It's been almost four months since my last video I already apologize for that, but I needed a great break after covering Primordial Malzeno. This + personal circumstances made the past months the right time to take a break.
But that doesn't mean I haven't been working, I just slowed way down the peace, until I find it to be the time to get back on track.
Lots of nice things happened to me and one of them is that I am officially independant as a musician! Call it artist, entrepreneur, freelancer or whatever... Anyway I am working on developing my own business for good and I can't wait to share with you some more news about it! I am also pursuing my studies by the way, which also explain why going back to school recently held me back a bit to get back here.
I might launch something new around december or march 2024 (and this concerns past and future covers) if everything goes as I want it to be (I bet not but dreaming is nice). So stay tuned! The channel also reached the 1,000 subscribers so thank you! I will certainly make a post to talk a bit more about these two things.
Going back to the music itself, I've been working on a some new covers as I said in a previous Community post, so the next videos are just around the corner! I enjoyed working on this new track from the Teal Mask but I got to say that this might be the one I am the less proud of. Not really because I don't like my work itself but because I am not as fan of this piece (and Scarlet/Violet OST overall) as I am or the previous generations. I have a feeling that the more we progress in the franchise, the more the battles OST become some kind of a "party" thing and that it lacks real tension. The intro is awesome but then the piece sounds a bit "meh" to me (and this is my favourite of all The Teal Mask's OST). I am still hoping that The Indigo Mask expansion will introduce some killer tunes nonetheless!
I tried to bring the tension up while keeping the original feel of the piece and I think it works, especially during the Encounter theme part I added. Tell me your thoughts about it!
also had to scrap some video footage due to files being corrupted and memory issues, so there's no piano nor bass in here. Definitely not my best cover nor video, it's still nice nonetheless.

I'm in love with the DLC. It's story is way better than the main story, it's characters (As in Carmine and Kieran) are way better and much less awkward than the main game characters, and it's soundtracks (Meaning this, Champion Kierans Theme and the Unova Wild Pokémon Battle Theme) hit completely different. So yeah, i'll consider those 40 dollars well-spent.

An extended break is definitely called for at some point, especially seeing how consistently you've been working on your covers prior to your break; well deserved I would say.
