NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she had a very successful tour in Canada and Europe. I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was spectacular as always. On April, May, June 2023 she had again some wonderful concerts in Tbilissi, Georgia, then in Ouzbekhistan, Kazakhstan, Romania. In 2024 she completed another popular tour in eastern europe (Czech Republic, Moldavia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkiye, Hungary) and in Canada She also appeared as a guest in some big events such as Hauser’s concert in Royal Albert Hall (May 9th 2024). She just released her new album titled "Je suis là" on November 29, 2024 It's packed with gems, the 2 songs that were disclosed earlier ("Ta peine", "Je t'ai cherché") are successes in France. She will start a tour in France and Belgium in fall 2025, it will last until Spring 2026, as new dates have just been added (the venues were fully packed). And she had quite a few TV Shows in France and Quebec: she is the most demanded vocal coach there, for The Voice, The Voice Kids, Star Academy Quebec, Star Academy France, DreamTeam (France), .... She just won The Voice Kids France this year as a coach for instance. She is completely passionate with transmitting to vocal students, and absolutely amazing in unlocking their artistic and vocal abilities. She just announced she will open a new vocal school in Italy in 2026. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
Thanks for your heartfelt reaction, but above all thank you for bringing Lara on my timeline. This entire “From Lara With Love” is exceptional, almost every song a masterpiece. But just about every LIVE performance of Lara is outstanding, so you can't go wrong.
I think you can never prep yourself enough to see Lara perform. No matter what you do. She just takes you away from this world with her singing and being. Just go with it. I don't think she was in the verge of tears or cracking, she is just that good to live in the song and handle the vocals and keep it together. There is performances out there where she clearly is almost crying or really crying when she is singing. But her vocals here are just deliberate every possible way and planned to dive deep into the song and it's motion. And that she does just incredibly masterfully. No one can do that better. When you have that amount talent in singing you don't have to concentrate on your vocals, you can just feel and bring the emotion from the lyrics and song to the listener. And that is the big thing that seperates Lara from nearly everybody else. (In my opinion from everybody) Cheers! TTKing from Finland

Excellent reaction, enjoyed all your comments !!! Lara is a complete artist, the way she conveys the emotion of the song, her superb vocals, her stage presence!! Please react to more of Lara.
“Je suis Malade”, now a french classic, was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and composed the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet during his own Paris concert in January 1995. It was a triumph. So he sat in a front row seat and asked her to sing it again alone. Lara also had made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power. Serge and Lara became good friends and performed several other duets later on. The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) ua-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/v-deo.html is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries. The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella. Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic ua-cam.com/video/SyILdRAOS88/v-deo.html

To witness Lara's talent as an actress in a breathtaking performance, you have to listen to her rendition of “Yentl medly » (live Centre Molson, Montreal 1997)
I've been listening to a lot of reactions to Lara Fabian's Je suis malade and you are the very FIRST one to mention the (absolutely gorgeous) arrangement to this song, which is undeniably a contributing factor to the success of this legendary performance. Bravo Sir!
🇨🇦 I am pleased to see that you are aware of all the comments by Eric Sicard, our resident Lara Fabian expert ! Go back as well, to your previous reactions to Lara, and read Eric's comment(s) ! 🇨🇦
You have discovered the very beautiful, very strong but always velvety voice in her entire 4.2 octave range of Lara Fabian .... Emotional singing, endless breath control, clear singing, effortless singing without strange faces etc etc ... Always a joy to listen to and watch all day long. An underrated pop singer especially in the US who is mentioned in vocal power in the row with Withny, Celine and Mariah
Actually I discovered her over four years ago. My first reaction to her was when I reacted to Ti Amo Cosi when she was with Dimash and Aida while my first reaction to her singing solo was over a year ago. But I'm back listening and reacting to her more regularly for you guys.
For storytelling Requiem pour un fous with Johnny Haluday. Tango from 2003. The pared down version of Je suis malade in the En toute intimité concert. Same song, completely different.
No, have to disagree at the end when you say that she is still in character. No, I've been following Lara over 20 years and can tell you that especially in this performance as most, Lara leaves her soul on the floor. She gives it her all, she was emotionally spent. She is shaking, you can see 2 women on the side of the stage starting to come out to her to see if she is ok. This is Lara Fabian is. A singer that sings with a " tragedy" like tone and puts real emotion into everything she does. Her 1999 self titled album LARA FABIAN is so amazing from beginning to end. You must do a deep dive into this. Broken Vow is on this record and she wrote this amazing song that has been covered by many including Josh Groban.
@@Joseph-f9m7s I said that already. Had you watched any further (less than 30 seconds further), you'd hear me say, "She committed so much emotion that she struggled to come out of it at the end." So while I started with that, I wound up saying it affected her like you mentioned. Please make sure you keep watching next time because I DID see and say what you mentioned in your comment.
@MadMusician OK, I did watch and listen and you did say at least twice that she stayed in character. Most reviewers cut off that very last part with Lara shaking. But it's from her being physically wiped out and it happens enough that the 2 gals started heading her way.
The queen of vocals! Lara is unique in her voice and ability to emote. With Lara being the queen, Emma Kok might be the princess. Please take a look at this young Dutch girl with an amazing backstory. Her ability to communicate at such a young age is astonishing. Her backstory is explained by the conductor prior to song. Make sure to include this introduction if you're going to do a reaction: 'Voilá': ua-cam.com/video/KdIhq1tb8Co/v-deo.htmlsi=5zlB09l_Y19T0E3Z
I have seen reactions with supposedly more “experienced” vocal coaches and you have gotten more of Lara’s passionate singing and her character or storytelling from you, than many others, specially on this song. I cant remember a single performance by Ariana but Lara’s performance of this song keeps me watching it. Thank you, i appreciate you. Youth and wisdom are mutually existing in you. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise.
Sorry for my english, I'm French. Welcome in the world of Lara Fabian ! Thanks for your reaction. I invite you to see (and hear) some of other song with her : - In the same concert, (From Lara with love), "Adagio", - Again in the same concert, (From Lara with love), "Caruso", - for me, even if this is not the title where she shows all her vocal technique, it is the most émotional : Je t'aime - Live in Paris, 2001, - Lara Fabian & Johnny Hallyday - Requiem pour un fou (Live 1998 - Stade de France) I will follow you and watch if you react some of them. Thanks in advance if you do so (really sorry for my bad english ;) )
I liked your reaction. One thing I would like to say is that, when you have this good a song, you can take more back and more often while you analyse. But good ,yes.
The song was not written by or for her originally, the music was written by Alice Dona, the lyrics were written and the song was performed by a French male singer, Serge Lama, in 1973, so 27 years prior. So this is all Lara using her incredible powers of interpretation and vocals to take this song to a whole new level.
Lara's concerts have been and will continue to be a benchmark for the French-speaking world. This is one of my favourites "En toute intimité" Full English translation For our English-speaking friends ua-cam.com/video/NMHym4N4UXo/v-deo.htmlsi=W2NtNDdaIQCznKQy This concert has it all The quality of the image Lara's incredible voice Fabulously performed, intimate music And full English translation as close as possible to the lyrics This concert is Lara's soul A must-see

Caruso, mate, by Lucio Dalla, which you've no doubt heard sung by a million tenors. None of them, not even Pavarotti, tell the story of the song, nor invest it with so much yearning and pathos, as does signora Lara. And her Neapolitan Italian is salty-smooth as a fresh anchovy. Incredible. You have been warned.
She had a good and bad relationships with her father.. but doesn’t everyone. Anyway he brought her to cabarets ( bar ) sis she could sing with him ( him playing the guitar). Did you know that her father use to be a musician with Petula Clark.
🫶🏻 PLEASE, give your professional insights on; (1) You’re Not From Here - From Lara With Love (2) Adagio - From Lara With Love (3) Broken Vow - From Lara With Love (4) I Guess I Loved You - 4K Un Regard 9 (5) Je t’aime - World Music Award
I already have Adagio filmed so you'll see that after Mademoiselle Hyde (which is next). And MAD appreciation for saying "professional insights," cuz that just made my day. 😊
Great reaction 👍 I agree with Je t'aime from World Music Awards 1999. (And the other suggestions) And after that you can watch Je t'aime Neu France 2001 but not before. Trust us 😉
No, this song was not written for her, it was co-written by Serge Lama who was going through exactly what she describes here. Here's the original: ua-cam.com/video/CHOcuP0gUR0/v-deo.html
"Adagio" by Lara Fabian is a reinterpretation with her text adapted to the canticle of this simple baroque movement (from the Latin "ad agio" later "adagium" - with ease and slowness) that comes from an Italian Venetian composer, Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni (Venice, 1671). Sacred monster in Italy and in the world. Having said that, if Lara has ever amazed you with her technique and vocal range, I assure you she will shock you here. He wrote it in Italian but sang it in various languages including English which I'm linking for your convenience. Greetings from Italy and happy listening, sure of your next review very soon. ua-cam.com/video/jKtNuLG5jAo/v-deo.html
You're doing good on reacting on Lara. However you always stop the video while she is building up the best of her singing performance. Maybe let the artist sings to the end and do your reaction. We want to feel the same thing you felt when you were hearing the artist. You're amazing while talking and commenting on the song and the artist. Let us see what you see and understand your feelings. Thank you!
@@lelemaruhi3029 First of all, THANK YOU for saying this not just respectfully but also in the nicest way possible. Very few people are respectful about it, let alone as polite as possible about it like you were, so I commend and thank you for that. Unfortunately, I will not wait until the end. Usually because copyrighted content isn't usually caught by the algorithm if I continue to pause it and talk on it, therefore more likely I will get revenue from the video. Second reason being I just don't want to be controlled to that extent to make everyone happy; it just puts an unpleasant pressure on me to do something that makes no sense for the structure of the reaction itself. I want to break it down as we go as all other coaches do and not leave all that at the end. It just makes the video too long and less linear. I hope that makes sense. I appreciate any amount of understanding you have for me on this decision.
@@Flum666 Get outta here with that crap! Show me you can sing at all and I'll take your comment seriously. If not, shut it or I'm removing you from the comments section

In 2024 she completed another popular tour in eastern europe (Czech Republic, Moldavia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkiye, Hungary) and in Canada
She also appeared as a guest in some big events such as Hauser’s concert in Royal Albert Hall (May 9th 2024).
She just released her new album titled "Je suis là" on November 29, 2024
It's packed with gems, the 2 songs that were disclosed earlier ("Ta peine", "Je t'ai cherché") are successes in France.
She will start a tour in France and Belgium in fall 2025, it will last until Spring 2026, as new dates have just been added (the venues were
fully packed).
Lara is on another level vocally...thanks great reaction appreciate you❤
Thanks for your heartfelt reaction, but above all thank you for bringing Lara on my timeline.
This entire “From Lara With Love” is exceptional, almost every song a masterpiece.
But just about every LIVE performance of Lara is outstanding, so you can't go wrong.
I'm going to her concert in december 2025 in Brussels/Belgium, where she grew up. It was already sold out now, can you imagine? She's só good!
Lucky you! Enjoy!!!
Amazing performance ❤❤beautiful, magical voice ❤❤beautiful Lara ❤❤
😍 Queen Lara! That was a great reaction. Thank you very much.
Lara Fabian is, by far, the most talented singer who ever lived.
Ok in terms of acting and storytelling skills, I would recommend :

Excellent reaction, enjoyed all your comments !!! Lara is a complete artist, the way she conveys the emotion of the song, her superb vocals, her stage presence!! Please react to more of Lara.

Lara Fabian la mejor... Diosa de diosas...❤
The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal)
ua-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/v-deo.html
is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries.
The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella.
Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic

Enjoy!
For me , you can see her acting skills in the song Broken Vow.
Which is her favourite by the way.
Excelente reacción!❤
Three other masterpieces: "Caruso", "Adagio" and "Broken vow"...
@MadMusician Anyway, I just found your channel and appreciate your take overall. Nice job.
Make sure to include this introduction if you're going to do a reaction:
'Voilá': ua-cam.com/video/KdIhq1tb8Co/v-deo.htmlsi=5zlB09l_Y19T0E3Z
Don't judge the term vocal coach when I am one technically, even if I'm starting out.
I invite you to see (and hear) some of other song with her :
- In the same concert, (From Lara with love), "Adagio",
- Again in the same concert, (From Lara with love), "Caruso",
- for me, even if this is not the title where she shows all her vocal technique, it is the most émotional : Je t'aime - Live in Paris, 2001,
- Lara Fabian & Johnny Hallyday - Requiem pour un fou (Live 1998 - Stade de France)
I will follow you and watch if you react some of them. Thanks in advance if you do so (really sorry for my bad english ;) )
She is so amazing! ❤😮
Amazing performance by fabulous Lara!!. Great reaction and analysis!!. 🙋🇦🇷
Beautiful storytelling
I liked your reaction. One thing I would like to say is that, when you have this good a song, you can take more back and more often while you analyse. But good ,yes.
Lara Fabian - Ave Maria

Love Lara ❤
Love from Denmark ❤
The song was not written by or for her originally, the music was written by Alice Dona, the lyrics were written and the song was performed by a French male singer, Serge Lama, in 1973, so 27 years prior. So this is all Lara using her incredible powers of interpretation and vocals to take this song to a whole new level.
Lara's concerts have been and will continue to be a benchmark for the French-speaking world.
This is one of my favourites

It's a song made and sing originaly by Serge Lama, a part of he's story in 1973
❤❤
Lara Fabián eres ... MARAVILLOSA, INIGUALABLE.💜💚💜🌟✨💥💥✨🌟😊
Forestella’s version of this song is a must see. They are a crossover quartet. So expect it to be different. But they are phenomenal.
❤
There are still a few great singers in the world Then, there is Lara, who takes the win for the entire universe.
Caruso is a must. And her rendition of Yentl medley is a masterpiece as well
It's good to remember that Fabian comes from Francophone Chanson tradition. Like Brel Aznavour, Ferré, Piaf. Song stories with spoken parts.

Ya NO soy así, así que POR FAVOR, tenlo en cuenta si vas a explorar.
Gracias por su apoyo. Te lo agradezco.
This performance by Lara is remarkable.... For story telling you should try "Ren - Hi Ren" performed live... but make sure you go in blind!
Bro, react to adagio from Lara
@@sbtngtz Already filmed and will roll out in the next few days
She had a good and bad relationships with her father.. but doesn’t everyone.
Anyway he brought her to cabarets ( bar ) sis she could sing with him ( him playing the guitar).
Did you know that her father use to be a musician with Petula Clark.
Song was written by Serge Lama many years ago about his extramarital affair....
🫶🏻 PLEASE, give your professional insights on;
(1) You’re Not From Here - From Lara With Love
(2) Adagio - From Lara With Love
(3) Broken Vow - From Lara With Love
(4) I Guess I Loved You - 4K Un Regard 9
(5) Je t’aime - World Music Award
I already have Adagio filmed so you'll see that after Mademoiselle Hyde (which is next). And MAD appreciation for saying "professional insights," cuz that just made my day. 😊
Great reaction 👍
I agree with Je t'aime from World Music Awards 1999. (And the other suggestions)
And after that you can watch Je t'aime Neu France 2001 but not before. Trust us 😉
Now listen to this song done by the Korean quartet called Forestella.... Even more impressive!

You need to compare this to the original version by Serge Lama.
Un altra canzone cantata da lei si intitola caruso, canta in italiano!
