- Summer Flounder (Fluke) fishing from the surf before the arrival of a big storm. I was able to cull in 5 fluke over 18" from the suds in a couple of very productive beaches. No need to cover beach on this day as I was able to locate the biomass. FYI, my friend Keith @big_blue_custom_rods on IG has been prototyping the perfect shore fluke rod. More to come on review + demo but anyone interested learning about the rod DM him for details.
🐐Let’s Go! Thanks for the video!!
Amazing work as always!
Love the video Marc!!
Great video!! What’s ya jig method? Do ya pop and reel in? Or two pops?
Video is very cool! Want to try single jig in future!
Lol “future”
What state are you in?
Awesome dude. I only started fluking this year and jerk shad on a single jig seems to outfish anything else from shore, at least in my short experience.
Any advice for not losing fish in the suds? They start to freak out and flop around once they reach the water's edge which is when I tend to lose a lot of fish. Lost a keeper that way fishing out front yesterday
That’s the biggest challenge fishing out front! A rod that can load down the blank is key without sacrificing a crisp tip. A tight drag is key for the hookset but back off the drag by a turn and half when you get close to the lip. This will give the fluke a chance to run if it takes off. I’ll be doing a video to illustrate this. Thanks!
@@shore-moneyfishing1939 ahhh thanks! Looking forward to the video on this
