A tough song to cover. One of my favorites of all time. That lead singer girl's voice is so smooth and so right. Wow. The whole band is spot on. The keyboard kid nailed it!
The lead vocalist really has talent. I'd love to hear them cover this in the studio where the mix is easier to control. I'm sure it would sound much better, but it's still good. Yes's songs are tough to do.
Tough song to cover… hats off to these youngins! Kudos to the bass player… guy’s rocking!!! Guitar (black LP) nailing the licks. Vocalist Drummer and keyboard did an excellent job! Thank you! ✌🏼👌👍🏼🥰
PHENOMENAL! My favorite band of over 50 years. These kids showed tremendous talent. Rhythm section was on point. Vocals were excellent. Singing Jon Anderson is not an easy task. She did great. Keys were also fantastic. Wakeman would be proud. Guitar work was incredible. Steve Howe being one of the best guitarists in the world. This band took a very difficult song and made it their own. Video and sound were exceptional! Great venue. This is a video that can be watched over and over and you will see and hear something new every time! Great job by this SoR band! Turn it up, close your eyes, and take the musical journey that is YES!!!
The baselines alone are on a different level Chris squire was an incredible bass player. The whole song very difficult to play but they pulled it off and quite well
Excellent job! You guys nailed it. It is so good for an older guy like myself who grew up listening to progressive rock hear our next generation of rockers keep this music alive. Long Live Rock!
Phenomenal! Splendid! FIRE. Keyboardist and lead guitar especially killed it. Loved how the backup singers were dancing around and vibing, too! Great editing of shots as well! Tough song to cover, so wondrous to hear done well, which this was!
WOW! Wonferful performance of a song not an easy one! Great to see young talented people playing like the're pros. Good job all, being the bass player and the lead vocals outstanding!
This was a superb rendition by this young group of musicians. The pretty female vocalist carried this song all the way with fury and talent. There are no easy songs produced by YES. All great musical works of art. I was first introduced to Yes while at prep school in the 70's The level of talent emanating from the School of Rock is boundless. The other dark haired pretty female singer, does a great job nailing the vocals on Avenging Annie. Keep up the great work on old tunes that stand the test of time. You can tell the young musicians appreciate the depth of these old quality tunes. Rock On
Impressive indeed, however I don't think I've ever seen a pair of drumsticks quite that big around before, maybe that's what amateur drum sticks look like, dunno.
This is not a song to be taken lightly. Anyone who attempts it is a star in my book. This song hit me so hard in 1973 when I accidentally heard it, that it turned me into a life-long musician/guitar repairman- now 48 years in business as Guitartec Repair in MA (scuse the shameless plug). Oddly, throughout my career, I've met countless others who were affected by this song the same way. Bravo for even considering it, never mind playing it and videoing it for us.
Look through my channel, I have so many amazing young musicians doing songs that you would never expect. The School of Rock is producing so many guitarists that they will keep you quite busy until you retire.
I have to mix a stereo feed from the soundboard with a pair of mics because the guitar and bass ants are so freaking loud on stage, that none of them wind up in the board mix. If guitar and bass players want to be heard, they should turn down their amplifiers.
Brilliant effort, difficult song to master. Special mention to the vocals and bass, extra marks for that Ricky bass tone. The vocalist did a great job, not trying to imitate, but bringing her own flair and voice to the fore. All round(about 😁) great stuff, good to know this music is appreciated by young people today.
I like the fact the singer kept the song within herself, talent/ range. Make the song your own is more than a mantra. Unless you're a tribute band, nothing says that you can't be true to yourself. It just sounds so much authentic when you are not trying to imitate every nuance of the original.
@@manthony1956 Never have i seen a school of rock band use cheat sheets and i have watched hundreds of these videos and have bought dozens of the dvds. She should of learned the words and the song. No excuse!

Great job with a difficult and complex song...These young people are just a bit older than I was, when I discovered YES in the 70's...If they spend the rest of their lives, devouring the MANY contributions by the band and their offshoots, they'll have spent a productive life...:)... You just don’t see covers of YES songs, especially roundabout. There is a reason for that, every instrument including vocals is a black Diamond trail. These kids are pros. Very well done. Wonder what they are up too now? Anyone know?
Sweet, my man on the bass is toting a Rick!!!! He's got it sounding pretty close to Chris Squire's Rick too. I'll give him credit for getting as close to the original as he can. Well done, young man!
