I often watch these kinds of videos just to feel "understood"
*sigh...yes! The thing is, being an understanding person is either a blessing or a curse since we can understand them but people mistakenly misunderstood us. It can be our actions, the way we speak, the words that comes out of our mouth etc...that can cause disliking or hating us by the people. (Coming from what I've went through)

One thing about the INFP mystery is that while we come off as enigmatic to others, we are also very enigmatic to ourselves, especially when we're teenagers. As an INFP, I have been spending the last several years trying to find the answers to how I work, how I function. Why do I enjoy the things I enjoy? Why do I fear the things I fear?
This journey of self-discovery started when a friend of mine once said to me in high school, "what I like about you is that you're a very 'still waters run deep' kind of person," which is the first descriptor that I had heard that I felt accurately described me. This is one of the things that excites me the most: when I figure out how to accurately express myself through words. Thank the Lord for the MBTI and the existence of the INFP.
The journey continues...
The journey to self discovery is one of the greatest things an INFP can do for themselves.
Growing up, being told I was weird for not talking, interacting, or behaving like other people did a number on my head. But when I took the MBTI test and really delved into what makes me "me", it felt liberating. I now know my goods and bads, and I can tell what I actually need to work on, and don't think I'm just a weird or bad person like I did before because that's what I've been told.
We live in an extrovert's world, but we can build or small house in it when we truly understand ourselves and finally stop letting others push us around or try putting things in our head.

INFPs(aka me) are like, the top mysterious person for many reasons, mainly this 5:
1. We're genuinely nice(this ones confusing because many people think it's forced), and people don't get that
2. We are ALWAYS daydreaming
3. We can be and feel extremely naiive. Little do you know...
4. We keep our lives SECRET
5. If you don't know us, we a shut-in. If you know us, we're extremely interesting
I believe that there is nothing that makes us INFPs happier about ourselves than being Thoroughly educated on the subjects of Morality, and the Patterns of Human Behavior.
That way, we can feel comfortable and confident in our level of authentic accuracy and discision-making when it comes to discerning whats truely valuable.
It takes lots of practice, and to never settle for complacency.
I feel that My sibling really wants me to open up when I break down but I really don't feel better when doing that. Somehow I just prefer them being around me while I breakdown rather than talking it out.
Agree. Often, getting the bursting emotions off the chest is enough.

My mom wants me to explode with emotions like she does but I can’t do it. I find it easier to have a inner dialogue with the different aspects of my personality.
People don’t actually try to get to know me… instead, they want to talk about themselves all the time.
I really have the same problem and it disturbs me a way too much
That make me hating them because i also want to be known but i end up being the councilor or psychologist if you want, then someday if they find someone else they ditch me… it pisses me off so much
INFPs tend to feel the boundary in playful jokes and humiliation honestly. we just have that gut feeling-

it's just so painful when someone criticises one of my hobbies in front my self.
I cherish these gifts and wouldn’t trade them for anything. Truly blessed.

This was a perfect depiction of my personality. Especially the part about why explain myself only to be denied. It's the main reason I don't always share my thoughts. I know that not everyone will agree with the way I see things, and I'm okay with it. Thank you for the posts. I feel seen for who I am, and it's nice to know that I'm not alone as I think.❤😊

Just shows how fallen our world is that we have to guard some of these positive qualities to protect ourselves they are really things that are needed, some INFPs have cultivated so much wisdom through trial and error, that grows with age, that is very needed today. I am very private but I also engage in certain conversations to provide an alternative reality to some of the pathologies that are so readily conditioned as its the way thing are, when we actually have other abundant choices that can be tested to potentially create an alternative reality, of course it should be tested first something may sound good in theory but workout very poorly in practice, or through practice you refine your theory because its flaws become more readily visible which requires adaptions.
You are an example of an INFP putting to practice your creative vision which is of value to others, had you just kept all to you, we would not be receiving it, I hope more INFPs find the ability to be who they are and share more with the world the things they have gained via experience and to also be open to having their thought process challenged because that actually improves your resolve. Thank You!

Its unfortunate that the opposite sex doesn't see our kind warm hearts . So that's why were mostly sll single .no body gives themselves enough time to see it before running away and we miss out on love and companionship
