PIER & SURF Fishing | Jekyll Island

- This was my experience fishing accessible locations as a tourist visiting Jekyll Island on the Georgia coast. I throw out frozen shrimp and squid from the Public Fishing Pier, and then from the beach by my hotel (adjacent to Driftwood Beach).
Never fails! As soon as you hook something decent, people crowd around you! People have no etiquette anymore!
I was on a charter boat once; I caught a small flounder, and while I was unhooking fish, some jerk runs over and takes my spot (I foolishly moved off the rail). He caught the largest flounder from 'my' spot and won the largest fish pool! First time I almost came to throwing someone overboard!
That was definitely a sting ray sucking himself to the bottom!
The spot you did the intro and is one of the best flounder spots
Oh really? I'll remember that for next time - thanks!
Cool to see a video from here we vacation down there every year. You may have hooked a Bull red as well. I’ve caught a few 4-5ft sharks off the beach there as well
Thanks! Yeah it's awesome out there, looking forward to my next visit.
That was definitely a big sting ray. Sticking itself to the bottom
Like you video. Will go St Simons Island this weekend😊
Thanks! Have fun!
REM_fishing I caught a fish there at jerkal island pier and I’m 13
It was a silver poucr
Did that dude just bare hand touch a toad fish
I don't really know much about them. They look gnarly - are you not supposed to touch them?!
You should go fish the little walking bridge right then going to drift wood beach I fish there all the time
Cool, thanks. Is that the one that goes over the creek?
Headshake = shark or big fish. If it doesn't shake and just runs or sets there like ur hung up its a really big sting ray
