- Fished two different spots in Savannah, GA. Didn't do that great because my gear was still built for freshwater fishing in South Carolina. But I'm going to test out different rigs and see what is most successful. There are trout in the water biting on mud minnows. Something broke my line because I had 6lb test. Going to upgrade lines to 20lb. I got to see a Manatee for the very frst time in my life. Scared the hell out of me until I realized what it was.

hey woody im about to take my son in july there to surf fish..and on the pier...will store bought shrimp work well for bait even though they are fresh water farm raised,,also what are the fish you cant keep if any..thanks

qtrml dead or live shrimp will work.Even the store bought. I usaally get fresh dead shimp from a guy that goes shrimping on weekends and sells it.
It'll start to heat up soon around here when everything starts biting. I'm about to post a new video that I did today on my boat with friends.

I live in Savannah as well im trying to get another surf rod to go fishing for bull red wheres a good spot on tybee?
To be honest I never went for bull reds on Tybee. I don't hardly fish Tybee because the spot I want to fish I have to keep putting money in the meter. So I try to fish elsewhere.
That's understandable I've been hearing they're out there though its been a while since i fished surf though I used to fish sneads ferry alot when i was stationed at lejune mostly for sharks n reds
When you were fishing in the creek in the woods how did you rig for sea trout? What about flounder? and could I catch sea trout on cut finger mullet?

I’m from here and just getting into fishing, I prefer ponds, but most of the good ones are private. But I’ll fish anything with water, I gotta find me some more spots, thanks for this one.
no problem, i got kicked out of most residential ponds and they put up signs now. So I can’t find any fresh water places except for gregory park in richmond hill and the ponds near loves seafood on ogeechee. I stay in pooler ga
@@WoodysReeltimeFishing word. Yea i stay in midway. Grew up in RH, I gotta start hitting up JFG. It’s a pond that they just put in Sterling Creek in RH, not to far from JFG. I went the other day, caught 2 catfish. You should check it out when you get a chance. It’s public. That pond behind Loves Seafood ain’t hitting on nothing, for me anyway. Only caught a Carp, soffshell turtle, and gators.

Omar Elkamel It really depends on what Im fishing for. I do carolina rig. I sometimes just use a hook and a slipshot. Or I just get a double hook liter from walmart
