is a constitutional carry COUNTRY.
if this was my driver we would have been sending many rounds
@@INoIFearIGaming
Also constitutional carry implies everyone can carry as the constitution intends. It would be the only valid laws are related to how you use a gun, not just possessing it. Yes, that includes released felons.
I love it when a plan comes together. This guy is a solid Self defense Icon for us.
The lyft driver deserves a medal. And no company should have the "Right" to restrict the common individuals.
It should be considered discrimination & illegal to fire someone because of their sexual preferences. I identify as an ammosexual, just like CN. 🤠👉💥
Things like this needs to happen more often to actually stop the criminals.
Criminals only commit the crimes because the benefits outweigh the potential risks. If the potential risks goes up, that means more people will think twice before committing a robbery or worse.
🙌
Definitely. That's why you need to always be prepared cause the devil doesn't wait
Love the sentiment. The flip side of that coin is that the bad guys simply shoot first instead of using the gun as an intimidation tool.
The bad guys do both already
While I whole heartedly agree with the general sentiment, if somebody only pays attention to mainstream news they might not realize that things like this really do happen more often, we just don't hear about them because they generally aren't reported nationally.
I don't mean to suggest that you aren't aware of this, odds are thst you are aware considering the channel we are posting on, but I like to point it out at every opportunity regardless.
The CDC estimated somewhere between tens of thousands and multiple millions of defensive gun uses each year. Acording to the anti-gun CDC there are, at minimum, double the number of defensive firearms uses as compared to all gun deaths.
Comsidering more than half of gun deaths are suicides, that a bunch of others are justified defensive shootings by citizens and police, and that some are accidental deaths, I think it is safe to say that defensive shootings are exponentially more common that assaults with firearms.
So, this sort of thing happens, at minimum, more than twice as often as other shootings, but we almost never hear about the defensive stuff nationally.
Hmmm...
And, that only counts times when the weapon was actually fired. They have no idea how many times a defensive display has stopped a crime without anybody firing a shot.
In the USA citizens are far, far more likely to defend somebody with a gun than attack somebody with one, but the media keep the defensive gun use quiet and internationally blast out every gun death that fits their narrative.
You don't hear as much about deadly shootings that were ended by an armed citizen, except on local news.
Ever notice that most of Colion's defensive shooting videos are local news? I don't know about you, but where I live in Ohio I hear more personal stories of defensive gun use from people I meet than I hear on national news.
A couple months ago my father-in-law was within sight of an attempted mass shooting at a drag racing event. Dude pulls out a hand gun and starts taking pot shots. Within seconds he was shot by another random attendee, an ambulance was called, and he was off to the hospital and jail. He lived. Nobody else was hurt.
Not even a peep on the local news stations. Had to read about it in the local paper. I wouldn't even have heard about it if I hadn't known somebody who was there. This happened within twenty minutes drive of my house. Why wasn't it news?
So, it happens but we don't hear about it, even when it is in our own back yard. How common is this sort of thing?
Well, CDC thinks it might happen millions of times a year.
Why isn't it reported? I suppose "criminal dead/jailed" doesn't make as good a story as "father of three killed in the street by mad gunman." It could be money, but I think it is somthing worse. I remain suspicious of their motives.
Still, I agree. However often this sort of thing happens, I wish it happened more.
I love how the officer called the driver the victim and the carjacking suspects prisoners. That is how it should be.
My car's not Lyft property. To add, the absolute ego to think that corporate policy supercedes the Constitution is mind-boggling. Next question.
besides.. lyft uber dd ic etc - we are independent contractors. And outside of things blatantly obvious to the service being provided.. like for food delivery use hot bags.. they don't get to dictate 💩. Not what color insulated bags I use, not what size, and damn sure not what is on my person or in my vehicle that has zero effect on food safety. Much the same for those that carry people.. except instead of insulated bags, it's a clean space for the passengers.
I would have to say that the Constitution restricts the Government from infringing on your rights. Companies can create policies to restrict you of your rights in contractor and employment agreements. Under those agreements you waive your rights but they never tell you that upfront. So if the company leaves you defenseless, do you think you can sue them for not providing protection as they made you waive your right to self defense?
@@verumperditio3574 I see what you mean, and you're right. My comment was more in the lines of them having the audacity to tell you what you can and can't do while trying to fuck you into continuing to be a 1099 contractor. Like no, ny car, my rules if they want to play that game.
@@robertf6523 DD doesn't mention any policy regarding firearms, not that it's any of their business anyway. I DD occasionally and there are a ton of sketchy places I've gone to on the other side of the city, but I usually decline those routs unless it's very slow and daylight.
@@verumperditio3574 I agree. But still, their only recourse is to fire you. My employer has an anti-gun policy on campus, and I'm not going to buck that because they have armed security that patrols and I work in a VERY secure building. Plus their campuses are gated and secured and in (relatively) safe areas of the city.
But if I were working Lyft or Uber, DD, etc., you'd be dang sure I'll be protecting myself and my passengers!
The cops seem pleased that he stopped the criminals. Great job brother 👍
they arnt being allowed to do their jobs. so they aren't doing em. at the same time, I don't think they like watching the city burn. justice is rare these days.
And when he referred to the driver as the "victim" it made my heart warm.
I just hope that the DA doesn't go after him. Philadelphia is really blue, and most blue cities don't want the average person to be able to protect themselves.
@@windrider65 The DA can only prosecute crimes that the police charge someone for. He is gonna have to lean on the PD to get them to file charges and arrest the driver.
@@chrishalling8518 I hope things work out for him. The only way the piece of 💩 criminals are ever going to stop is when the danger of loss of life is present with every human interaction. I believe that the driver did the right thing.
Take care of yourself and your family and stay safe. Have a wonderful weekend.
I used to be a Uber/Lyft driver from 2017-2019 here in Miami, FL. And let me tell you, I ignored the policies of both companies and always had my Sig on me. There are some places here that I had my hand already on it because of how sketchy the area is. Thankfully I never had to use it, but glad I always had it there for everyone's safety. 2A for life.

I live in Philly. As soon as I saw this story, I knew you would be on it. I'm glad to see my fellow Philadelphians fighting back. Too many victims in the "city of brotherly love".
I'm guessing you guys have a leftist DA?
Given the record number of murders last year, and being on pace for 600 this year, buckle up as it's going to get worse before it gets better.
YUP!
Everyone needs to start fighting back. If the DA’s are going to prosecute, then we will have to perforate

Glad to see people standing up for themselves. Stories like this are what the anti gun crowd hate the most.
Actually not at all, licensed gun ownership is supported across the board politically in the USA. The debate in this country is whether someone can own firearms without subjection to a rational regulatory framework. Lyfte is a private employer/contractor, they're allowed put in place any set of policies they see fit and their employees/contractors can follow or not follow those policies at their own risk.
@@nmk5003 " licensed gun ownership is supported across the board politically in the USA" Bullshit. Quit lying.
@@joshbutler822 I never said it wasn't, but licensed gun ownership was not the conversation on this thread. The only thing I have brought into the discussion here was the history and possible legitimate concerns that people could have with the Second Amendment. I am perfectly willing to entertain a serious good faith debate on a license to carry a firearm.
@@nmk5003 No license is needed or wanted. I carry unrestricted because of "Shall not be infringed". I'm not willing to entertain a debate where weapons are further restricted. I consider it duty to ignore unconstitutional laws. Your "concerns" with the second amendment are moot. Right back to that "Shall not be infringed" thing again. Nobody I know is down with getting the state's permission to have a gun. Pass all the laws you like, I'll still ignore them.
@@nmk5003 And gun ownership is supported widely. Just not with a license. Never gonna accept that like a subject.
The absurdity of Lyft being concerned about community members safety concerns about weapons, while banning the drivers (who are the ones in danger) from protecting themselves! Its unconstitutional and its madness. Feelings over facts mentality.
Just goes to show their liberal views while they grandstand.
@@chrishalling8518 We really need to support new services that support our country's values. Giving money to woke corporations that don't is so counterintuitive.
Funny how Lyft thinks people feel safer without an armed driver yet here is a great example of how an armed driver actually saved the day for him and the passenger
@@Seb-Storm Id love to see every corporation that infringes on Constitutionally protected rights suffer serious financial damage. It's insane that a right which is protected by law can be taken away just because a company feels like it? I only support companies that support my country. Once on my blacklist, they never come off. Its the only way to stop this nonsense.
Sadly, he was likely removed from the lyft platform for violating their rules.
I used to drive for Lyft and Uber. I always carried two firearms on me at all times. My license plate is a unique way to spell Texas Open Carry. When my passengers would ask me about my license plate it started some conversations that gave me the opportunity to educate people on our gun rights.
Most of the time I never admitted to being armed, because of lyft and Uber's anti-gun policy. Once I was able to get a full-time job again, I dropped rideshare driving like a bad habit. I will never drive for Lyft or Uber because both companies donate money every year towards gun control.
If they have money to donate to anti Americans, they have money to pay subcontractors more.
Lease a property and do Airbnb, way better
@ Tell us more, as to how you do that.
Uber & Lyft also came out against the Texas abortion law and were advocating for it to be overturned. They made it seem like the drivers were at risk of being sued bc they picked up a passenger and dropped them off somewhere. They cater to all the woke fads just to stay in business.
2:20 Good on the chief inspector for rightfully calling the driver the victim instead of the scumbags that got shot
IKR! I'm pleasantly *surprised* that this was the case in Philadelphia.
Yes, but the prosecutors in Philadelphia may change that.
@@williambilyeu9801 they may, but one can at least hope that the public’s sentiment will echo that of the cop. I think the Rittenhouse trial has done a lot in raising awareness on that particular nuance
I use to be a Lyft driver in Georgia. During a ride I had to defend myself. And immediately I was fired. They said that I violated the regulations about a weapon. They did not care if I were ok or not. I'm glad that you shared this video. Because the ride share companies does not care about the drivers at all. And saying how the passenger feels about seeing a weapon. Anybody in the right mindset will not have their weapon out in the open for anyone to see. Thank you again for sharing this so that others can be aware. FYI protect yourself because these companies don't care about you at all...
This man is a hero. Plain and simple.
I definitely respect that reporter for telling drivers that they should get a concealed carry permit. Watch his full report if you haven't.
This guy needs to offer a Master Class on dealing with human filth.
I think this went over the heads of many. Bravo lol
Nicely done. He protected himself and his passenger and any many others from these two jackers
The "jackers" were fleeing, not attacking. Deadly force is justified only when undertaken to prevent imminent and otherwise unavoidable danger of death or grave bodily harm to the innocent.
@@JohnLloydScharf I agree because actually thats the law (he used excessive force since they were fleeing and not facing him when he took the shots). But in my opinion originally they attacked by hitting him so that he could get out to check the "damage' to the car. Set a trap basically, and threatened with weapons, his life and his passenger's life so in my book I feel it's justified and I hope that he doesn't get charged for that technicality.
@@leeleehenry293 those fleeing carjackers deserved to get shot up like that, so I don't have any sympathy for those jackasses!!!! so with that said, i'm glad that armed law-abiding citizens are fighting back, and i'm happy that Uber/Lyft driver and his passenger survived the ordeal.
@@DrQuagmire1 FACTS🙌! I'm so sick of certain people always defending the criminals! How about the rights of law abiding citizens? If the law "technically" protects carjackers, armed robbers, etc. then it needs to be changed! The lowlifes have found loopholes and are using them to terrorize society. Who cares if the guy was fleeing? He was doing so in the Lyft driver's car!
@@justtryme2020 exactly!!!! I've been taking up target shooting mostly as a new fun hobby, as I never had the chance to do so until recently. So this way, if i'm ever forced to defend myself or someone I know (as i'm a licensed gun owner), i'll know how to handle a firearm.
"Dont carry a weapon within any Lyft properties" wtf you mean lyft properties.. lyft makes its money by using other peoples personal properties. They should have the right to carry their firearm at all times
@ True, better to be terminated from the job than to be dead. If your job doesn't want you to carry a weapon, then keep it hidden. If you have to defend yourself from a life and death situation then that's the first thing on your mind, the ramifications of using the weapon to defend yourself afterwards won't be.
I can assure you, that Lyft driver has had his driving partnership with Lyft terminated by Lyft. I drove for Lyft for a VERY brief time in 2017 and stopped after only about a month and a half.
I live in Kansas, and I do not need a license, or permit to open or conceal carry. I do not need to register my weapon and private sales are just that...private.
NOBODY tells me what I can, or cannot have in MY vehicle and I'll be damned if a company is going to forbid me of protecting myself and my property.
Makes me feel warm and fuzzy knowing when good citizens are able to defend themselves.
Honestly I am surprised that the Philly PD didn't arrest the Lyft driver and charge him. I know that the Philly DA would throw the book at him if they were to arrest and charge him.
It’s not over yet. Seeing he and the woman were out of the car, they could easily claim he didn’t need to shoot. The fact they aren’t dead is the only reason he hasn’t been arrested.
@Chill Music Yup, I am one of those people.
tell that to the democrats

I'd also love to know how nice of cars these drivers have that are getting jacked. How many of those attempted car jackings were for a 200k mile toyota corolla?
Great to see that the driver and passenger are well and the criminals are hospitalized and arrested
Savage driver!!! He had the wherewithal to get the innocent woman out of harms way before making his move! Excellent job buddy!!! Other drivers should model him, wether your driving for a company or driving privately.
You're.
Wonder if he's a vet?
Lol robbers like "This guy is really lookin out" then BANG
I’m guessing that was his way of putting them off, and him being able to stay close and help her out of the vehicle and when the POS figured he had an easy target he just hopped in the drivers seat while the guy was able to draw his firearm and blast him. I am wondering when that day will come to me.
The driver, simply waited for "his turn" to act.
Man, imagine if we made it so scary for criminals to be criminals that the country inadvertently became safer because criminals were more afraid of their potential victims than law enforcement.
Sure but desperation sometimes supercedes logic. I would say that's the main reason to advocate for 2a. When the country crashes and people lose homes and food, crime is committed out of desperation to live. Nothing more dangerous than a man who feels like he's lost everything and has nothing to lose by killing someone else to survive

After about a half hour discussion he told me that he now has a different outlook on the 2A and appreciates me for keeping myself and my family safe. He also is considering going to the range with me in the future!
Im from Philly, and I’m proud to see fellow 2 amendment advocates/license to carry holders fighting back against these idiotic criminals 💯💯💯
There was a moment in recent time when I drove for both Uber and LYFT. The policy against carriage while was something that always live at the very back of my mind; nothing that lived at the very front was my promise to my young son that, “Daddy will be back soon.” The knowledge that more than half of the drunkest I was ferrying in and out of Buckhead were armed pushed that stupid policy right out of my head. I am retired now....but have faced this same decision when I was working. "Do I follow company policy and go unarmed....or violate my employer's rule and carry?"
I came to the conclusion that "I can always get another job...but there ain't no coming back from being dead."
Gonna need Jesus Christ for that last one brother😂
You can always carry. If nobody knows you are carrying then there are no issues. Jobs are replaceable lives are not.
This is the same decision my husband had to make. He works 3rd shift in a very bad part of town. If it comes down to his life or his job, he chooses his life. And good on him for it.
Same problem but I work for a government entity so I could be in a crap load of legal trouble even though in my mind I'm doing absolutely nothing wrong. The laws are bad laws. In many states private companies are allowed to post no firearm signs and they can charge you for trespassing if you do.
While I feel loss of life in any capacity is sad, good on him for standing up. When criminals start to get the picture, we as citizens, we are not your victims they may wise up. ( not likely) I feel that everyone should and really has a duty to be prepared and trained to defend themselves and their loved ones. Keep up the good work Conlion.

I wonder how the prosecutor's office will view his actions. He and his passenger were out of the vehicle and seemingly safe, then he opens fire. Was he and/or his passenger truly in mortal danger at that time? I do hope that the driver is in the clear.
Just thinking about that
I have said the same thing. But if the cars were still there, which it seems to have been, they were not fleeing the scene. They fled after they were shot. So that is like saying the robbers are still in the house but on their way to a different room to ransack.
"I saw him reaching for the rifle".
"I saw him reaching for a weapon".
Remember people, always say that you saw him reaching, pointing, or brandishing a weapon.
I wonder if reasonably expecting that the person taking the vehicle will likely commit crimes or harm someone else is enough justification to stop the perp with deadly force when the opportunity presents itself. After all, I've seen plenty of vids of cops firing at a fleeing vehicle under the justification that a vehicle can be a deadly weapon of sorts.
@@LordThranduil234 I don't know PA laws but in Texas you can use deadly force to protect property if you have reasonable expectation that you will not get it back otherwise. Insurance payouts aren't considered return of property.
That and there was still a rifle on the scene which opens the door for legal force in self defence.
This is one example of how catering to people's feelings can be a dangerous mistake. Hopefully Uber and or lift are both sued and policies change. Unfortunately something tragic will have to happen in order for that to take place
@ I suspected that this was the case. Just still amazes me that companies operating on American soil can have you enter into contracts that would have you forfeit ANY of your constitutional rights. My place of work doesn't allow guns or ammunition on the work site but also isn't in the greatest of areas crime-wise so... what do people do? I know i would much rather risk my career than my life any day. Thanks for your comment man, stay safe.
Plenty of tragic things have happened with these companies already
Actually Uber didn't at one time have a no firearms policy interestingly it was when a licensed carrier who was an Uber driver stopped a mass shooting in progress that caused them to implement a no firearms policy. Yes you got that right an Uber driver drew his legally carried firearm saving the lives of two pinned down cops and several civilians so they said no more guns in cars
@@michaeladams7782 Typical leftists nutjob reaction to folks saving lives, with a firearm. Best to ignore the asinine policy--carry anyway.
This is the 2nd amendment at work! Great job, glad the Lyft driver and his passenger are ok!
I pray the lyft driver doesn't face any jail time.
I read your title and immediately thought, good.
Im glad the Uber/Lyft driver got out safely with out getting shot.
This is the kind of refreshing news I wanna hear all the time!
He should be awarded for standing up to his rights and ending the criminals business.
I was surprised the Lyft driver wasn't charged with a crime.
We'll see. I'm hoping that he isn't charged, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is.✌🏽🤞🏽
I bet he is. Once the perp was in the vehicle and was leaving the victim, they will try to say he overstepped his right to defend.
@@brianstinson7757 He may not be because of this, Use of force justifiable for protection of property: 18 Pa.C.S.A § 507

Good situational awareness. Waiting for the man to get in the car where his rifle isn’t easily accessible was a great call.
He lyfted the attempted car jackers no doubt. .

Great job Colion. Keep up the great working protecting the citizens of this great nation's right to defend their life.
Good for him for protecting himself and putting an end to those two criminals terrorizing the city!! Props to the police too for actually supporting the victims in this case and not siding with the criminals
more and more each day we get to see the effects of good gun owners winning and showing non gun friendly people guns are fantastic in the right hands!
Warms my heart
This is information that the public needs to know. I’m impressed with the driver’s quick thinking, he kept his passenger’s safety a priority and used decisive action to protect himself and stop the criminals.
It is as if he had prepared for moments like this and rehearsed it.
This is like the third or fourth Uber carjacking 5”this year where the driver was armed. Good for them. Im glad Uber can’t do anything about it
Pretty ballsy of Lyft to act like privately owned vehicles are “Lyft property”.
I live on the NJ side of Delaware river, I used to love going to philly as a kid but now I don’t feel safe going anywhere near city limits. This is why I’m moving the hell out of here. No amount of cool museums or childhood memories can keep me here.
Uber will fire you on the spot. Lyft will not. Lyft will evaluate the situation and make contact with the driver to make sure the driver is ok in a situation like this. Thats why lyft will beat uber because they actually give a shit about their drivers.
I carry every night I drive, you never know what could happen.
Love that they emphasize that it's an automatic rifle, which I fail to see how that is relevant.
Well, you could say those guys got a Lyft...
Straight to a jail cell.
Drive for uber, always carried concealed, picking up strangers, we deserve to be able to protect ourselves. Guess the criminals didn't read the law prohibiting them from having a firearm.
criminals dont care about laws
@@p00lboy that's why I said it, sarcastically
In Maryland you aren't allowed to carry a gun on you except in rare situations
I worked at a very large prison for over 30 years, one thing I learned is criminals do not obey laws. Another thing is that the laws that are on the books now are not enforced. Day after day I see a crime, usually murder committed by a felon in possession of a firearm.
The reason this person is on the streets is a failure to prosecute to the full extent of the law. The reasoning behind this is they do not want to fill the prisons. So all the new Gun laws are a bunch of B.S. they just affect law abiding citizens by hindering their rights.
I completely agree and advocate for 2a. But something stood out in your argument: they don't want to fill prisons. I was always under the impression that they want to fill prisons because of the money they get for each prisoner. What makes you think otherwise? Am I just hit with the left's ideas in this regard?
@@grandaced I believe the prison situation is based on saving money. By no means am I an expert I just speak from observation. Many prisons have been shut down here in Michigan so the capacity has decreased. I know many parole agents that have complained that parole violators get off many times with little penalty.
Lately the tag line is long criminal history on many of the murders and assults in the country. If you look at California they are soft on crime and now they have plenty of it. One thing a criminal does not like is to be convicted and removed form sociaty. What really upsets me is the plea bargaining when they drop the charges of a stolen firearm, felon in possesion of a firearm these things should not be debateable. This is one reason that firearm crime is up, there is little deterent to the offender if he or she is caught.
Anyway this my take. Be safe and stay healthy.
Unfortunately in today's society, the DAs will go after the driver rather than the thieves. Just look at what the DA in NYC Manhattan is going after (or lack thereof)
Philly is blessed to be WAYYYY different than NYC or Chi. Lol the cops called this guy a hero. Politicians arent stopping the violence, cops dont have the means. This is the way, always has, always will.
Just shoot the ignorant DA too
Exactly. Give it a couple weeks and we'll be hearing about this "vigilante" driver facing charges.
A very sad testament to our legal system/society.
The Philly DA is a Soros backed liberal so it will happen. It would not surprise me at all if the DAs office leans on the PD to find some kind of charge to come after the driver with.
Hats off to the way the reported handled this.
I work with a man who does Uber, he tells me they say not to carry while doing the job. He carries a Desert Eagle and doesn't let anyone sit directly behind him; I'm all for it, you don't know what kind of crazy is gunning for you.
This is how you keep crime rate down.
You make the criminals think every instance is possibly their last.

Glad he popped the other guy too. Hope he doesn't get prosecuted for the second shoot.
Doubt it, dude rear ended him to initiate the jacking and probably could've ran him over.
you can count on it. if the 2nd guy wasn't an immediate threat
Oh BTW Uber and Lyft already treat their employees like shit. Makes sense for them to preclude their drivers from self-protection given their reputation
Their drivers aren't employees.
On top of that, the most thug looking Karens are the only ones who have problems with their drivers protecting themselves. It's so blatantly obvious, it hurts.
Would've loved to see the look of sheer terror and disbelief on the carjackers' faces when the prey became the predator.

I doubt a car jacker would happen to have a bolt action. Seeing as how uncommon non automatic rifles are these days outside of hunting or target shooting, i'd be more surprised if whatever he used wasn't at least a semi auto
@Seer-of-things end everything is a super scary fully automatic semi ghost gun to these people.
Thank you for sharing this valuable information to keep everyone aware of the increasing crime and the continued need to prepare because we never know when we may need to defend ourselves.

I drive for uber in Philadelphia everyday. Even had many pick ups in the area where this car jacking happened. You need a firearm with you every day. Not because most people are out to get you, but because of the few that are. I could care less about a company's policy.
I drive for both U&L and I carry every single day. They don’t own my car I do. They are not driving my car I do. I’m simply a 1099 contractor for a rideshare company. They are happy to de-platform me upon an incident. My life is more precious than the peanuts they give us to drive their clients.
