    Great video thanks mate! Will there be any more videos to come with the all rounder? Maybe see how it goes through a brew? Also dry hopping? Thanks!

      I'll see if some one will send me one, but can't promise anything. It looks exactly the same except for the bottom of course. So it's capable of all the same things as this one. Cheers Jordan!

    Great video as ever. Do you know how to bottle from the All Rounder? I am thinking about investing, I don't really want to start fermenting under pressure, I'm only one brew in so don't want to over complicate things. I'd add Dextrose to the bottles but would just need a way to syphon the beer out safely. I was wondering if the float attached to a longer section of silicon with a bottling stick at the end would work? Many thanks

    It looks like a useful bit of kit. If they do a high temp version I'll be getting one.
    Otherwise, I'll make do with my Fermentasaurus snub nose.
    Haven't checked their website recently to see if the high temp options are available.
    Nice video mate

    If that fan is a sleeve bearing fan, you could swap a computer ball bearing fan in for it - it would last for years. You can also lubricate a sleeve bearing fan with dry silicone spray. It will buy you some time. Do you think the all rounder has advantages over the snub nose version? Thanks again - really great video.

      I havent had a snub nose in my hands but they dont look much different, I think this one is shorter, but not confirmed. Cheers!

    Hi Gash yet another great vid. In your opinion after having the fermzilla and all rounder would most people be better off using the all rounder or to put it another way, does the extra features on the Fermzilla make it the better buy for most home brewers?

    • @HomeBrewNetwork
      @HomeBrewNetwork  4 роки тому

      More most who just want to transfer or brew under pressure the all rounder will be perfectly fine. You can still dry hop through the top etc. Cheers!

    You really don’t need the collection jar
    as you said you can just pour the yeast into a jar.
    If you want to dry hop without adding oxygen you can use magnets, put the bag in when you pitch yeast and hang it by magnets above the wort. Pull the magnet up and down to introduce and take out the hops.
    I have the older snub nose version and really see no reason to upgrade to the collection jar version. If I want a second fermenter I think I will just buy one of these.

    • @bentosan
      @bentosan 4 роки тому

      morse yeah that works too mate, I have had bad experiences with getting my poppets gunked up with hop matter though, thats a big resin why I do the magnet in a bag dryhop (and to stop grass taste) The poppets on my unit are a pain in the ass to get on/off to clean out.
      I like your idea though if you had a carbonation cap you could transfer the yeast into a de-oxygenated and sanitised PET bottle for longer term storage.
      Fill bottle with sanitiser, turn upside, push co2 in until you hear co2 come out and fill with trub/yeast.

    Have you tried any of the keg king pressure fermenters? I use a fermzilla but have been thinking about an all-rounder but I've just seen keg king are releasing the Apollo 30l conical with a bigger lid. I've watched loads of your videos and would love to know your opinion . 👍👍

    • @HomeBrewNetwork
      @HomeBrewNetwork  3 роки тому +1

      Yes I have, they changed a few a things a few years ago, and wouldnt send me anything unless it was a scripted review, so I havent been comfortable with that. You'll find the first fermentasaurus review and I used it a few times, but that small opening was a nightmare, it seems they've made it bigger finally, the very disappointing thing about the video review of the apolla is that they just cant help themselves but have a go at competitors, why couldnt they just review the product with out being childish. I'm interested to have a look at one though. Cheers!

    • @davec4955
      @davec4955 3 роки тому

      @@HomeBrewNetwork Thanks for your feedback, and I do agree with you about the childish digs at the competition. If they could they learn from each other they will develop better products and everyone is a winner !
      Looking at their promotional video for the Apollo, the handles at top look like a weak point. I certainly wouldn't lift a full one but those ! Thanks again keep up the good work.

    • @HomeBrewNetwork

      @@davec4955 yes they do look a bit weak, and the funny thing, he mentioned the straps obviously having a go at Kegland, but unless they connect that fermenter to the stand you wont be able to move it without some form of strapping or whatever, not that you need it if you're not moving it around, but thats all it was for in the fermzilla all rounder, you didnt need it unless you were planning on moving it around. Cheers!

    Gday gash, great videos mate, very helpful and clear communication. I’ve used the AR now for a few brews and have found that when brewing under pressure at 8psi, when I’ve bottled direct from AR I’ve had carb issues, even when adding a carb drop. I thought if anything it would be over carbed, but once I’ve conditioned for 2 weeks at 20c, the beer is pretty much flat. Not sure why?

    • @HomeBrewNetwork
      @HomeBrewNetwork  4 роки тому

      That doesnt sound right, under pressure at 8psi it wont be carbed, it will be very very slightly, if you're carbing in it, to bottle from it without adding sugars you'll need to cold crash it and have a good 12psi on it at least, for probably near a week. Or you can up the ferment pressure to maybe 15psi, and on cold crash attach gas to keep it around that 12-15psi for a day or two and it'll be carbed. Since you're bottling I'm not sure on what equipment you have there. If you dont have the gas set up, you can still ferment under pressure stay in the low range, at end of ferment let most of the pressure out, do that for a day or two, and the beer will be virtually flat, bottle as usual with 2 drops. I dont know where you live but its winter too here so carbing can take a while, have you warmed some bottles up for a week or something? Cheers!

      The Home Brew Network cheers mate, I’m in country Victoria so similar weather to Melbourne. Some good options there and explanations make sense. Just using a bottling wand connected to the AR liquid post and works fine for me to fill bottle from bottom up. Bottling into room temp bottles then straight inside in a foam box to sit at 20c.

    G'day gash just curious if kegland gave these to review? I have noticed that other channels will state whether they purchased them or not. In looking forward to hearing about the kegarator. Will probably be in the market for a new one when I get back into brewing.

    • @HomeBrewNetwork

      I purchased these using vouchers I earned from affiliate links, I either give them away as prizes on my live broadcast or buy things for review. If they are sent to me for free, for review I'll always mention it, but fact is I dont work for them and I would achieve nothing by giving fake reviews. Cheers Jamie!
