New subscriber here, tried these tips from the last few videos and I whacked in a double bull and a 25 after just a few practices. So different to my regular stance which was riddled with bad habits. Played for fun all my life, 54 now. After lunch and dinner every day I play a few games of round the board. I throw 3 darts at each number, 3 at 25 and 3 at bull to finish. Set myself a goal a few years ago to beat 1000 points and I finally did it a few weeks ago with a 1051 total. I'll practice your methods from now on and see how I improve as it feels way more repeatable already. 👍🏻
I don't make videos but I have a tip that could help a fraction. Every once in awhile take a toothbrush and a little dish soap and wash your darts. It's always good to have a good grip and after a while the oil from your fingers will start making your dart slippery. And you will be amazed how clean they look.
Hi Dave! I have discovered your Channel some years ago. To be honest, I have tried your way several times, but you know The little Devils.. But now I will be strong! It has taken me two days to reach my normal AVG with your way and since three days I feel much better and see massive improvement! Thanks a lot!
Yep them devil's can drag you back if you let them. It usually happens when you have a falling to bits and instead of going back to basics you try new things to fix what is wrong. But it's great to hear you're back on board buddy 👍🏽
Thanks for your continuing support buddy with fellow players like you we will improve the game as we have up to now. Our game has changed massively over the last decade and i like to think i have had my part in that. I truly believe that the more players learn how to throw in consistent and accurate way the better the game /Sport will become for everyone. Cheers D Dave...
Sorry to hear you have been unwell Dave, I don't know you obviously but hope you recover well sir. As to your video I am pleased to say that lifting my elbow to be level (almost) to my shoulder gave me my first 180 after adopting this and throwing for nearly an hour using it.. Thank you sir, I hope to have many more now! Legend.. rest up Dave and thanks again.
@chelseawinners Hi Buddy Everything i teach is common sense the truth and the Darts industrial complex hate me for it because i charge nothing for it...
I outlined my foot with a piece of chalk, but if you're not on concrete you can use painters tape and stand where you stand to throw and bend down and outine your foot with painters tape. Do your toe and at least one side of your foot
Thank you for another great video. Great to see you feeling more better and looking stronger, really hope that continues. And I really hope that you can get back to the standard you were before your health problems because you can throw some darts pal, if I can get close to that standard I will be well happy..believe me. I'm sticking to the dd way and with all your training sheets.👍. Keep the videos coming buddy. Take care and I hope your health continues in the right direction 👍🎯❤️
Hi Dave, I have only been playing darts for two years now i live in Alaska USA. Approximately four years ago I was diagnosed with leukemia I use to play a lot of sports and enjoyed the outdoors. But I became quite embarrassed Dealing with the nasty side effects, as a result I quit participating in all activities and basically just stayed home doing nothing. That became quite maddening sitting around going stir crazy. I once was competitive at what ever activity I became interested in and not having the stamina to go for a long walk. One day I was scrolling through UA-cam and came across one of your dart videos and before I finished your video I was online buying darts. My first set was soft tip darts because I learned our area had many competitions and leagues and I knew I needed something positive to do in my life. Because after a week of playing I bought a steel tip board because I figured if I gat good throwing at a smaller board Ang got better than a soft tip board would be like playing yard darts and man the soft tip board was way easier during our league games. After my first winter of play I had an opportunity to play in Las Vegas against people from all over the world. Before my first day of play I was beyond nervous and was out of my element or so I thought. the night before my scheduled game I figured that I would go practice. I started practicing at 4 pm and never stopped practicing 13 hours later and the entire time I was watching your training videos. Just like I watched them several weeks prior to my Vegas trip. Dave in a million years I wouldn’t have thought it would be possible for me to do anything but learn from the better players and enjoy the trip but watching your lesson plan and many hours of hard practice in between my chemotherapy treatments and taking your lesson plans seriously in my devision I placed eighth place in 501 and 9th in cricket. Dave I’m 63 years old and had convinced myself there wasn’t anything I had to look forward to but this old fart and watching your lessons gave me something to be proud of and a reason to get up and have a purpose. So truly thank you dynamite Dave you’re content and the quality lesson plans were not just you teaching darts on UA-cam at least not to me. My cancer hasn’t gotten any better but it hasn’t gotten any worse. Im playing every hour I can in hopes of winning my local playoff matches in a few weeks and hopefully win another trip to Las Vegas again this year and I’ve improved my game quite a bit since last year. I’m staying humble and will play darts until the end but if i get to Vegas this year and I’m confident I could I’m going to buy a new set of darts my set looks like three worn out pitch forks. Hell since I’m a student or the famous dynamite Dave online dart university do you have any soft tip darts you would suggest for my second set? Any advice would be appreciated. You may never read this but thank you for doing what you do and your straight forward common sense approach you use to teach. I hope you keep up the lessons you not only gave me a solid foundation that will allow me to improve my game but more importantly giving me the confidence and motivation to never give up on myself ever again because the next true thing you love doing could be as simple as accidentally finding some guy teaching folks how to play darts. A million likes on UA-cam will never be enough so never doubt if your content has ever helped anyone because it did more than teach me the basics playing darts. And that’s all I can say god bless and ill do my best and if I do well I’ll give the best dart coach and big shout out
@akhunter06 your wrong buddy I've read it already people like you are the very reason I know I have to do this. Maybe it's a calling of sorts and I love to answer that call. Your message has had me with tears on my face if I was half as brave determined and humble as you my friend I will be a very happy man. What I want you to do is please email me at dj.llewellyn123@outlook.com I would like to buy you a set of sort tip darts and a set of steel tip to. I want to personally help you get to Vegas and if I can I will come and join you there. So contact me buddy soon as possible. All the best Dynamite Dave...
Hey everybody, Hit the Subscribe button… it’s easy to forget. I’ve been following him for two months and just realized now that I didn’t subscribe. Hey dave… love the videos. Very good explanation of the throw. I play in an “a” division. (highest division is AA.) my averages are good when I practice and Bad when I play in the league. I’m sure a lot of other people get this too. I know it’s a confidence thing and pressure on myself in myself and it throws me off. (Pisses me off too.) maybe a video touching on this would be good.
It’s a great way to throw but unfortunately it’s something I cannot do, especially the grip. Lost the top of my index finger long ago so I need and extra finger on the point. I’m massively left eye dominant to and right handed, my pull back always navigates to my left eye.
@noobztvgaming there are about 10 videos covering the mechanical throw seek them out on my channel in every one there is a slightly different approach.
Since i started finishing the DD way a while ago my average improved a hell of a lot, i stll finish the DD way and im not going back to the old way of finishing.
Also, I think people need to know if you're hitting low just by raising your arm up might not do it. Most of the problem is timing the release correctly
Ive used johnny claytons for the last 6 months or so but just moved onto pentathlon gold 24g but if you adopt the DD way you can choose the darts instead of having to look for a dart that so called right for you. I can chuck virtually any darts ive hit 180s with 50g set ups and also 12g buntings on the same day in the same session. its all about the technique and not the tungsten... D Dave...
Glad to see you back and looking decent @DymamiteDave. That's one hell of a scat so hopefully your recovery is going well 🤞🏻 Do you still offer online coaching? Been watching your videos for a while now but haven't fully committed to the DD method. You're right about it feeling a bit awkward, I still have my foot at 45° rather than at 90° and I still want to draw the dart up in front of my face, below the dominant eye, rather than to the side. I feel like everything else kinda works but I might need to suck it up and fully adopt DD way and see how i get on. I think because I'm not great anyway, I'm scared of getting even worse before I get better 😬
I aim to be back coaching some time in march buddy as for the DD way it will take time and some effort but i promise you this if you do manage it you will never go back ever...
Good to see you back Dave 🎉
A little tip 👍breathe out slowly as you throw the darts this is what you do in archery and when shooting a gun

Great to have you back DD. Love your videos. I've been playing darts for 11 months and find your videos very helpful.
Tack!
Hi Dave, Glad to see you up and around. I have been watching you now for a couple of years. I've recommended friends to your channel as well.

Dave bang on first throw bull x 2 plus 1 x 25 !
Had a go at your way again after seeing u back on UA-cam. 180 after 4 visits. It does work
It's great to have you back, mate. 💯 👊

Another fantastic insight
Hi Dave, do you have a link for the board management and practice sheets that were mentioned please.
Nice to hear you are feeling so much better.

Honestly been so worried, thank goodness you're here. Sending good thoughts!
Thanks for the tips dave, starting to see results on the body position already

Brilliant video Dave
Got the stance nailed. Took me 2 weeks to get the footlift out of my system. Now the rest

Im trying to get full understanding of the raising the arm away from the board and then bringing into line with the board
@noobztvgaming there are about 10 videos covering the mechanical throw seek them out on my channel in every one there is a slightly different approach.
Please please do another video on grip and wrist action follow through etc
@noobztvgaming well my friend it's coming and sooner than you think 🤔 poss tomorrow buddy depends on what time we get back.
Since i started finishing the DD way a while ago my average improved a hell of a lot, i stll finish the DD way and im not going back to the old way of finishing.
O YESSS its different but it works everything develops over time and new better ways come along change can be good.

Dave what grams dart you throw and brand.

Is there a link for the board management sheets? I can’t get to them on ebay. I am in the USA.
If you have an email i can send them to just do a super thanks on this video for the 25 bucks and i will email them to you buddy.
Glad to see you back and looking decent @DymamiteDave. That's one hell of a scat so hopefully your recovery is going well 🤞🏻
