For those of you wondering, yes, I really am TimTom’s Mom! We were so lucky to have Grandma Emma. Unfortunately she has passed, but we were blessed to have her in our lives, and I’m happy that Tim was able to share her with all of you. ❤️

I also have a grandma who’s isn’t a blood relative, and honestly I don’t care. Right before I was born my “real” grandma died, so I never got to meet her. My parents asked her best friend to be our grandma and she agreed, and honestly to me she is just as much my grandma as my other grandma
Your "dad" being a jerk to you sounds awful but at least you got to go back to your grandmother afterwards, she sounds like a wonderful person and welcomed you with open arms it also shows that family doesn't always have to be blood related
The grandma was not a jerk except the part where she refused to care for baby Tim Tom and the dad was a jerk to but at the end of the story they got to go see the grandma again and that was pretty wholesome 😊

I had a similar grandma when I was a kid. I loved her more than anything, but she had to leave to be cared for by her own family and I was distraught. I never got to see her again. Hopefully one day I can go see her grave.

I'm lucky I had my own "Emma" who took care of me as a child. She is a bit of a weird lady, but I mean that in the best way possible. She would do anything for my sisters and I. Now we can't see each other that much because she is busy taking care of her own grandchildren but I still remember her waking me up for school and asking me which cartoon character I wanted to be for the day (I was obsessed with roleplaying my favourite characters as a kid and she played along with it). She always uses odd idioms and mannerisms that I've never heard of, and I'm completely sure she makes them up on the spot lol Sorry for the long comment. I just wanted to share my appreciation for this lady
