Thanks for all your kind words and comments 🙏 If you're trying to improve this year and wanted to get involved in a community led online Darts League. I run a League and Monthly Comps on the link below. Be great to see you! www.dartsmatt.com/event
Thank you Clive. So good to hear people like yourself coming to back to this amazing game. Hope you pick some arrows up this year! 👍 Appreciate your kind words.
I picked up the tip of getting your stance before you pick up the dart from your video lesson with Daniel, changed my game! The scoring tips is something you pick up and learn from other players by playing comps. 122 and 128, you go 18 as well and not 20. 126 and 129 you go for 19 instead of 20 all because it gives you a chance to close with your next two darts. It will take a whole lot longer learning that on your own
Great video! Just to add to the 118 finish, pros will tend to go for the t20 first dart as they're extremely confident of hitting a treble, then it leaves 58 which is a simple single to double combo. The trouble with going the 18s route is that although 100 is undoubtedly a better finish than 98, if you hit the t18, you're then left with 64 which may only be good enough to give you a shot at the bullseye. But hey we're not pros just go whatever way makes you feel comfortable at the oche, it's by far the most important thing in darts. Keep the videos coming mate!
Thanks Nial, I did notice this at the worlds and glad you mentioned it. I'm more about giving myself less problems later in the leg as at my level you will get a chance if your neat and tidy. Totally get you though, with you and thanks for commenting
One bit of advice on counting, learn what all the triples are so that you don't have to think about it i.e. trip 19 is 57, trip 18 is 54 etc. Makes it easier to count in your head and plan out-shots. One other bit of advice, don't fall into the trap of thinking there are 'bad numbers' for you so that you avoid certain shots because you're 'bad at hitting' a required target.
Thanks for sharing mate and yes, I think again learning them is a choice that takes effort. On the mindset, spot on. Stupid thing to admit but because I'm short I thought I would always hate tops. Worked at it, now it's the go to. Get your mind out the way sometimes! Thanks for commenting mate 👍 GL with your game this year!
These are great tips. I just started taking darts a bit more seriously and building it into my routine and I’m going to try this! Thank you everyone….subbed…obviously! 🫡👍
Ah cheers, made my evening seeing this George. Thank you. I must say, I made a conscious choice to learn over the winter from watching yours, Bullhitters and content away from Darts. Not just the content but the way you have taken things like engagement, thumbnails and quality to another level in this space. They are great to watch. Would love to be on Dart Days one day 🙏 Good luck this year with all you're doing, I'll be watching, enjoying the "throw like" vids.
Love the journey and it’s turned me back into a dart player after being away for many many years. Thanks Matt. Sort of addicted now. Joined dc at the end of may24. Ended up being a top 4% of users lol. Low 60s avg and 116 t80. So thank again you’ve helped me have a get away from the every day grind. Ps learn cricket and you will find your grouping all over the board significantly improved. Leafs to way more efficient scoring in 01 games! Cheers
Stan, it's been great hearing from you throughout. We must have that game on Darts Counter soon. Haha, it's the best game in the world, glad to hear you're back enjoying it! Keep well mate 👍
Another great bit of information mate. Defo agree with getting out there you can always find someone who will give you tips and tricks it’s all about confidence don’t be afraid of losing or bad darts we all started somewhere 💪🏻🎯
Good video Matt. I take great pleasure giving my team suggestions for combination checkouts or setups from 300 down. Your 118 is your preferred way - I would personally go the 20 route as double 19 is a larger target than bullseye. Counting is a major part of the game and you only learn from playing decent opponents. Keep up the good work.
I've really enjoyed the push back on this. I actually didn't consider that "bigger target element". But you're right. For me, I will win more legs being neat and tidy in my graded league. But when up against better players this is something to think about. Thanks for sharing, cracking 🤝
Well said mate 👍, and the mats and surrounds you can get with different pegouts on, are just a basic guide for beginners for pegging out. But you did hit the nail on the head with getting into playing at your local or comp somewhere, as you won't be the only one that hits a 40avg or whatever it may be, Good job mate 😉👍👋
Hey dude. You are right and I have had some feedback about this point which has been super interesting. My only "push back" is the context. When playing people of a similar standard to me, I will win more legs being "tidy" However, if playing a better player or if my opponent is ahead at this point... It's T18, agreed.
Great tips. I’m back in the game after a 40 year break 😂. ( the littler effect). So I feel like a beginner again, just now with worse eyesight and creaking arm joints. 😂. Bought the omni scorer also as brain don’t work like it use to either, joys of getting old 😂.Will follow you now 👍🏻
Hi mate love the content! BUT 118 you must go treble 20 because single still leaves treble to double. Where if you hit treble 18 you’re left with 64 which is single to Bull. I know double 19 isn’t the greatest but it’s still a bigger target than the Bull 🙌🏻 Happy Darts mate!!
Thanks mate, yes great points, I'll just copy what I have learnt from the subscriber comments.... You are right and I have had some feedback about this point which has been super interesting. Hi Matt ... Can I ask you which counter you're using at 25" in the video? Seems like its AC powered, where all the options I already found our battery charged.
Hey dude. I am not the best at product reviews tbh. That said, I have had no issues with this board. Darts hold, it also stays in the shed which does get very cold and very hot, yet the integrity of the board is fine 👍 good luck with your new journey mate! If you did fancy getting involved in the community, my latest online darts events are here www.dartsmatt.com/event
Great tips! Daniel is the hardest man to get in touch with. I do wonder how he has a business as he never gets back to you which is a shame. How did you work on your grouping dude? I am averaging 55 but need to get up to 60-70. Thank you!
Hey mate, I know your challenges with this. Hmm... Glad you asked, I will be releasing videos soon talking about the how 👍🤝🎯 watch this space, appreciate your support mate
Hi, for me, I can play pretty well at home and with my friends, but when I go to a tournament, my arm is shaking, I have a weird feeling in my stomach.... What can I do
Hey dude, yep. Jamie (from my vlogs) literally was laughing because he could see my hand shaking. I would say, I've overcome it because of ADC. Basically, a tournament against much better players, every single week. Eventually, I hope mate you become comfortable due to so many reps. Keep me posted!
Thanks for all your kind words and comments 🙏

Mate, that's really kind to say. I try hard and whenever you hit send you get the fear. Comments like this make it worth it. Thank you!
Enjoyed this , as someone who has not played darts in over 20 years I look forward to more of these
Thank you Clive. So good to hear people like yourself coming to back to this amazing game. Hope you pick some arrows up this year! 👍 Appreciate your kind words.
Great video mate good advice for people new to the sport 🎯
Thank you to my OG!

A great way to learn those values is to learn how to play cricket and play aggressively running up the points.
the way I learned them quickly is just remembering each number down from t20 is three less, so 57, 54, 51, etc.
These are great tips. I just started taking darts a bit more seriously and building it into my routine and I’m going to try this! Thank you everyone….subbed…obviously! 🫡👍
Also learn what all the singles are....
Enjoying these Matt!👊🏻

Thanks champ, mate TBF, I wouldn't have done it as much without a push from yourself. Just GET OUT THERE AND DO IT!
Some nice content here Matt
Thanks mate, your comment led me to yours and I've subbed. Will check it out one eve 👍

Thanks mate, appreciate that. When I hit publish, the fear is real so thanks for this! Glad you enjoyed it 👍

Spot on, you definitely won't be alone or stand out 👍 Just do it ✅
In my opinion on a 118 going 18s first on your first dart is if you hit a t18 that leaves 64 potentially leaving you an harder finish on the bull.
Hey dude. You are right and I have had some feedback about this point which has been super interesting.
My only "push back" is the context.

Haha mate it's great to hear you've picked them back up. I appreciate the kind words, maybe a game one evening? What do you think of the Omni?
Hi mate love the content! BUT 118 you must go treble 20 because single still leaves treble to double. Where if you hit treble 18 you’re left with 64 which is single to Bull.
I know double 19 isn’t the greatest but it’s still a bigger target than the Bull 🙌🏻
Happy Darts mate!!

Great advice. Here's hoping your next realisation will be to put your surround and light ring on symmetrically! 😛🤣
Haha, lazy isnt it? Moving the board like that and not bothering to re-set the surround!
Ha ha. Would trigger the hell out of me, lol. Just having the branding off centre when it comes time to rotate annoys me. 🤣
Hi Matt ... Can I ask you which counter you're using at 25" in the video? Seems like its AC powered, where all the options I already found our battery charged.
Hey Dave, that was a pub venue mate for a comp. So I really don't know. Sorry I couldn't help, but I wanted to message back.
@@Darts_Matt Thanks anyway for the answer
Keep up the good darts
Seems like you are using a Samurai II board, how is it? I am a beginner and thought it maybe would be a good board to begin with.
