Hyundai has launched the new generation Verna in India. Here’s how it fares against its rivals. Also, this is how the turbo variants of the compact sedan compare against its naturally aspirated trims in terms of features. We have also detailed how the new-gen Verna is different from its predecessor.
Hyundai Verna Price: Hyundai’s compact sedan is priced from Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan India).
Hyundai Verna Variants: It is available in four broad variants: EX, S, SX and SX(O).
Hyundai Verna Boot Space: It has a boot space of 528 litres.
Hyundai Verna Colours: You can buy the new Verna in seven monotone and two dual-tone colour options: Titan Grey, Tellurian Brown, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Atlas White, Abyss Black, Starry Night, Atlas White with Black roof and Fiery Red with Black roof.
Hyundai Verna Engine and Transmission: The 2023 Verna is offered with two petrol engine options: a new 1.5-litre turbocharged engine (160PS/253Nm) paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT, and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit (115PS/144Nm) coupled with either a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
Hyundai Verna Features: It has a dual integrated screen setup (including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digitised driver’s display). The compact sedan also comes with an eight-speaker Bose sound system, switchable controls for infotainment and AC, ambient lighting, a single-pane sunroof, an air purifier and ventilated and heated front seats.
Hyundai Verna Safety: Its safety kit comprises six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and ABS with EBD. The higher variants of the new-gen Verna also come with electronic stability control (ESC), front parking sensors, all disc brakes, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system. The compact sedan also features advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) functions such as forward-collision warning, blind-spot alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.
Hyundai Verna Rivals: The new Verna locks horns with the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.

New Verna looks cool and futuristic in design. One thing I noticed is that Kia & Hyundai almost share their every elements.
Ex : Kia Carens comes with same intrument cluster as in this Verna, many many small elements I have seen both in kia also.
I know Hyundai is parent company of Kia. Still shared some noticed elements. 😊
