I'm disabled and I wish I could find someone who has the same interests as I do. Also, somebody who is kind, loving, gentle, funny and loves animals like I do. I hope to find somebody that will care and love me for who I am. Somebody who really sees me and not just my disabilities. Maybe on day it will happen. I live in the United States and I'm a 50yr old female.
Here looking for inspiration to help my wonderful autistic son and saw your post. I hope you found that special person Amy. Sending you big hugs. Steve from Scotland.
To all out there..u deserve to be here..you deserve to be loved and give love..finding that special someone is never easy..eventhough the ones that doesn't have a disabilities....never give up..there is someone for everyone..not everyone is looking for perfection..it doesn't exist..be yourself..love yourself..give and try your best. People will find good qualities in you..God bless all of you looking for love and good luck all.❤
I really like Barry he's very handsome, sweet, funny & caring!! I hope he found love and happiness and the others as well they definitely deserve it! 😍
The chubby guy has a horrible attitude towards dating and women. Whilst he's like this, I hope he never finds anybody. He needs to fix his attitude first.
I know exactly what they're going through I have a learning disability too and as soon as the girl finds out I have ADHD + autism I don't want to have anything to do with me after that even though I'm a functioning autistic person you wouldn't know I was autistic unless I told you! I wish I could find someone to love me
I'm sorry women treat you like this and leave. I have a family members how has ADHD he is successful and doing what he loves. As soon as men find out that I can't keep up with them physically because I need a walk they don't want to be with me.
I feel that people with cerebral palsy are trapped in their body. Intellectually normal but because of physical issues sometimes views as mentally delayed
Yeah they are fully normal mentally, ricky gervais's show extras had a female with that physical condition in an episode and it opens your eyes a little
I think it's because the one place in the world where looks are more important than personality is America so to show programmes like this that depicts true reality for a lot of people would be too much for america to handle I'm guessing but I think I'm right😁
Kes is a cutie pie and has a kind , gentle soul. She deserves better so I am glad she rejected Jonathan. He came across as a deluded , egocentric , boring jerk. Dude needs to take a good look in the mirror before judging others.....
OK but why do they think that LOVE always = sex. They should focus on finding a companion and partner...sex is overrated and only makes things complicated.
@Nenethegreat W Of course you're right. It's obvious, but the fact remains, hedonism has so thoroughly permeated our culture that, too often, a person's self-worth is measured by how virile they are!
While it is definitely best to be attracted to a potential partner, you better have a lot more going for you than that. It's clear this guy is both immature and shallow. He needs to mature and grow some if he expects to attract the right partner. Concentrate more on what it is HE has to offer. (right now it's not much of anything from what I can see)
@johanna carron so you think people with special needs are ok being shallow? It doesn't take great intellect or physical abilities to understand the value of a good person.
@johanna carron and I will repeat myself. Special needs or not, if you can't have the ability to honestly love or to have some level of maturity no relationship will work. I've met and worked with many Down's individuals. They have the capacity to love unconditionally, they definitely aren't judging on looks.
Good gal, Kes> She deserves someone better than John. Kes is like me in some ways. We are both average to below average in appearance which makes it difficult to find potential decent dates. I really hope Kes finds someone who will treat her as a human being and will look past her appearance.
Just because a person has cerebral palsy does not mean they are intellectually challenged. That means they are completely aware of their surroundings and have the same desires as “able bodied” persons. I hate when people speak to these people like they are dumb.
Kes, beautiful pixie girl.... She has it right. Find a friend and see where it goes. That's the only way. Dating is too superficial. You can't get to know someone in an hour. Sparks...the kind that last aren't real until you know someone.

How do you find someone who like me CANNOT work or socialise or go out to any so-called "hospitality" venues because they're so intolerable? Why ARE such folk always so totally ignored? They DO matter and ARE human!
I’m autistic and adhd and I’m a girl who almost 29 in 2024 I’ve been in a relationship with my boyfriend since 2017 and still going he’s just from South Korea he’s 16 hours a head of me! Oh Kids no matter who you are love is a run away trainwreck. Best wishes, you'll be better than myself at it. My disabled Aunt was married to her husband forever until death did they part. Sweetest thing ever, they took care of each other.

Did,...did I understand that mother correctly? When her and her daughter were reading off the persons profile, and it said, " tall, dark, & looking for his Cinderella ". The mom says, " well in your case, one of the stepsisters. " Was that an insult to her??! Felt like it. Surely, mom wasn't that big a jerk.
As someone who is blind and therefore can’t see, I don’t care about hair colour, it’s what’s inside that counts, and chemistry, after all, don’t they say love is blind? And yes pun was intended lol. :)
Patrick: as a Muslim man living with my grandmother is quite degrading and I love women in The niqab I find them attractive piously and also attractive and beauty because women's need cobs are sometimes ironed pressed and beautiful but if I had to date a disabled Muslim woman I would love her without her niqab in the house and with her niqab outside the house but as Shakespeare said and I am sure it is Shakespeare beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that is quite true as much as I as a Muslim like material objects and I still do not let the material things mislead me from the path of Allah but on the contrary I think as a human being's body I would like to say there is no perfect standard to human beings anatomy and capability but I don't know too many women and niqab that are disabled thank you!
Just because someone has a disability it doesn't mean they have to date someone else with a disability. What if their soulmate happens to not have any mental or physical disabilitiy? I think people with disbilities should not be so limited when looking for love. Yes they need the support from a carer but they should be able to date from a bigger pool of people.
I really liked Barry, intelligent good looking and just a nice chap. I really hope by now you are settled down with a girl and are happy. One of my relatives has CP and is married with one daughter so dreams can and do happen.
Dating sites, or any dating outfits, are a complete waste of space. They're ALWAYS FAR too elitist. Even those for the "disabled" are always the same in my experience. Why is it ALWAYS the same standard story, Why are all the other members there always professional classes? Why is there NEVER anyone even remotely like ME who can't even stack shelves or sweep the streets? AND you're always expected to be a complete and total easy-lifer, you're always expected to be a right hyper-hysterical loud mouth extrovert and you're always expected to have a right rip-roaring joyride life and you're always expected to like dogs, and alcohol, and all the rowdy h-ll holes that serve it, and rowdy partying, and nightlife, and restaurants, and you're always expected to like brutal frying HOT sun and frying hot foreign "holiday" resorts, and you're always expected to be well educated and have some fancy top job, and have a car and big FAT salary to match, and be able to live with someone, and marry, and be able to reproduce safely and be a parent etc. the list goes on, and on...Well far too many expect FAR too MUCH! Some of us can't manage ANY of that stuff, why are folk like ME never ever shown in the media?! Why the ENDLESS fanatical prejudice?! Why is there never anyone remotely suitable for me at dating outfits?!
that is really cool, unfortunately in most places relationships - even close friendships are actively discouraged and prevented, i was in special Olympics 20 years ago,, as well as in the adult social services, and they DO NOT allow relationships they actively would separate people, and would not allow people to form close bonds, i was mis DX'd as DD/MR due to bad evals, i actually have a couple of learning disabilities, ( issues with math, and reading comprehension, and general processing issues ) but i was not tested properly, nor was i ever given proper accommodations, instead i was quickly written off as slow / delayed DD, and ended up in the system, luckily i got out, but i tell ya, after a little over 20 years of not being allowed, or given any access to potential relationships, even when quite a few case workers and helper-aids would ask , ''a re you interested in friendships, or other relationships as in romantic / love '' i said yes, and id love it if they could help me network and meet people'' not a single one of them would... they all said after i answered yes and asked for help, they said things like : oh i really dont know anyone, or i dont have much in ways of friends myself'' thankfully i got out, i even got tested with a visual based test, that is geared for folks who are known to be learning disabled, or its suspected, and i scored over 100, if i remember right it was 102, in all areas was at or a little over 100.
Very compassionate and intelligent care workers and family members. First have gratitude for their patient company and you'll be come likeable.

her "he's kind"

When that support worker was talking about a person with disabilities only gets touched when assisted that really touched my heart ❤

Bc in the USA their more focus on looks and Stereo types all the dating/reality shows focus so much on looks

OK but why do they think that LOVE always = sex. They should focus on finding a companion and partner...sex is overrated and only makes things complicated.
I agree. Sex in the American culture is way, way over-rated, over emphasized to the point that we've become totally hedonistic.
If your not physically attractive to them. Then the relationship will not last.
@Nenethegreat W Of course you're right. It's obvious, but the fact remains, hedonism has so thoroughly permeated our culture that, too often, a person's self-worth is measured by how virile they are!
I agree, but sex is definitely NOT overrated if you have a solid relationship with a solid partner.
No sex = you might as well marry a robot. You're nothing more than business friends if there is no physical relationship.
While it is definitely best to be attracted to a potential partner, you better have a lot more going for you than that. It's clear this guy is both immature and shallow.
