I use the same methods you do, make plaques and all, hadn’t thought of state plaques. Thanks for the ideal. I have dunked in mop n glow also works great just dunk it, gets inside the and everything sealed, and super fast. But I mop n glow antlers and all. And it’s super effective, efficient, and much cheaper then clear polyurethane. My shop is set up like an assembly line, skin, hydrate, boil and pressure wash, remove brain, nasal passages, remove ear buds and drill out, whiten boil, drying area, mop n glow dunk, then final drying, onto plaques and hangers, out the door. I’m in southeastern KY. My only down fall is my hunting has suffered from the work load lol. Keep up the great work.
I have a question being a newbie to this. I have a few heads that have been given to me that were not skinned just left in a toolbox and have dried out skin still on. What should I do to rehydrate them so they can be skinned. What should my first steps be to use your methods. Thank you very much in advance.
If you don't mind an extra step, you can always wrap the antlers in cling wrap before coating the skull. For big racks, maybe fold some newspaper over them and then wrap that with cling wrap, instead of individually wrapping each point. The main thing is to protect the pedicle area from getting coated - you can always touch up the bone beneath the pedicles with a paint brush coating if you need to, easier than trying to remove dried-on coat that you missed.
Mop n glowing the antlers doesn’t leave it shiny like clear polyurethane or anything else. It leaves it more of a matte. I’ve done both and tons more in the years I’ve been doing them as trial and error, first ones I done around 10 years ago I painted the skulls white. They were mine. They still look good hanging on wall and I’ve thought about redoing them the right way or my 10 years improved way, but I use them as examples to people, and myself. Of my results through the years of trial and error. Best advice and methods I’ve seen as a whole is white bone creations UA-cam. Learned watching him 10 years ago. Basically use his methods but have Tailored them to my own needs also. I mostly only do deer and mostly bucks unless it’s a first doe and someone wants it done. Then I leave the lower jaw in and do both skull and lower jaw. Makes a unique euro mount.
Depends on who wants ear buds and nasal bones, most people don’t care, that’s just how I’ve always done it, but if you want to spend 3 extra hrs getting that stuff out then go for it.

Thanks for the great tip on the spray bottle! I've always used a paint brush to put it on, also. That looks so much faster.
You are so welcome!
Cool video. Can you show some videos on how you prepare and whiting process?
Yes sir, I did a video today on that, planning to post it this weekend.
Check out more of my videos I have a whole video on whitening the skulls

I would let them soak for a week then skin and probably soak a few more days then continue with cleaning and bleaching. Good luck!
A little gets on the antlers but not much, if it does I just wipe it off with a rag.
Looks like the coyote skull is full of grease.
First one I ever did, so yeah it probably is.
Yes sir mop n glow is the trick for sure.
What do you normally charge for a whitetail skull? Not to sell one, but yo European it
$100
Do you get it the antlers like that? I’ve clear coated some skulls I’ve done in the past and it leaves the antlers shiny

Even after mop n glo that deep grease still leeches up and yellows a skull
Not if you get it all out🙂
@@The-Arrowed-Artisan can only boil in peroxide for so long

Tha ear buds are busted out as well as the nasal bones. That’s not good

Can I have a deer
I can not stand the plastic white look. I want the yellowish or dirt stained look.
To each his own brother! Thanks for watching!
