I love this. I pre-ordered mine and can't wait to explore with this vid as a jumping off point once I get stumped on what to do next after my initial run-through! 😀
⚡️🎛🔊🌈 sounds so good. Thanx for tips/tricks !!!! ordered my 292t from control nyc this morning. it will fill out my 208hp case full of tiptop buchla modules. appreciate you sharing insights as this series unfolds.
It doesn’t have a velocity input but it does respond to me adjusting the amplitude of the signal I am sending it, so this is very easy to work around IMO.
Waiting for the vactrol-less version. Even though my favorite sounding LPGs don't actually use vactrols, I would prefer to have a vactrol based version of this, just to stay true to the original..alas no such luck for EU/UK people....strangely enough, Make Noise which have vactrols, are all over the EU. Odd, but it is what it is I guess.
The output, in my case, goes to a small mixer which is routed to my monitor speakers and on to my audio interface to record to my computer. Hope that helps. Happy exploring
Uff, I was really hoping for a feat of engineering that would make vactrols as we know them in this circuit obsolete… but sadly, that LPG sounds nothing like the Buchla sound that we all know and love. 😢 Thanks for the demo, though, Todd! 👏
The more videos I see of the TipTop Buchla stuff, the more I think I want to put a small system together.

Excellent ... very inspirational tips here! Love watching your Tiptop Buchla Series and repatch it on my system :)
coming to Australia next week!!!
Always a wealth of information for general (and tiptop/buchla specific) synth techniques! Thanks for sharing!
Sweet! Lovely overview Todd!
Thank you Daniel!
Just ordered from Perfect Circuit. Great timing on the video. Todd, you are the best!
Can’t wait to pick this one up! Thanks again for all the great info and inspiring ideas!
Another wonderful video Todd! Just ordered two of 'em!!
Most excellent! 🎛🎛
Can't wait
I need to stop watching these videos when I’m poor 😢
Behringer clone will be here soon, not to worry 😂
Rad. Thank you.
I was wondering why the 292t doesn't have a velocity input, then i checked the price, wow what a value!
These are 200 series. Velocity input are 200e series …

In response to my own post, I managed to get the vactrol version and man...its my favourite LPG already!
how did you get 292t LPG? if sale of the vactrols in UK/EU have been banned? @@nectariosm
@@polutropos I didn't buy it in the EU/UK. Mayne people have been ordering from the USA, payed customs and got their units.
I'd love to see how you can use it in a quadraphonic context. Are the individual outputs line signal? Or are they still in the modular range?
Don't really know. I just take them out to powered speakers or a mixing desk and no problem.
@@vgermuse That's awesome! Good to know, I've been wanting to experiment with quadraphonic setups :)
They’re in the modular range.
I'm super-new to Eurorack... question: how are you hearing the sound generated by these modules??? What are you connecting the output to?
The output, in my case, goes to a small mixer which is routed to my monitor speakers and on to my audio interface to record to my computer. Hope that helps. Happy exploring
Hello Todd, I have a question, is it possible to hipass with the quad lowpass gate? if it is, then how does one do it?
A good question, here’s the closed I can get to an answer ua-cam.com/video/EG3ZfPAsHuI/v-deo.htmlsi=m_O3EYTfQ0_buc2g
