Moissanite gems are AMAZING!!! I'll take a moissanite any day over a diamond because of the sparkle alone. My rings have so much sparkle, they're definitely statement pieces. It's insane that people know the negative impact diamonds have on people's lives, caused countless deaths, destroyed the environment, killed wildlife, but still think highly of diamonds SMH sad individuals. I wonder if they would still want diamonds if they were out there digging for them and/or watching their family and friends being killed over shiny rocks.

Totally team lab grown! The idea of people at this day and age still need to dig for gem stone feels so backward when we have great alternatives with zero flaws. I feel now we can focus more on good designs and pay more on the craftsmanship + detail + more sparkles!
If I were to do it all again, I would never waste money on diamonds when the alternative is so strong and beautiful!
With lab grown, there is no need to worry if it was ethically mined or not! So I will always prefer lab. Moissanite is a bonus because of the higher refraction index and affordability! :)

I love my Moissanite ring. I got married last year and have a 2 ct hearts and arrows. It’s beautiful and for the price it definitely beats a natural diamond. Plus I know it will last me a lifetime. To each their own. 💍
Hey Michael, happy 2021 btw. My thoughts are that there is nothing more disruptive than opencast Diamond mining. The only people that are really furious are companies like De Beers who have dominated the Diamond industry and inflated the price of natural Diamond with heavy marketing. De Beers now has a warehouse full of uncut stones that will depreciate in value, especially in these difficult financial Times. Personally I love Moissanite for its brilliance and durability. My favourite gemstone in my collection though is Poudretteite, not for its brilliance and durability but for its rarity and natural inclusions. Stay safe everyone. Rog from Wales U.K. 🏴.
When you buy a Diamond, the clerk at the jewelry store is going to tell you how rare and priceless the stone is. With a Moissanite, we will never run out of material to manufacture a beautiful piece of jewelry.
I’ve heard that rigmarole from old-head jewelry shop guys too and they are full of baloney. Diamonds are so rare that virtually every household has at least one…. Uh huh… Diamonds aren’t rare at all and in fact they are the most common of all the precious gems. The truth is that lab created diamonds are more rare than natural diamonds. Diamonds may be harder than moissanite, but aside from that, moissanite is a superior stone.
I have several moissanite jewelry pieces and they are absolutely more beautiful than diamond pieces that I own.
I believe people want to buy the dream of luxury attached to natural diamonds. Even if overpriced. If they were all in the same price bracket, most of the favoring would disappear.
I love Moissanites and already own some beautiful rings, after owning expensive diamonds. I must say moissanites are a beautiful gem stone and may easily outshine diamonds.

You will not be disappointed. I've been wearing my Charles and Colvard solitaire stud earrings for 18 years and absolutely adore them. Still as gorgeous as the day I bought them.
I just got a nice gold ring with Moissanite and I love it! It is beautiful, amazing brilliant and makes me so very happy!
Another reason I believe some people dislike Moissanite is that some Moissanite owners/users/sellers try to act or say that they are diamonds. I think we should say what it is and not try to pass Moissanite for what it's not and be "proud" of Moissanite, its own gem stone. I am new to Moissanite and the overall jewelry game, I have recently bought several Moissanite and Diamond pieces and I am very impressed with Moissanite. Great channel by the way!

Don't be played, Moissanite is essential better than Diamonds in every way besides Diamonds or somewhat harder. Diamonds are man made too, Moissanite is found in rocks and meteorites and just as cool as a diamond.
I think the most important reason is the use of diamonds by rich snobs as a status symbol. When it comes to snobs (of any kind) when you threaten their ability to set themselves apart from the common rabble as their better, they get upset lol. I think it is hilarious.

My main reason of loving lab-grown gems is that there are few or no environmental impact, ethical and social issues.

The intro was already incorrect. Moissanite is not a lab-grown diamond. It is a gem of its own. It is a naturally occurring stone but can also be lab grown.

@@sillyface8247 It is easy to tell the difference if one is a user of genuine diamonds, the sparkle is soothing to the eye and soul, there is a touch of Mystic in it , like demure or refine women, whereas the moissanite sparkles a lot without symmetry, just like firecrackers

I prefer moissanite than real diamonds, maybe because of the fire but large diamonds always have high value in the market so i can never dislike real diamonds too

I like lab-grown diamonds. Personally, I prefer the white fire of diamonds to the multicolored fire of moissanite.
But I don’t have a negative opinion of other people’s gemstones, because that would be ridiculous.
As for my few small “old” diamonds, I wear them for their beauty. My husband didn’t buy them as investments, he bought them for me to wear. (For ordinary people, diamonds really aren’t a sensible “investment.”)
Always mine diamonds for me. I love what the earth made. 🌎... however , at this time and age people are getting robbed like crazy and I'm very glad I can put my real jewelry away and get substitutes. Thanks.

I’m confused. I keep finding videos that say a moissanite has better sparkle than a diamond. However, the two moissanites that I’ve owned so far have not sparkled better or more beautifully than the diamonds I’ve seen in person.

So basically people are butthurt over overpaying on the most over marked up product in all of retail when 99% of them couldn't discern a moisanite from a real diamond if you paid them. I agree with the other commenter this is the reason I love them lol.
You can easily discern a diamond from a moissanite any day. One shines in rainbow colors and is more opaque white and the other shines in white light and is more transparent. In person it's obvious. I'm not saying moissanites are bad but if a person knows jewelry you can tell. Also moissanite and precious gems like sapphire can rival diamonds in price depending on quality and rarity. I've seen shitty stones and breath taking stones but let's not lie to ourselves. It is what it is.

I have a beautiful 2carat moissanite hearts and arrows engagement ring. Very beautiful and it’s 4yrs old . I don’t want to invest into natural diamond bcoz when husband or lover separated he or she will sell her ring have of the original price of the ring .

Moissanite can look hazy and milky at times, some of the facets look like shards sometimes. I even have a “crushed ice” Moissanite. It looks nice when freshly cleaned but not as pretty as a diamond.

I totally agree. I hate having to scrub the moissanite down every other day. It takes little effort to clean my diamonds and a pain to clean the moissanite. Mine also gets a rainbow stain in the facets that always comes back and make it look dull and ugly. Wanted to love it but that was the buzz killer.

You should not experience this with moissanite… even the popular more pricey Moissanite on the market aren’t the best quality. I hope you get to experience the true beauty of moissy you should not have to clean it the way you describe at all.
Maybe you got a bad quality moissante or a cubic zirconia trying to pass as a moissante? but I can go a year without cleaning mines and it wont even loose its sparkle.

That depends on the diamond alternative.... I wear my moissanite earrings 24/7 and they sparkle no matter how dirty they get. I remember to clean them about once a year, lol. It depends in the lab creating them. Charles and Colvard are stunning quality.

I don't like the flashiness of Moissanite, it looks fake. Diamonds generally keep and sometimes increase in value over time (depending on quality) - I don't think the same can be said of Lab-grown diamonds or Moissanites. Personally, I prefer a small and high quality diamond to a huge low quality diamond or a huge Moissanite. Very interesting video, thank you!
Lab grown diamond are identical and in most cases better quality than natural diamond because your able to control it as a it grows and make it "perfect". If I grow an orange at home compared to one I buy at the store they are the same thing. Even better actually because im able to control the way its grown, no pestices no chemicals etc. Same for lab diamonds.

You know what’s truly the ugliest thing about moissanite? It’s cultish diamond-hating broke people that buy it. Walking around with 5 carat disco balls that cost $30 on Ali Express. Buy a decent MENÈ pure 24K gold ring to have natural healing benefits of a natural metal, wear a birthstone gemstone but synthetic bling doesn’t carry any energy emphasising signature whatsoever aside of synthetics.

Interestingly, synthetic sapphire has been around for hundread years but the natural sapphire (especially ruby) value is not decreasing. Maybe the traditionalist can feel safe because it is easier to identify synthetic sapphire than synthetic diamond.
Not all mining is unethical and not all manufacturer is conflict free. Lab created stones still require much energy and labor.
