Azul: Solo Play

Well, hello strangers! I wanted to try out a solo variant for Azul and thought I'd take you along with me. This rule set was made by BBG user GameRulesforOne and you can find a link to them here: boardgamegeek....

Travel tip for Azul. Throw your ROUND discs, the tiles into the cloth bag. Then photocopy the player boards in colour and FOLD up the paper and throw those into the bag. Fits nicely in the suitcase. The "boards" only last a year or two. But make a few copy each vacation. We use dimes for scoring markers. You can even photo copy the ROUND discs if you are worried about them getting damaged.

kind of a cheater there. cant break up tiles in the regular game. all the tiles you pick in a turn have to go to the same row or be put into the penalty boxes. cant split them up. or do the homebrew solo rules change that rule?

Are you sure you can place the same color tiles in two different rows? See 20:44 - 20:45, snowflake tiles. Also, when you count the tiles around the no1 tile, do you count the No1 tile or just the tile you place around (so max 2 points vertically or horizontally)?
