Some years back, I stayed in a hotel in Yala, Southern Thailand, had 2 pictograms on the wall by our door indicating that firearms and hand grenades were prohibited. On the wall on the other side of the door, there was a pictogram, twice the size saying Durian was also prohibited.

I used to hate walnuts 'cos they always seemed to taste rancid. Then I ate some fresh walnuts and realised that the ones I had been eating were always stale. I love fresh walnuts; they will go bad fairly quickly due to their oil content.
    Eat 'em while they're tasty!
Oh, and pickled walnuts are the best!

I lived in Korea and their food is amazing.... Except for the eel and squid. No thanks. Love their Bulgoki, so good!
Burgers are different there also. Koreans like to eat them with a knife and fork. They'll put some Korean BBQ spices and sauces in them also so it is very different but you can get an American burger too. Pizza has corn and pickles on them, KFC is ALL spicey hot chicken. If you are there go to the small hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant, they have good food cheap and the people are friendly. Have a Hite beer, Soju or Chilsing to drink.

Yeah I hate oatmeal too. Oatmeal is just it's always too thick, and it has this weird flavor to it. I used to eat it with sugar but as I got older my taste for it dwindled. I really prefer grits, they have a nice creamy texture and they have more bold taste, and when you add things to him to get more savory rather than soaking up the sweetness of anything you put in them

I can agree with some of his choices ( sea squirt, Korean stinky tofu, discoliored chicken innards and spam), but walnuts, oatmeal and vanilla ice cream on pie? Okay, the ice cream can be served separately. Durian, while most object to the smell largely, really isn't that bad texturally. Oatmeal is more of textural thing for most.and I know some who don't like it eiher. Walnuts I don't know why but then again, I'm not a fan of pecans eitther so to each his own. Raw cookie dough is a head scratcher for me but I guess the graininess wouldn't be a favorite for everyone. I agree with Andrew wholeheartedly about traveling and eating the foods of the country you're visiting. You can get a burger, pizza and hot dog when you're back home in the US, not in a foreign country.. Although, do visit a McDonald's or a KFC in another country to sample foods you won't find in the US.

There was part of an episode I saw whenever his show was still new and airing on TV, and this episode was somewhere in India and there is is just rotten dish that he said he just wouldn't try, and I remember looking at it and it looked like it was red, well it was a whole fish, and it looked like there's probably like red curry or seasonings or something; it was predominantly red, and it had been rotting inside of something I want to say someone on the show said an unplug refrigerator or something like that, but I haven't been able to find that on UA-cam and now I'm really just starting to wonder if that memory is even real LOL it feels like it is

@@manchagojohnsonmanchago6367 Hello again. Yes, they're very good, especially with cheddar cheese, cold cuts and game meat. The whole thing is pickled, including the hull. Then they're sliced. I know they sound odd, but they're a delicious accompaniment. Come to think of it though, I've never seen them outside of England.
