I have both a Diamond ring and moissanite ring.. I wear the Diamond when my husband and I go out and dress up. But for daily wear. It’s the moissanite.. Truthfully you go with your budget. Both are beautiful and both will last a lifetime..
I would definitely go with a Moissanite over a diamond. Young couples starting out or those that will strap themselves with high payments could use the money better elsewhere. A ring that costs thousands doesn't mean you love someone more.
Truth is I thought the Moissanite was the real diamond. I actually prefered the Moissanite ring when shown side by side...They look extremely similar to me, indistinguishable really... Thanks for sharing
Thanks my guy! Wife lost her original diamond wedding ring that I paid $850 for 15yrs ago and was thinking about going with one of these moissanite stones this time around. I've been researching and was so glad to run across your video!
I don’t know if you replaced it yet but after months of research I got one through Charles and Colvard (they are also on Amazon but I went through the website to get an **exact** replica of my diamond. Right down to the decimal in the carat weight. I get more compliments on the Moissanite than I ever do on my diamond. I have a 3.04 ct emerald cut hidden halo solitaire with a platinum band. Diamond $: $38,500 the same ring in Moissanite? $2,900.
Really enjoy your videos , this is great to see both next to each other from a regular person other than a professional Moissanite dealer ! Very cool ! I know many couples today are saying no to diamonds and going with this new gem instead and saving their money for other things they want ! I say to each their own , at the end of the day , earth diamond , lab diamond or Moissanite won’t Hold a marriage together ! As long as you are marrying your best friend for life , that’s what truly matters !
I have had Moissanite for a long time, and really like it. What I liked about your comparison is the band on the Moissanite ring looked more substantial than the diamond ring bands.
The honest reality is, a moissanite ring set in sterling silver, is a forever piece of jewelry. It will last a lifetime. Highly auspicious for a marriage.
The diamond doesn't look 80x nicer since it's 80x the cost, but I do think the finer band looks a little better. It's striking how close they are in overall vibe
I just purchased a few Moissanite rings from Temu in silver...they are amazing. Can't tell the difference from a diamond. Beautiful sparkle and holding up very well. Love it!!
What's strange is that setting on the Moissanite has the same setting with the prongs as Doveggs and when I go to the brand he bought this one from they don't show that setting? The only company I've seen carrying that type of setting with the solitaire is just Doveggs? I wish I could find others for a better price!!
I just bought a moissanite ring in silver for a travel ring. I plan on wearing my diamond a lot, especially since it will be a bezel set and comfortable, however I won’t be traveling out of the country or anywhere I would want to leave it in the hotel room hence the travel ring. I wanted moissanite since it’s a real stone that will stay beautiful unlike CZ
4:03 bro your comparing it to a completely different cut, all jewelers know different cuts perform differently, some better then others, for example the marquise cut, when in light the refraction from the stone make it look bigger then it actually is unlike somthing like a round cut
moiassanites sparcle even more than digamonds... fact! but is the cut that matters to... at the end when you had all the rings together they were all sparcling the same exept the first one, the ''emerald'' i guess fewer cuts but larger when was ''blinking'' it was exploading shadowing everything else.... so the cut is importent to....maybe even more!!... a 1 ct moiassanite ''emerald cut'' framed by some smaller round cut moiassanites would be a sight to see... a kaleidoscope of light!
Recently I lost a ring that was very special to me. I lost some weight, and the ring slipped off my finger. After that, I put my diamond solitaire engagement ring away for my daughter. I bought a lovely moissanite solitaire with a 14 k gold band I love it.
I bought the exact ring on temu for 8 dollars 😂 And it actually sets off my diamond detector 😂 And it's beautiful. It hasn't changed color I've worn it several times as my back up ring nd I have really no complaints for an it's not bad for 8 bucks.
You know the Amazon ring comes from china today I picked up a mossinate ring from alli express for 24 cdn just for laughs I will give it as a gift and see what this person says and if it’s actually sparkles we currently have choices like never before why would someone spend a fortune on a natural diamond it doesn’t make sense anymore especially when you go to resell the diamond that you will get 30 percent of it’s retail value if you’re lucky
The cheaper way would be the way to go, but what happens when the stone falls out or she wants it clean? She might have too many questions...lol. As for the video, I couldn't tell the difference.
I have had a wedding set for over 20 plus years and it never fell out. So far as cleaning they can be cleaned at home with a soft toothbrush and a gentle soap. The differences are quite obvious since the moisonnite has a much higher refractive index than a diamond so it has a rainbow of beautiful colors.
@@thexvault I so agree with you. Plus, those pretties are will become magnets for jewelry makers; they'll even make treasure bottle/vial pendants with loose moissanites.💛
The rainbows are noticeably more piercing and flashy/blinding on the diamond especially on the oval cut. It’s like oven-baked vs microwaved. Paparazzi flash vs Nokia cellphone camera flash I want the rainbows to be as bright as possible, and I’ve yet to find a channel that measures the brightness of the reflections and refractions The good news is that this camera is good enough to show you which one really does perform best which are both diamonds over the moissanite
Seems this industry is all smoke and mirrors. Hope you got something you like; there might be a difference in cut, clarity but it doesn't justify such a gap.
Sometimes, it just comes from the difference of metal and design of ring itself. As you know, silver is cheaper, but gold and platinum could be much more expensive. Also, some rings have very complicated design with many side stones while others are simple…
You have to compare the rocks in room lights, shade and shadow. It makes a huge difference. I got the same thing from Amazon, after wearing it for a few days, it looks so yellow and cheap. Can’t stand it and returned it.
There is a reason why cheap Moissanite is cheap. Check this on UA-cam, it clearly shows the reason: Vid 22- Cheap vs quality Moissanite side by side. The ultimate test is to look at your Moissanite in an elevator with ceiling spotlights!!!
That is incorrect. Moissanites and diamonds have different chemical compositions. Lab diamonds and mined diamonds have EXACTLY the same chemical composition. Their only difference is that one takes 2 million years to grow in the earth and the other takes 3 weeks to grow in a lab.
Keep in mind, If something seems too good to be true, it probably is not. Cheap Moissanite can lack the clarity, color and strength of a quality name brand Moissanite gem. They may also lack the proper cut that allows the light to enter the stone and disperse with the optimal sparkle that quality Moissanite is known an loved for. “Cheap” Moissanite is a lower grade and doesn’t measure as strong on the MOH’s scale. The strength of a stone determines it’s durability, it’s ability to withstand chipping, scratching and breaking. As well, we have heard from a few Moissaniite suppliers that not all of these Moissanite stones register 100% silicon carbide. This would also affect the durability and the color. Even if the stone looks the same in the beginning, it could discolor over time which won’t happen in genuine quality Moissanite. I recommend a reparable company if you want a quality Moissanite stone.
People DO KNOW nobody should ever play a Moissanite as a diamond, I can tell from driving the opposite direction when a mama has a moissy rock on hand flashing it through the windshield lol no just no wearing “the new cubic zirconia” is okay but pretending it’s a diamond is crazy. It feels like cubic zirconia or Swarovski, it doesn’t FEEL like a diamond. I’ll just buy one of these to make a video of picking the diamonds out with closed eyes because I really think we can FEEL which is gemstone and which is man made
RIGHT! I have an equivalent to a 3ct Mossanite solitaire (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE) and I can see it sparkling in the window reflection when I park in front of a store LOL. I love how my stone sparkles like crazy... It is a beauty.
Moissanite occurs in nature they come from meteorites. They have such a limited quantity in nature so they grow them in a lab. They are exactly the same chemical, optical, and physical properties of the ones that the earth makes. The only difference is where they were born.

Love the idea of a back up option for sport, nature etc. great idea
The moissanite stone and the setting are prettier 😍!

new = always looks good even if its CZ, 1 year old = you'll see if it's legit amazing or not, if it go cloudy, etc..
Oh and lab diamond is basically an overpriced moissanite
