Same. The steamer weekend really solidified that for me. I was bummed there wasn't hours of G9 game play. No wigs, no yelling or over the top antics, just Jersey attitude and dead zombo's.

Glock9 is awsome. I do wonder sometimes if content creators think every comment is directed at them. I just got blocked by IzPrebuilt because I commented that in A21 cement mixers were 100% forge ahead and he took offense for some reason.
I like that the traders open at 4 am now, can get an early start on some quests.
It's not 4am per se, they open after your night ends.
Of course, most of us do the 10-4 6 hr night, so it's understandable everyone says 4am. Lol.
@@jeffrobagman2834 I play with 12-12 (hours long day-night) settings exclusively and the trader still opens at 4AM.

I love that 7 days is getting great updates but I do miss fighting the first hoard with a spears and a toilet pistol.
The pistols in the toilets are back, that's how Glock got his in this series
That's basically all I had for my first horde on 1.0. My pipe pistol died and I had forgotten pipe, so I had to resort to my bow-arrow. I survived -- until the next day when a flock of vultures lacerated me and I couldn't patch it fast enough. 😖

Could even use an assortment of weapons/gear if you really wanna get themed.

Father Glock 2: Crypt Keeper
All horde nights last till 4 now. Apparently, there is the main horde, than after that is over there still will be a trickle of zombies after that until 4
Our first day 7 hoard lasted until 4am - we only just made it through with a small amount of ammo and weak guns - repairing the iron hatch madly.
The next two hordes finished around 2am - thank goodness. We were specked into ADVANCED ENGINEER so found many Forge Ahead magazines at the start. Our corridor/hatch/electricity Horde Base still works great in this version. We like the face to face with our Zombies.
For the third horde night we only just found enough Electrical Trap Magazines, 25/75, for the electric fences and fittings in the last 2 days. Luckily we found the last needed book, Electrical Wiring 101 giving us magazine 25/100, in some rubbish, just in time to make the Generator, already had some motors and some fuel. Using lvl3 Ranger gear, heavy armour, at present.
We had just enough steel for the front hatch and so survived the day 21 Horde night with the bullets we made. We were yet to get a Chem set - so we made gunpowder on ourselves to make more bullets. Fun times - very tense getting the last few electricity books. No beaker yet but plenty of Acid.
Quests, quests, quests for books. Fun times.

TFP seem to have greased the bearings of the bike because you can now roll downhill without pedaling indefinitely as long as there's a sufficient incline to allow it.
it definitely added a momentum mechanic into it.. used to be when you hopped off the bike it fell almost immediately... now it'll go quite a ways before it stops

Yep. That's true. The night number 7 it's way more intense than before.
I was testing the update and I jumped to day 7. I made a basic stair horde base. I gave myself level 25 (usually I'm level 25 at night 7) and also I gave myself an ak-47 ,a pistol and machine gun. 600 9mm ammo. 1900 7.62 ammo. Gamestage was around 35-45 and I used all that to survive the entire night. (No mele fight or explosives tho) But still. Compared with last alpha it's way more intense. I like it.
@@jaydunbar7538 of course it can be done. Because the spawn rate depends on how fast you kill the zombies. But compared to the last alpha. It's like night 70 but without those "hard"zombies. I hope the spawn it's still based on player count like before. I plan to play with my friend and before we had a horde for each player. So playing with him I had double horde.
if you want it extra crazy, make your horde base in the burnt or higher (wasteland if you're a madochist) and fight the day 7 horde there.
You can unlock tier 2 by day 2 or 3 pretty easy and still be low level with low quality weapons, then you get to the burnt biome and you get wild ferals and lots in the tier 2 quests. It's a big step up from a21 as well

Yo, you could do a new series. The 'Crypt Keeper'. Live in and have a base at the graveyard or crypts. That water would be good for zombies to fall in if you destroyed the ceiling above and made some sort of catwalk.
I found two legendary parts in those graves - the first two that I found on my playthrough. They were worth it for me.

The most valuable thing I've consistently found in graves has been armor parts, did find one chunk of gold though so that was nice

In my last playthrough before 1.0, I made the wagon into a base with mixed results. There was plenty of parking and splitting my crafting between the diner, the shed out back, and the gift shop worked ok ish, but keeping the locals out of the base was a full time job
Thank you for starting this new series on 7dtd. I have had this game for .. well feels like forever and didn't realize it finally released. I take breaks from time to time on all games and I just happen to be on a break now. It is great to see some of the changes that happened. Also I enjoy seeing how you approach various problems/situations the game presents.

Got my dead inside shirt yesterday in the mail. I think the sizes may run a lil small if you're getting one. I usually wear larges but maybe should have got an xl, just a heads up for anyone else.

Now that the game is out in full it would be fun to see the pimps go the route of minecraft and add little tweaks here and there. Like a fishing mechanic, More traps and powered blocks, or like you suggested last episode some new biomes and water based travel.

I’m using the crypt poi as a base the underground area with the gate makes for a good mine. And the upper part converts into a good funnel base.

Me and my group are making the Crypt into our base. Took us a hot minute to drain all that water out.
After all my hours played and hours watching you play, I have NEVER seen anything behind a picture of a cat or dog.

Oh yeah man, I ran double xp as well. I got my butt handed to me. You can probably handle it cuz you're a champ and I'm out of practice, but I got my butt blasted (I survived, but it was an absolute mess). Night 14, no such luck. Ded-fred.

I think the biggest intensity for night 7 is it doesn't just end like it used to they keep coming even after normal waves until dawn so it feels way more intense then it used to. Add in the HP increase that zombies got and it feels way more then it is.
Hordes don't end until 4AM no matter what in 1.0. The same horde mechanic runs and expires if you kill enough of them, but they continue to trickle in until 4AM regardless.
Loving my new Glock 9 Dead inside top mate and loving this new 1.0. Good luck on horde night, its nice to have the trader to fall back to if you get over run lol
Even if you finish the horde night, zombies do not stop coming until morning.

l love all the work for the 1.0 release. They did alot of glow up and I love the new clothing style. I am really excited for you to do a Father Glock II!! You could be the under taker and have to build a church that you turn into your base for horde night. That could be a fun concept but, even just a has to have home and base as a only church.

The crypts were my favorite group base, top for fighting and underneath for the base. With it being flooded idk if it'll be worth it anymore to clear out with buckets
