I have had in on my shelf for a few years, it was so far ahead at the time. Thanks for all your great vids.
Still use mine that I bought in... 2013? Swapped the battery once and it's been an amazing device
I still have mine 😊
Yeah where this is old ... it's still awesome to have around 😄
Can we like upgrade it?
@@ayrevaluations9783 Just the OS from Android 4 to 5. As for hardware, officially no. Unofficial, some genius can figure out a way.
Man, Nvidia really should come back with a handheld, I still have 2 of my shield tablets, they were ahead of the curb back then! I was game streaming in 2014! And it worked WELL! And playing Strike Suit Zero and PPSSPP on it at 3x was awesome, horrible battery life, but great speakers. Sadly the charging port on both kinda gave way and they're pretty much paper weights now.
Great video, buddy!
Haven't watched you in a while, came back because you were posting back handhelds.
Nice vid!
I have around 10 handheld video's i need to make 😂
First some retro stuff I have here for ever then handheld mode 😆
Definitely thinking of getting one, looks like an amazing handheld
Retroarch is not working well on my NSP .
Sometime , this app was sudden shutdowned .
I went all over my city trying to find one when I heard some gametop employees saying that they were shipping any unsold units back to Nvidia right before it was quietly discontinued. I was fortunate to get it new and that day because they had it the back room ready to be shipped back to Nvidia. Although I had to convince the store rep to sell it to me. He didn't really understand what kind of device it was.
Nvidia failed to advertise the Shield properly. None of my gamer friends even knew what the Shield was. I was the only one that did. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't fit in my pocket, lol. But it is a beast for emulation. And I love the native ports of many of the games it received such as Half Life 2, Portal, and Resident Evil 5. Amazing device but probably not worth the price that resellers are asking for these days, bums.
I been wanting one of these since they came out and I still do
The Shield is great, I still have mine, but the prices that people are selling them for these days makes it not worth buying. Especially since you could spend less money on a newer device that gives you the same or better performance.
I sold mine a few years back but I do miss it, I wish they'd release a 2024 version
Yeah, would be so cool if was returning with more power so we can play everything.
Or all the way to PS2 at least 😄
@@WickedGamerCollector The closest thing you'll get in regards to that are the GPD Win devices.
god I miss those times
Buying handheld systems lies in their battery replacement, a couple of years later will require the battery to be replaced and if its hard to do so then it will meet its end in the garbage can and more systems will follow their end as well, this is more like how they make quick money with less effort and release newer models every few months to keep the sales rolling and then they get disposed under a short time in order to continue selling new ones 😢its pretty sad but thats how they planned it from the beginning similar to the mobile market . All portable gadgets will follow their end in the end!. If there is gaming handheld that accepts the most common rechargeable batteries which you can find anywhere then your gadget is future proof!
Yeah that does suck. As much as I love my Shield, I know the battery can become a problem in the future. I recently came a cross something I've never seen before, which is a cheap hand held that has a battery compartment for both a rechargeable and standard AAA batteries. I think all handheld gaming devices should have that!
Same processor as nintendo switch?
I think it was almost the same.
@@WickedGamerCollector Actually it's the Tegra 4, which predated the Tegra K1 which predated the Tegra X1 which was the switch was mostly based on, the X1 you could find in the later shield tv devices and a few tablets like the Google Pixel C.
"Chains of Kinkiness" 🤣👍
yeah ! 😈
the concept was good...
Yeah, they gave up on it too quickly and didn't advertise it enough. Everyone I spoke to didn't' even know it existed. Including the store rep where I bought it from years ago! He wasn't really sure what kind of device it was.
How do i unlock to use games liek yours???
Amazing handheld. Really worth getting one if you can
It seems we all have no time to use any but only to have a glance and still can't finish!
Dusting mine off as we speak...
Tegra 4 worked good yet now, not need nice cooling
Unbelievable, every day tons of emulator devices models appear, what is happening?!
Isn't there a new one?
Unfortunately no, Nvidia quietly discontinued the product with no new version ever since.
The Nvidia shield will protect us 😂
👍👍™️
It needs a smaller screen
Why? it has a 720p display and the screen is almost the same width as the console itself. That's the best size for it. Playing Half Life 2 and Portal on it is awesome.
