Did you use Sev's voice there at the start? From Republic Commando? He *did* have an awful lot to say about bugs, you could probably sample some of his lines.
380mm is so inaccurate I once used it on a nest and it flashed up "automaton fabricator destroyed"
It’s so inaccurate that it destroyed a munitions depot while I was doing a mission to stop an illegal broadcast

These comments are sounding very undemocratic. I'd change your tone helldivers Super Earth equipment has 100% accuracy. Anything below that is user error. /Joke
380mm is so inaccurate, when I threw it, I got a notification that I had recited a tactical nuke

They did make the radius smaller recently. I dunno if that made it more reliable or not though.
@@EchoFoEvahstill feels a little too risky. You can throw it on an outpost and then leave and come back later to clean up. But the walking barrage tends to do that quicker and more thoroughly anyway.
@@mlhx9181 In my personal experience, if you get the fuck out of the way (like double time it away from it) and have a competent team, it makes for good saturation of a general area and is "semi accurate". Gotta remember its artillery, and artillery is never pin point accurate! Ive found it is good for doing heavy damage to nests and clearing out anything in them before I go in and clean up whats left either solo or with a team. However not everybodies game is the same.
@@EchoFoEvah I've found it has helped. It clears out medium outposts/nests more consistently and removes a majority of the fabricators/bug holes on the heavy outposts/nests. Which is one reason I use an armor that increases grenade capacity.
@@unitalavanta1772 Agreed that that's a wise way to treat it however, it's NOT artillery. We know from the upgrade screen that excluding the SEAF Artillery everything is being fired from the Super Destroyer. Mind you it's not like they are firing straight down, and atmospheric interference is a thing. But based on the way the precision shot hits, they should be closer near the beginning of the salvo. Though 380mm is more inaccurate on purpose for the intent of general saturation.
the Geological sample structure scene is legit thought, we had to summon a supply depot to stand on it to access the terminal.

Because the 120 has a smaller AOE, thereby making it more likely to ACTULY hit something!

This is what it's like AFTER its accuracy got buffed. Before the buff, you were lucky if it hit the same planet.
No before the buff it accurately hit every helldiver on the planet now it only hits the ones on your map.
"Calling in 380mm bombardment on beacon's position."
"Helldiver, this is Super Destroyer Bridge. I'm gonna just eyeball it."
This made me remember that one scene in Mass Effect 3 (or 2, hazy memories), when a high command officer was screaming at the recruits for "eyeballing" a target in open space
It's crazy how we can have precision strikes (literally and figuratively) yet the Super Destroyer cannot provide precise aerial bombardment, unless you are a traitor to democracy

Ive seen more bug holes/robot outposts get destroyed by meteor showers than 380 mm barrages

Even with a Scout Suit I can count the number of times the Bugs didn't swarm me on one hand... two, it has been two. Those times where fun to watch, I will admit, as 380mm rained down and they ran back and forth with no idea of what to do next. Of course.... most of the nest is still standing afterwards, as is the Charger that the bombs attracted and two of the original hive guards.
Not sure why, but I have a personal hate for hive guard....
Find myself walking forward, blasting away with a shotty, screaming 'shield against this!' and watching half the pallets hit around the arm guards. Can't do that to a charge though....
On the other hand:
I've had a Bot walker almost step on my face and keep going....

I was told that you gotta dive as soon as you throw the strat, but it feels like a hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes I die.
hitting the target with 380mm is more rarer than completing an escort mission sucessfully in helldivers 2
Even the escort missions in Helldivers are pretty alright. The actual people are disposable, you just have to get enough lemmings over time.
An actual escort mission from the ps2/OG Xbox days is true hell. A stupid ai taped to your wrist that you fail on the spot if they die is usually how it would play out.

50 civs with constant 8 tanks and 5 hulks makes it impossible

@@SepticFuddy I've never witnessed ORC miss in my entire life, the damn thing is the most accurate stratagem period. I dunno what are you talking about.
@@exploertm8738 ORC picks the wrong target once in a while, and doesn't always aim in an optimal spot on the enemy. With ERP, that poor aim translates to some or most of the rockets missing altogether. I assume their basic "aim" script is the same, plus the direction, spread and lag time of the rockets in the case of ERP
@@SepticFuddy 110mm rockets is such a garbage stratagem that even when it hits it barely tickles MEDIUM enemies. Heavies more often than shrug it off entirely.

0:44 happened to me once, the mortar creates a crate and we can't teach the terminal. But the guy who played with me was smart, he put supplies in front of it and we could access the terminal
This video is perfect, and explains why I hate the 380 soooooo much. I've never seen a 380 do anything else OTHER than kill a teammate.

This is why you need the module that adds an extra volley to your orbital barrages... Doesnt improve the accuracy but more attempts improve the odds of hitting at least once!
Accuracy by volume is a perfectly acceptable strategy lol

naaah...technically we should be around the same time. I know mainly that I started the monster hunter series is base on "I want a starcrafts version of monster hunter"(back then he was just mid-way doing episodes of season1) was part of the basis of how it first began and the MH was where I start to focus into doing animations.
but if you are talking about my older animations, then maybe in another technical sense?

380 is slept on for harder difficulties. Since they adjusted it, it has completely destroyed every large and medium enemy base I've tossed it into.
I absolutely never use it. My friend uses it all the time, and I can count on one hand the amount of times it's actually cleared a site.

Worst part is not only does it not hit anything, just throwing the beacon makes every bug in 30meters know exactly where you are.

I use this to cover my retreat. Thats really all its good for or at the evac zone to kinda make it impassable for one direction.
What's missing is that it does pull agro and triggers a bug breach making your situation even worse then before you used it.
I've played orbital roulette with 380mm and lived. It was like watching my own personal meteor shower.

It basically just forms a wall that your team can't cross for what feels like 10 minutes, as the bugs inside go unharmed.

I once used 380mm and got a call from Super Earth why i attacked it. Had to go through some disciplinary lessons after that before i was allowed to board my ship again... it was fun
