I love Vincent Price! He was my next door neighbor. His daughter; my friend. He taught me how to tell a moonstone from another rock walking on the beach one day.
I am a certified fan of Vincent Price's work, and my favorite movies, of course, are, "The Invisible Man", "House of Wax", "House on Haunted Hill, "The Tingler", "Theatre of Blood", "The Indomitable Dr. Phibes franchise, all of his Edgar Allen Poe movies, and his last movie, "Edward Scissorhands" (even though he had a very small role in the movie but his character as the inventor made quite a lasting impression in the storyline of Edward himself). Great video on his life! He was a very gifted, and versatile actor, as well as a culinary food, and art entrepreneur.
I have all of his films and I am so Happy my Birthday is the same as his he was a true Master of Horror and really put Edgar Alan Poe's stories to life.🥰😍🤩
One could always recognize his persona. A very unique actor with an expertise exhibited in his roles! I learned so much more frequently m this publication!❤😊
My favorite movie of Vincent Price has to be "House of Wax." Those wax figures looked so real! Price was a very talented man and his demise left some big shoes to fill... 🙏 RIP VINCENT PRICE 🙏

I am a diehard fan of Vincent Price and I love everything he does in movies. From Dragonwyck, to Laura, and Leave her to Heaven are some of the greatest movies ever made. He was subjected to so much fire in his movies that it had to affect his lungs and his voice as well. May he rest in peace and be happy in his new state. ❤
He was a great actor and loved everything I seen him in! But the music video for RATT on MTV was the most fabulous thing I ever seen him in! He is greatly loved and missed❤
I don’t think there was any ONE movie I could put above another, because Vincent Price was fantastic in all of them! But the one I watch the most featured Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre, and A very young Jack Nicholson. It was probably the closest to comedy that Price ever played in a movie role, which oddly Price loved doing comedy. He appeared on many variety shows, such as Red Skeleton’s comedy show. He was good at comedy too. There was only one other movie that was not horror, and it was later on in Price’s career. It starred Betty Davis as well. I want to say it was the Whales of Autumn. A very unassuming movie, but if you watch it, you will be drawn in by the acting of all those who starred in it. A talent that shall be missed for sure.
@@FactsVerse it is hard to single out just one performance. I’m very partial to The Raven, as I mentioned before, but even so, Price was more comical in that role. The House on Haunted Hill was a very simple suspense movie that I think Price did well in. I think The House of Wax probably was the pinnacle of Price’s career. He played the part well, and had us believing he was a well adjusted person, until the very end. Another favorite moment was in The Wine Tasting, with Peter Lorre. This little vignette of a story is whimsical, and very out of the box for Price, but he paired well with Lorre, who had been in many comical movies. The expressions Price made as he samples the wine are pretty much Priceless (oh please pardon the pun). You have to take into account that it wasn’t just Price’s ability to act, but his voice, which could recite stories and have you in the grips of every word. There will be none like him again.
The role that introduced me to Vincent Price as a child was as the narrator on the Canadian semi-educational children's show "The Hilarious House of Frightenstein", where he introduced the various segments and appeared in the show opening and closing, prior to the credits.
Fun stuff, thank you so much for sharing your life story. We're very happy to know that you had a chance to meet Vincent's daughter. Which of his roles appealed to you the most?
Parkinson's disease, emphysema and COPD. Lifelong smoker. Am so proud of him for joining PFLAG, (had a lesbian daughter) and speaking up about AIDS in a compassionate way (when Ronald Reagan wouldn't). 🏳️🌈
How can you speak about Vincent price and not even mention his top notch Hollywood career with pivotal roles in 'Laura', 'Leave Her to Heaven', Song of Bernadette, The Keys of the Kingdom and many more. Not to mention several films with friend Bette Davis. I love how he camped it up and did the horror movies and Roger Corman Poe movies and had fun all the way.
"The mask of the Red Death" is my favorite Movie of Vicent Price. You did not mention that he was the voice in Micheal Jackson's "Thriller", which is where a lot of young people may know him from today.
Vincent Price was a great actor and I love house of wax but did you know that in beach party he played Big Daddy and his line was bring me my pendulum kiddies I feel like swinging
Although it was a most predictible movie, House Of Wax was my favorite. Didn't really like his guest appearance on Brady, as that part could have been played by anyone & with the constant reruns of it, younger fans will most likely remember him best for that without ever seeing The House On Haunted Hill...
@FactsVerse That movie is one of my all-time favorites. The man who wrote the story was Franz Werfel. He was a Jewish man who survived the Holocaust with the help of the priests in the Lourdes Shrine, in France. He promised God that if he survived that he would make the movie about the life of St. Bernadette. He kept his promise and made the movie The Song of Bernadette. Thousands of pilgrims visit Lourdes on a daily basis for prayer and healing.
When a child dies, it’s tragic. When a respected , successful actor/author dies at a relatively old age ( who didn’t smoke way back when?), it’s the end of a good life. This station describes every death as tragic. Tiresome.
How about Dracula? Bela Lugosi in 1931 and 3 more, I think, and Christopher Lee doing Horror of Dracula in 1957 plus seven more for Hammer films in England ... @@FactsVerse
Vincent's 1st job was teaching the English stage production cast of "Chicago" how to chew gum and talk at the same time. He was the son of a candy maker and chewing gum was more popular in the United States.
I just recently acquired his daughter's (Victoria Price) book, "Vincent Price: A Daughter's Biography." Vincent lived in Saint Louis, Mo., my home for the last 72 years.
Vincent Price stole every scene he was ever in, IMO. My favorites include The House on Haunted Hill, as well as guest star roles in Columbo and even The Brady Bunch. A true legend! ❤
@bonnirose7479 Ohhhhhhhh...yes he did. A Greatttt legend! Miss just seeing him on TV. He was ALWAYZZZZ a Special Guest on multiple game shows, special shows and just show shows. I miss Vincent and allllllll of the old timers. Thank-you for this very much.
At age 77, I first saw Vincent Price, at age 5, in 1951, when my local theater re-ran his 1939 movie, "The Invisible Man Returns"! It was new to me & was scary for a kid! With his numerous "horror" films of the late 1950's & 60's, he continued to entertain audiences for decades! Few remember that he also had a successful radio career, playing Simon Templar, as "The Saint"! He was truly an eclectic individual who deserves to be remembered for his many & varied interests, other than just horror films!
I have never liked any, any horror...but Vincent was full of high quality and intergriry. He was what America used to be in film & entertainment! Thank-you for this very much.
I recently learned that Raymond Burr was Gay, Today I find out about Vincent Price! It really doesn't matter to me. I still respect both of these men and admire their talents.
He was a wonderful actor. I watched him in all his movies. I never got to sè him on stage. But I'm sure he was super. Thank you for more wonderful memories ❤️
Some important things left out of this video. Vincent Price's best work was as a serious actor was in the films he did before he went into horror movies. His most acclaimed role was starring in Dragonwyck in 1946. Vincent himself said that the type of men Hollywood was looking for was changing to actors like Paul Newman and Steve McQueen and he was worried he wouldn't be able to get work. He always worried about money, so he went into horror flicks, where he knew he could make a good living for a long time. His passion was art and he spent a significant amount of money on his collection.
He was great in the movies House Of Wax , House Of Ushers plus his last first before his death Edward Scissors hand though it was a small part it was really cool . But his best film was the 10 Commandments with Charlton Heston , Yvonne DeCarlo
One of my favourite shows is the Hilarious House of Dr. Frightenstein. He agreed to go to Hamilton Ontario and they filmed a few seasons all at once, the intro is iconic with his wonderful laugh.
Vincent Price was one of the greatest actors ever... and he was a gourmet chef as well, I used to watch his cooking show on KCET Los Angeles, Cooking Price wise 👍

That voice! That smooth swagger! The evil yet surprised look! He sure set my life on a road of Horror and Scary that I continue on today. I loved him in everything he did. My favorite role is House of Usher,House of Wax and The Fly. Hard to choose because they’re all great. If they put him in a skirt and propped him in a corner Vincent would make it the role of a lifetime. He could take the worst movie and play it to the bone. But of course, my favorite of all is the song Thriller he did with Micheal Jackson. Those few lines and maniacal laughter just oozes horror. It gave the song the push it needed to go where no other song had gone before or since. It was a great song but with Vincent’s participation it was BIG TIME! Still love it. Micheal was a genius to use Vincent for that part of the song. A great collaboration. Yes, Vincent Price will not be easily forgotten my fellow horror buffs. Love him. ❤
❤ I loved his spooky movies nd he was a great actor it is sad that he never won an award for his acting career . They should give him an honorary award for his acting. He deserves it.
Now, what a Super super star...loved the Edward Scissors Hand...still so great...just was so stunned when we lost him...loved house of Wax...and EggHead in the Batman Series so in Dearing of an Acyor..Victoria. great respect for Father from my time in the Industry...Prayers and praises...miss your acting Vincent, now the Angel's Have your talent rest in peace..🙏💖🇺🇸🙏
Vincent is my favorite horror actor of any generation. Knowing he and Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were great friends places all three at the pinnacle of the genre. He was a true connoisseur of food and art. He and Agnes Moorehead (Bewitched) were fast friends and I always wondered if there was more there as they 'vacationed' often. I certainly hope so. Rest in peace Mr. Price, Sir Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Ms. Moorehead. Such a grand gathering on the other side of the veil.
Does anyone know the name of an early 1960s movie that had two or 3 different horror stories. I remember a woman in a library looking through old newspapers about a killer in the 1920s. Suddenly the lights are out, the doors are locked and she is alone. She looks out the window and the cars and people's clothes are 20s style. Then the killer is in the library. I'm watching Twice told Tales with Vincent Price which reminded me of it.
Terrible overview of Vincent Prices life. No mention of movie “Song of Bernadette”, no mention of his friendship with Christopher Lee, etc, no mention of his opening bible quote for British metal band Iron Maiden’s 1981 landmark album and title song, “ Number of the Beast”, which birthed a whole new genre of metal music! No mention of his intro to Michael Jackson’s landmark album, “ Thriller”, in 1984, which set records yet to be broken and won all sorts of awards. No mention of his faux British accent! He was a great actor, art collector and very approachable. My dad and I had lunch/ dinner with him over the years. He was a very knowledgeable and sincere man.
@chrisjohnston, correct you are! Tim Blane, the narrator, must get his "FACTS" from the bowels of social media; Price was a scholar at Yale, and had a reported IQ of 130. Mr. Blane chooses to sensationilize death, and although Price suffered for years from COPD, it was lung cancer that actually took his life.
He is a great actor, his movies are one of the best ever made. his debonair, style. either horror, serious and even some of his comic side. made him one of a kind. the one that scared me the most," The Diary of a Madman". I was eight years old, alone in the living room watching. every scene was pure horror and suspenseful. Make your imagination run wild. To me that is the master at his best. TCM show a lot of his movies, I record to watch later, especially at Halloween. Great actor who is missed by my generation, I'm 63 years old. There will be another like him. Rest in Peace Mr. Price.
Sept 2024 - My fave Vincent Price movies: “The Fly” and “The Return of the Fly” co-starring David Hedison. Price’s matter-of-fact yet dramatic style made me believe deeply in the Transporter like story of, “The Fly” years before Star Trek’s Transporter device. But I also remember Price made easy to understand commercials inviting the public to purchase fine art from Sears and Roebuck and Company. Clearly we can say there will only be ONE super talented Vincent Price for eternity!
Vincent Price was a wonderful actor and a force to be reckoned with in the horror genre. He remains irreplaceable. The House on Haunted Hill and House of Wax are two favorites.
Pit and pendulum was always a favorite on Saturday morning horror films those black and white movie so scary, and let's not forget his roll in the movie "ten commandments"
Price was the ultimate. Price was classy on being the "mystery" Killer. Still miss him. No one will be able to fill his shoes yet or Future wise. "RIP" Vincent.
VP was also a wine connoisseur!!! His voice & his horror movies will remain popular… 👍👍👍👍👍 I grew up watching his horror movies!!! Loved ALL OF THEM!!! 😘😘😘😘😘

Love him. ❤
Thanks for bringing back memories. You're a true fan! May Vincent find peace. Be safe and have a great day ❤
❤ I loved his spooky movies nd he was a great actor it is sad that he never won an award for his acting career . They should give him an honorary award for his acting. He deserves it.
Us too! Thank you so much for bringing back memories. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?

@chrisjohnston, correct you are!
It's hard to mention EVERYTHING in such a short video. 😊

Vincent Price.
I thought he was a very good actor. Of the horror films mentioned, I have all but one on dvd. It was a sad day when he died.

"Vincent Price’s Cause of Death Was Utterly Tragic"
What a horribly exploitive, unnecessarily 'claickbaity' title.
Thumbs down for that alone . . .
He lent his voice to Scooby Doo:13 Ghosts 👻 and he was on The Love Boat 🚢 The Muppet Show, The Brady Bunch and F-TROOP
He actually died on October 25 (my bday) not the 15th. Love Vincent price, masque of red death is my favorite
Why are you using Fox news people in the thumbnail???
🤔 Would you prefer NBC news people , or maybe ABC, CBS ?.....
@@alancrisp1582 🤜🤛 😊
There shouldn't be anyone other than the subject of the clip. There is obviously a conscious effort to promote Fox News.
Loved him
