    Fantastic details. Got so much information I had to take notes since I loose power and internet pretty often. On plastic seat bases, when I can't come up with a proper cover I use FX all grip material 36x54 inch sheets for about $40 and I get either 2 or 3 seats out of it. They come in black, blue and red. E-Bay is my source but it's in the Parts Unlimited catalog when I'm at a dealer. Many thanks sir, and always look forward to the next vid.

    Doing this now, but on my 1983 200E Big Red and with 185S/200S forks. Same concept, just even more narrow forks than the M. My welding sucks, so imm have to grind and maybe slap some bondo on it to make them look better at 1st glance lol.

      You may need to swaps tank or use bar risers to clear the bigged 200e tank with that front end. Other than the 8 inch ft tire its a better option than a broken factory 200e front end for sure.

      Hey Daver681, that surely is an option, i see having to fill most of the stem with grease to lube the upper bearing, i guess thats why Honda didnt do it. These bearings will last many years with a good packing, i dare say i will ever have to service them again. Thanks for watching.

      Goto partzilla.com, look up your machine, it may be individual balls, the 3 wheelers are. Take that part number and put it in google/ebay or amazon. See if you can find a captured ball bearing like the ones from all ball bearings.

    • @mrcbuilds
      @mrcbuilds  2 роки тому +1

      You have a big decision to make, fenders, tank and seat are you most expensive parts, try to find a parts bike with at least good fender or a usable tank, otherwise it could be a costly build if you opt for NOS parts or even aftermarket, maier fenders a clarke tank will set you back around $800 plus, so way out your options. There great bikes, if you choose to fix it.

      Yeah one of the people that had it before me unless it out in the weather and I have to drop the engine in some apple cider vinegar to get everything cleaned there's rust it's not bad but there's rust and it's froze up so it needs all new bearings needs a new piston and piston rings I have the seat for it I just have to get it from my buddies house if you remember I fond of order she probably seen it already but yeah I need almost everything I'll probably just make some plastics for it out of some plastic barrels or something like that and a heat gun I do know somebody with a old big red that's been sitting for a pretty long time has a broken rear axle if I could get it off them I can just use this one as a parts bike

    I am planning to do this conversion on my 84 Big Red! I was wandering if the ATC200s suspension and axle would fit on a Big Red brake drum and wheel hub? The 200s and 200m front suspension looks similar but reversed. As always great content and information cheers for Quebec!

    • @mrcbuilds
      @mrcbuilds  2 роки тому +2

      The 200s drum and hub will not fit the 200es. The 200s has an 8 inch wheel, different bolt patter and the forks are narrower than the 200m and 200es. You 2 best swap options are the 83 Atc200 or the 85/86 200m. Both have suspension, 9inch wheels and front brakes. Both also share the same bolt pattern as your 200es. I don't think the front end has been swapped or changed, will this bearing kit you used in this video work on my ATC. P.S. I look up my VIN # to find out about my ATC and the motor # matched the year and the 200 is all that it listed for my VIN. do you know how many different 200's they made in 1983 ? • @mrcbuilds
      @mrcbuilds  2 роки тому +1

      If your new to mechanics, I would leave bottom end work to the pros. If you want to tackle it. I would reccomend, Honda Brand bearings, if your going to go that far, you should put in the best parts you can. I would download the repair manual, print it out and order up the parts, clear off a big table and lay everything out as you take it apart. You will need a few special tools, a bearing press and snap ring plyers. A good gasket kit will help as well. Take your time and you will be fine.
