RIP Roger. It’s amazing how, at that age, he is so deliberate and well spoken. He never stumbles over words, never uses filler words like “um” or “uh”, and doesn’t even have to stop and remember any of what he’s talking about. His memory is so vivid and he remembers the name of all his collaborators from half a century ago.

All the things he could have done with his next picture, and he fought to bring the works of Edgar Allen Poe to a new audience. That’s awesome. And as others have pointed out, I could listen to this man speak his very thoughtful and active mind all day.

Taking nothing from Corman's 50's jewels - but I ultimately dug the Poe series - loved all of them.

I love Roger...grew up loving his movies. Today Stan Lee, someone I loved & admired & was a major part of my childhood also, passed away. Stick around, Roger. God it sucks getting old!

I would loved to have worked with that man. A Poe aficionado.
Poe was doing Freud's later work in his literature and poems more than twenty years earlier.

Between Ligeia and House of Wax. it's clear Vincent Price had no fear of fire. Corman & Price, for the win.

I wish some one would pick up the Poe baton from Mr corman and make some films along his lines.
Not some recent tripe I saw recently depicting poes life -but a return to the true gothic sense of his work.
    Roger corman - Legend.

I love how Roger just casually mentions that Nicholas Roeg did the job of camera man for him when in England.

Who choses the film clips that are supposed to support Roger's comments? Strikes me that whomever it was on this particular project it was someone asleep at the wheel: When Roger talks about the scope of the production he was able to achieve in England using the flats from (either) BECKET or A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, the clips chosen show some of the least interesting shots that were photographed in some of the smallest sets that were utilized in these films. The LIGEIA clip really only shows statues burning instead of some of the huge and spectacularly ornate sets that were among the visual highlights of the film. I find this very strange.
