My god I have finally found the Bruce Lee of logical no bullshit training films!...... Now this all makes sense.... Great stuff thanks
Have you taken his course yet ?
You are the goat Ross. Thanks for making this information so accessible 🙏
Thanks for your thoughts!
Yep, I just sold 10 TSLA that I didn't own @ $1,228.30 and now I'm -10 shares (paper account). Now after a few days when it drops to $150 a share, I'll buy 10 shares to close (cover) and profit $10,783. See how that works? Nothing to it.
Thanks for the comment!
super helpful video..youtube should have a two thumbs up button :)
You sir get two thumbs up for that comment !! I totally agree !
Q= so what is the upside of short selling? Meaning what is profit potential if the stock does go down?
Starting out in stocks...Should I even worry about shorting, seems very risky for a newbie
Kevin Rutland from what I have read.. no lol
I have been watching some Tim Sykes videos and I have to say, I like your teaching style over his. Both of you have great insights, but your presentation and professionalism stand out. Looking forward to watching more videos.
Thanks Jeff!
Another great video. Thanks, it's hard to find clear & complete explanations of trading fundamentals.
Baby Novice here with a question...... Can you place a stoploss(stop limit) to buy back the shares that you owe the broker?
Yes you can!
I'm falling in love with this, thanks again Ross, great explanation and tips!
You're welcome Andrew!
Have you done his course ?
@@tyheckel168 yes, the 22 videos about terminologies, I still come to them from time to time.
Best video I’ve seen to learn shorting by far great job!
Thanks Trey!
Hey but we can avoid unlimited loss by putting a stop loss above the short ..
👍
Why do I love the fact that you always have Spotify floating!!!
For real thank you for your training!
Thanks for watching!!
Ross you are a great teacher ... excellent style of teaching
Thanks so much ayesha!
Excellent video. Thanks Ross!
You're welcome!
Thank you for uploading this one. I would be grateful if you could explain to me how short selling creates more supply. Thanks Ross
Hey Faical, with shorts having to sell their shares to enter a trade that provides longs with shares to buy. And then on the flip side creates demand when they have to buy those shares to cover.
Thank you so much!
Some strategies that I have used in the past catch turning points in at markets but give premature and dangerous signals when the markets begin to trend. But so far Lukasz Wilhelm's IQD strategy is far most the only complete strategy I have ever used. Every trader should have this information and if you have the IQD strategy and still lose money, then maybe trading isn't for you.
Thank you for sharing great video! but where can you find or know a company had short interest %? Thanks!
Our stock scanners show short interest! If you haven't had a chance to attend yet, the best way for you to learn more about our stock scanners would be to join us in the next live Warrior Trading webinar. The webinar is free to join, and you will receive a copy of Ross' best selling ebook "How To Day Trade" just for sticking around until the Q&A! You can learn more and register here, if you're interested: www.warriortrading.com/free-day-trading-class/
When we buying, we are already in loss. If we buy a 1000 shares with a range of just a penny, it's already $100 short right there. how much more cash we go for loss management?

Great training Ross and thank you very much!
Really great video. I am new and been watching your videos taking notes.
Awesome! Thank you!
Amazing information. You are genuinely helping people.
Thanks Ethan!
You should make a Video Game for practicing trading stocks.
Interesting!
Thanks brotha. Hey, question: Is there a way to see what the short interest is on a stock, or like I'm assuming, is it something that is more inferred from the market conditions?
You can view short interest using a resource such as Yahoo Finance.
Okay, cool. I noticed it on finviz, under short float %. Thanks again!
Id like to follow you guys and get a great learning approach to this. currently i have never traded, type with two fingers, and live in BC, Canada with what... i think quest trader as a newly created account but not funded yet. please feel free to suggest the best start for me! ill be making this my morning passion as i can already see the fun technical aspect to it... if i dont mess it up. ill be starting off with a 10' laptop and hope to improve setup later on. i got say i keep reviewing on ow to trade and it seems majority of what im watching are videos from Ross. awesome informative stuff for sure! thanks
Hello fellow Canadian from BC! I see your comment is from 2 years ago, how has the last 2 years of trading worked out for you? Still using Quest trader?
It's a funny thing being so new to this and trying to wrap my head around 'selling stock that I don't own'. 0.o
Crazy helpful, thanks Ross!
Glad you found the vid helpful! Thanks for watching.
Hey Ross.
Regarding the Short Squeeze and SSR, is my understanding correct, that it is much better (less riskier) for traders, beginners especially, to trade in stocks with SSR?
Cause to prevent from getting caught up with the big whales/sharks move.
Many thanks in advance.
Hey Izzat, Hey there, check out this blog - I think it will help clear things up for you: www.warriortrading.com/short-sale-rule-day-trading-terminology/
We teach this more in-depth in our Warrior Pro Course - www.warriortrading.com/trading-courses/
Hey Ross, can I ask a question?
Let's say in that example of the $100 spike on a short you talked about here, you said that you would eventually have to cover what you borrowed and be down like $100,000 or something. But would you be allowed by the broker to hold onto them still and wait for it to got back down some? Or do as soon as you lose you have to pay the broker back asap? Cuz in that chart it looks like although the price spiked from $4.00 a share to $100 a share it looks like it still went back down to normal $4 a share? So could a patient trader who guessed or knew it would come back break even at the least and not lose $100,000?
Thanks Ross
oh, okay nevermind you answered it after that part of the video lol. Sorry.
great teacher

Great video!
if you short with the same win/loss ratio as when youre buying stock, is it the same concept?
Yes it is!
Exellent explination. THANKS
You bet Mark!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Does it mean that you only make profit when you buy
You can profit by shorting as well
Thanks.
Thanks for watching!

Can I borrow 2k worth of shares with a 200 account?
That's a question you should direct to your broker to see what their policies are for leverage with your margin account. Thanks for watching!
15:17 - "... but there's nothing to prevent long-bias traders from hitting market orders, and just squeezing these stocks up..." well there wasn't, until RobinHood came along! 😂

I'm loving your content, man. I'll be joining your study course soon.
So if you make money on short selling its coming out of the brokers pocket? If I understood this right ... lol
Brilliant, again!
Thanks!
I thought when you buy you win and when you sell you win as long as it goes in the direction of your trade
Short selling is the opposite, you sell the stock first and then buy it back at a lower price for a profit
