Thank you for taking the time to review these games and to share your thoughts to help the community! Really appreciate it. To confirm, Apiary is Connie first design. However, Stonemaier did reveal that she has at least one other project in the works with them.
Psychic Pizza sounds fun! 😁 Also, Season 3 final girl and the Krampus edition is coming to stores in the last part of 2024, right?? I can’t wait that long! 😅😱😍
I am looking into either Expeditions or Apiary. Do you feel strongly one over the other? Also, my game of the year is Star Wars deck building. I do not know why. But it gets pulled out frequently in our house.
It’s impossible for us to know which one you’d like better and making recommendations like this have not gone well in the past. There are pros and cons to both of course, I like each in their own right.
Star Trek: Ascendancy is 3p base, but you can play more than 3 with any of the additional factions. That borg expansion is... Not well-explained in its rules and not well-balanced (especially at the 2p count). The updated rules on BGG help, but arent amazing. Glad you enjoyed your play, though.
@@FostertheMeeple It's been ~2 years since I tried the Borg Expansion, so it could have also been where I was in terms of gaming and how comfortable we were at figuring out what to do from the BGG rules. I remember the Borg timing at 2 (when and where they came out) was weird, but I don't remember the details beyond that I didn't love the way the rules were explained. I do enjoy the multiplayer in Ascendancy, though, and that you can feel like you get a full game at 3.
Ra Ra Ra!! So fun playing this with you :) Really enjoyed the push your luck aspect of this too.
Thanks for the teach!! We had a blast as per usual :)

That super calm, dismissive "nope, that's Vulcan" was just spectacular 🤣
We out here!
Always a pleasure to hear the two goats talk about board games. Lots of these are on my radar, but especially Apiary and RA! Hope to play them soon
I predict you’ll enjoy both!!
Great reviews, and I appreciate the bubbles-of-transparency. 😁
I look forward to playing Ra! It's sitting on the shelf of opportunity...
What better time than now!
My game of the year is Sky Team. I crash a lot but super addicting and immediately play it again
We’ve heard it’s good!
@@FostertheMeeple I have been playing it non stop on BGA.
The slow burn in the beginning has always been my issue with Tapestry. Still love the game though.
I would say apiary isn’t quite as slow as Tapestry.
Oh I thought people thought Psychic Pizza was a dud or meh generally. But clearly not everyone!
Nope clearly not everyone!
Thanks!

This is Jeff, so I have no idea haha. Sorry!
Try Star Trek: Fleet Captains for a good Star Trek experience

When is a beard not a beard? When it's a mustache. And that's just a must ... ache.
Oh boy.

I disagree, the BGG ruleset helped a ton and was super enjoyable. But to each their own of course.

Ascendancy really needs a 2nd edition. Ideally something that drastically cuts down the time per player, and allows 4 players in the base game.
cCan the Borg defeat the Space Bees?
