I have had a servants heart since I was a little girl. I hate getting older and find I'm unable to do as much physically. I need to learn how to accept help from others at times. God wants us to do that too.🙏 Deb.
Yes, that part of life is hard to accept.
You all had a week of blessings. A blessing that it rained, a blessing that Calvin takes such great care of Marie when she is sick, a blessing that Marie is better, a blessing that you were able to spend time with your great grandchildren. My question for your next Q & A: How do you all handle the chores & household cleaning? Do you do it together it 1 day or do spread cleaning through out the week? Does 1 of you do all the cleaning? Does your granddaughter Holly that lives next door help? Do you pay a company or someone to clean? Calvin mentioned in several videos he cuts the grass so I know he doesn’t pay a company to do it. As we get older we are not able to chores like we used to.

Marie, Rest, Rest, and Rest. At our age, we know that's what it takes for our bodies to fight off things. That means going out for lunch, grocery shopping or visiting. Just Rest! . It would be nice if your family brought you and Calvin a meal or two so you can Rest. Notice I used the word REST a lot. Take care. This scolding was done out of concern for the both of you.

❤Marie, thank you for sharing the devotional this morning. What we do for others we are doing unto the Glory of God and not for our own edification. So many times good folks of God start out working for Jesus in an humble manner then sometimes as they grow and their churches grow, many become exhaulted in themselves. When the ego and giving for our own glory cause us to become swell headed, we are in trouble. I have seen too many fall into this trap esp tv ministers. Lord, keep our hearts humble and what we do or say let it be all for the lifting up of Jesus. Praying you are completely healed . God bless you both in every way. Love you both. ❤️🙏🏻

Good Sunday morning, Calvin & Marie. I'm in n. Alabama & yesterday it was 108 heat index. We are in a heat advisory until 7 tonight . we've had no rain yet & it is so humid.

I pray for all of the folks that I watch on UA-cam. You all become like family. Marie, rest and take care of yourself. At our age, we do take longer to heal. Hope the doctors' findings are good Calvin. I loved the 4th of July cooking video. When we have to take antibiotics, it kills the good with the bad. Our gut flora becomes weak. Which leads to other symptoms. Take a probiotic to replenish the good flora in the gut. I use Douglas Labs and I buy the high potency probiotic. It is expensive but the ingredients are the best. I take one at bedtime, for 2 weeks. It makes all the difference in my health. We take our health for granted each day, until we do not feel good. Taking care of ourselves has to be our top priority. I'm so sorry that you're sick with Bronchitis. It's good that you got on Antibiotics quickly. I get Bronchitis at least once a year & it knocks me out for 2 or 3 months. I wish there was a way to prevent it. Get well soon, Marie

I totally agree with how we deal with things when you get older, some things like having money to pay to get things done is ok, but physical challenges with our health & not bouncing back as fast like Marie said is stressful.

I have had a stye and it got infected and my eye doctor was on vacation so I had to see another eye doctor then my capped tooth came out so dentist tomorrow. It is not fun getting older at all. It has been so hot. I just placed my order for my fried chicken, got my potatoes on for potato salad and my yukky green peas cooking. I was really BAD yesterday, I made a German Chocolate Pie, love them but the coconut gets in my teeth, I think that is why my tooth came out. LOL, that is what I get for eating something I am not supposed to have, but I love sweets and just eat a little in moderation. Yall have a great week, gosh it is already 81 degrees at 8: 39 am wow, it is going to be a hot one. I am going to get my chicken early so I can watch my morning church service at 11:00. Hope you feel better. If there is alot of mistakes in this my vision is not the best this morning. I had catatact surgery on both eyes last year and my vision has been very good until the stye. Yall be careful, be safe. I start my Sunday's with your morning chats, I enjoy them so much. I love HT chicken, I can not try a chicken for 6.99 and don't really want to heat up my kitchen. I finally got moved it was so hard, I finally realized I am not as young as I think I am. I am 70. Praying we get a little rain, any amount would be appreciated that God wants us to have, just no bad storms. I am very chatty this morning. LOL LOL

I’m sorry your not feeling well Marie. Bronchitis is the worst and it does take a good while to get over it. This extreme heat and then going in and out of ac I think makes us get sick.

Hello you two, love your video's. Calvin maybe you should check behind your refrigerator. Make sure you don't have any lint behind or around the motor, that also can make the refrigerator to be warm inside. Just saying. Happy 4th. Marie glad to see you again. Blessings
Thanks for the idea, but I had already checked that. The problem was that I had the thermostat dial inside the refrigerator set up to high. After I turned it down it adjusted back to regular temperature.
